Hi, I can't read some DRM protected media anymore (Prime video, Spotify) in Firefox in Windows10.

The error I get say that firefox doesn't have Widevine installed (but it does).

I can read the content with other browsers (Brave) so the problem is not Windows Media Foundation i guess?

What I already tried:

-untoggling/toggling Widevine in plugins

-reinstalling firefox and using a new profile

-using Firefox Nightly

-removing the drm folder from the profile and relaunching firefox

FF has been the browser of choice for me for years. Word Press has been the weblog platform of choice for almost as long. Recently, however, FF won't accept embedded links in new posts.

If I try to create an embedded link, the link text box flickers and won't allow the text for the link to be inserted.

At the suggestion of WP, I cleared the FF cache - to no effect.

I decided to try posting through another browser, Chrome. It worked fine.

Chrome could be a workaround for this, but I'd much prefer to use FF.

Any ideas?

PS I use Windows 11, latest upgrade, and the latest version of FF

Facebook will not load on my Macbook pro anymore.

I've been using Facebook on my Mac for many years, no problems.

About 2 months ago, it stopped loading: "Gah, your tab crashed."

I went through all the self-help tips, clearing add-ons etc, clearing cache, making sure Firefox and IOS are up to date, etc., nothing works.

I've now migrated to Safari but miss Firefox.

I have noticed that my mouse becomes unresponsive exclusively when clicking Browser items in Firefox 124.0.2 (64-bit) on Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1

usually everything is fine for a while, then after a small working period I can still hover over items in Firefox but any click action (right or left) is ignored by Firefox or pages in Firefox.

At the same time clicking in other apps is still working fine.

When restarting firefox the functionality often re-occurs and works again for a certain time.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64-bit). I was able to send messages until just recently. Now when I send a message, it just hangs - no error message or anything (these are very short messages). I am able to receive messages just fine and send a message through webmail at cox.net

Please find attached a screenshot of my account settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I am trying to setup Thunderbird to work with my company Exchange account (have installed TBsync and provider for exchange tbsync). It works well but Thunderbird has created on the server sent/trash/archive/drafts folders instead of using the ones that exists, and thus I can't access my history when I am in Thunderbird.

Is there anyway to parameter this? I couldn't find any, there are only options to store in local or on the folder created by Thunderbird (see picture). Thanks in advance for your answers!

Hi, I have a nextcloud setup at home on my internal network. Whenever I am away from that network, Thunderbird bombards me with error messages because it cannot sync a specific calendar (An error occurred when writing to the calendar Contact birthdays! Please see below for more information.) This is the first calendar on the list of calendars so I think it just happens to be that one that causes the error. What I would like to do is have Thunderbird detect that it isn't on my home wifi and not sync the calendars. Is this possible? Thanks!

Hello. I receive messages, read them and then they disappear. I've been using TB for a long time, but there's a transition from IMAP to POP3, and it's been a mess since then. I DON'T WANT "pop3" :( I want IMAP :( I read opinions where people suggested deleting the .msf folder. I deleted + uninstalled TB. I installed it again, provided data for incoming and outgoing mail. They still disappear :( But I have messages from February in the SENT folder. Messages sent now also disappear. Why?

Using the latest updated version on Windows 11. For some reason, selecting Read Receipt does not currently have any effect! P I don’t often need to use it but when I do, it’s frustrating to learn that it no longer functions. I know I can opt to make it ‘global’ but don’t really want to. All/any help gratefully received. Actually my problem was solved. It came from the fact that following a maintenance intervention on the servers of the https site where my account was located, and access to which was blocked by Mozilla, the automatic updating of certificates had not worked. Which the site technicians resolved following a request I sent to them.

Thunderbird continues to lose my password for incoming and outgoing mail. Occasionally it works, but I keep getting messages that my password doesn't work / enter new password. When I go to passwords, it does not show the incoming or outgoing servers so I can make sure my password is there. I use Xfinity for my email. It was suggested earlier that it is an Xfinity problem. My Thunderbird email is essentially unuseable. I need it to work!
