When playing a youtube video, I can hear the audio playing and see the time passing on but the on screen video is just stuck even when buffered full clip. I check on chrome browser, this doesnt happen there. Reset firefox, the issue is still here

Is there a simple method to turn off the annoying popup notifications about upgrading Firefox? I don't want to upgrade, FF seems to be working fine. Sometimes updates bring new problems.

I'm not a programmer, so I'm hoping there is a simple fix to stop update notices. I think it was a bad idea to have them appear in front of other websites. They often popup when I'm watching something on Netflix.

Both Firefox (110.0.1 running as Flatpak) and KDE Settings indicate that Firefox is my default browser (in Ubuntu Studio 22.04 LTS). Nonetheless, when I click on a hyperlink in a mail in Thunderbird, the link opens in Chromium. I've recently migrated from POP3 to IMAP on my AT&T account, which uses sbcglobal.net in the Yahoo domain. I set up my outgoing server to be smtp.mail.yahoo.com through port 465 using SSL/TLS connection security and Oauth2 authentication, all unber Win10.

When i try to send an email, I see what looks like a browser window open up with the title "Enter credentials for my_email@sbcglobal.net on smtp.mail.yahoo.com. This window remains open only a few seconds with the a URL of

The windows them closes. If I wait long enough or cancel the send operation I see a popup that says

Send Message Error "Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.mail.yahoo.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'."

My default browser is chrome and I assume a Chrome window gets opened directed towards that URL. If I open a browser window and enter the above URL, I see "This site can’t be reached localhost refused to connect" from either Chrome of Firefox. I am absolutely certain my password is correct, so what am I doing wrong?

Hi,

It seems that I deleted a folder from Thunderbird by mistake somehow while clicking on it with the mouse, it moved and disappeared. In the activity manager it says folder deleted!

I cannot find the folder in the trash or deleted folders or anywhere else. However, whenever I search in the global search for emails that are in that folder, the folder appears under the list of folders on the left, but when I click on the messages they don't open as if the folder doesn't exist.

Please advise how to find that folder and recover. I'm using IMAP - Office365.

HI Anyone Have found this problem and was alerted by My Community Voice Kent who noted their alerts were not being delivered. I tthen did tests from two other emails accounts and these tests failed to deliver. Any help will be appreciated but sadly not via my email.

My thunderbird program has suddenly started to display the mail from only one of my four accounts. The accounts can be seen flashing behind the default on startup but I cannot find a way to display them as they were before and as they work on other machines I have. This is a toshiba laptop which has worked perfectly with thunderbird till now.

On 14 February, Ionos advised me I would be unable to download emails from their server after 25 April unless the email program supported TLS1.2 or higher and they said Thunderbird version 52.00 supported TLS1.2 or higher.

2. I have 2 PCs with Windows XP SP3 and 1 laptop with Windows Vista. Ionos say the only email program I will be able to use after 25 April using the latter 3 devices to download emails from their server is Thunderbird version 52.00.

3. Is there now any means by which one may install Thunderbird version 52.00 onto a PC with Windows XP SP3 or, alternatively, a laptop with Windows Vista?

When I receive calendar invites from other users, generally on Outlook, they appear in the body of the email. This means I have no means of saving them as .ics file to import into my Google calendar and have to create my own entry, often losing important information. I therefore have to resort to logging onto my bt email account on the browser where I can get the file in its correct .ics format and save it from there to import to Google.

How do I fix this and get the invite to appear in Thunderbird email as an attachment?

I've just installed Thunderbird, which happily downloaded the last couple years worth of messages... and then stopped. I can't get it to pick up the rest, even though there's another fifteen years of email that I'd like to preserve on this computer. I tried repairing the folder: it flickers through the existing emails for a while, and maybe stretches the stop date another month or two back, but otherwise doesn't change anything.

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions! I'm truly just using this as a backup for my emails (I continue to read and send within the browser), so it's important to me to get it all here.

Hello everyone, I encountered a specific problem when adding a second mail account to Thunderbird on Win10. Maybe someone has a solution for this: On a windows 10 machine I have one account setup in thunderbird on a IMAP server we will call mail.example.com with the account name acc1@example.com. Now I wanted to add a second mail account acc2@example.com using the same IMAP server but with different login credentials.

But thunderbird complains that the server already exists and doesn't let me create the 2nd account. Is it not possible to have multiple accounts on the same server using different login/password on Windows? I read somewhere on reddit that users under linux don't seem to have that problem.
