I have recently started using Thunderbird 115.4.3 on a new laptop running Windows 11. I transferred my profile from my old laptop and set up my two email accounts as POP accounts. The problem is that Tbird is regularly crashing, mostly (maybe only?) when I delete messages from my Inbox. When I restart the program, it works fine except that all or most of the messages in Trash are now duplicated multiple times. Any ideas how to stop this behavior?

Hi, I want to delete my acccount entirely and start fresh, I login to the website just fine, but when going to the "Delete Account" button I keep getting an "Incorrect Password" pop-up.

I've changed the password twice now, logged in just FINE, yet keep getting told I'm using the incorrect password when trying to delete my account.

I've tried on multiple different browsers now to delete the account and it's just not working.

I really wanted to swap over to Firefox but everytime I try, I get some insanely stupid issue that never ends up being resolved, I've found another thread from 2021 about this and they stated it never got fixed and they had to make a whole new email just to use the service.

My computer was compromised And as a result I had to repair and re install my Microsoft operating system windows 10 pro. That procedure wiped out my Firefox browser and now I have no record. Is there a backup that the browser keeps on a cloud.

So I have two different accounts for one website. However one of them I use very rarely, maybe once in 2-3 months the other one i use almost daily. Therefore I have saved both logins in Firefox and I can see them in my passwords.

The problem is that whenever I try to access the website, Firefox auto-fills the "second" account, the one i only use rarely. What this means is that instead of me being able to just press login i have to delete the username filled in by Firefox and select the other one. So what i would like to do is to maybe tell Mozilla that I want it to use the other account for auto-fill.

In order to complete last update I had to Uninstaller and reinstall Firefox for Android. Now all my collections are gone !!!!! How can I retrieve My Colections?

I'm a newbe Thunderbird user making the transition from Outlook which I've used for years but recently discovered is too compromising especially when it comes to archiving. Have been using Mozilla for years on a Surface laptop (windows 11), Cyberpower desktop (windows 10), and Android Note 20. I've downloaded Thunderbird and it is working fine. Where can I find user training videos for Thundbird, especially archiving? Are there other ways besides on-line gifting in which I can contribute to the research that makes Mozilla and Thunderbird possible? Thank you.

After some basic research, it was suggested that the Outgoing Server should be set to Oath2 but I am unable to change this.

Cannot prevent intrusive unwanted video on some pages; notably, CTV.ca which has an annoying widget which autoplays constantly and blockers are not effective, neither is video.autoplay.default=5 That USED to be the default no-fail go-to, now it has no effect whatsoever and I'm stymied in my attempts to block this stuff. This is getting be a more and more common message on CBC.CA -- click on a story, go there, it processes for a few moments, then posts THAT! Chrome doesn't do it but I'm having pw issues with chrome and would much rather stick with FF, so can this be fixed?! What's wrong, what's causing it? I'm using ad blockers but they don't seem to be the problem and I'm at my wits' end. I have no patience for this kind of bullshit, especially when everything always worked before this started happening. Typically it's about five stories out of the twenty-five or so offerings on the page but I'm sick of messing around with it, having to close the tab, go to something else and hope IT doesn't break! Is there a fix? I don't don't know to diagnose this stuff; I'm not a geek, I'm a user. I have SOME skills but not this. Is this FF or is this CBC?!

Try it: website is cbc,ca , just click on some stories and see if they hold. If they do for you then it's my FF.

I am desperately trying to import a contact book into TB. In CSV format. All I get get is 100's of unreadable records. My version of TB is 115.4.3 (latest). The import tool provides no info whatsoever about the CSV format. I found a bit of info about the format on Mozilla. I only need a few fields for the record. First Name, Last Name, Home Email, Work Email. These are supposed to be field numbers 1,2,5,6. I made a CSV file according to this, but import is as said impossible. Has anyone had any luck with this? regards /peter

I am running out of space in my email account. Is it possible to export specific folders of emails out, so that I can delete those folders (and the emails in them) to make some space. I don't want to do a full export out, just those specific folders, so that if I ever need to refer back to those emails, I can import just those back in.

Is this something that can be done?

I tried the recommendations of "david" a Top 10 Contributor, in his post 3/3/2022 04:08, but none of the three choices which I accessed via Tools > Settings > Reading & Display got rid of the extra tabs. Anyone else have a fix for this? It just started a couple of weeks ago. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can render! David

The folder pane, message list pane, and message pane are separated by lines 1 pixel wide. Is there a way to make the lines thicker, perhaps editing the chrome/userChrome.css file?

I keep getting notifications that I need to purchase antivirus McAvee and that I have several virus that need to be taken care of. My McAvee account I did not renew this year nor do I desire to at anytime in the near future. I want to know why Firefox keeps sending me messages to purchase it. I would appreciate an answer so I know that my options are. Thanks you.
