Just before protection against ads expired, the icon's "X" went black. Now that I've renewed, it has not changed the "X" on the shield to white indicating renewal.

Running on Windows 10. Got message that new version was available and clicked download download. Exited Firefox. A few minutes later, I clicked the Firefox icon in the menu. I got a full screen gray box with a few shadow lines that would probably be menu bars. No images showing. Repeatedly get "Firefox is not responding" with close Firefox or wait. I click wait and nothing happens. It has a spinning progress icon but no activity. Task manager shows 0% CPU, Disk and network, and 10.1MB Memory. I rebooted the computer and get the same result when restarting Firefox. I suspect a bad image was downloaded that corrupted Firefox and I don't know how to recover. I hope to be able to access the tabs I had open before the update. Any suggestions? Thanks Richard Flowers

Search on Sainsburys website returns wrong products. All other websites work OK. Search using Chrome works OK. Sainsburys said they would fix but have not. Any ideas?

So I had to reset my PC last week , and hoped that the sync was running as expected to recover my bookmark and saved websites data , and no luck !

how can I get back my data !!! , I read all across the fourm and I haven't seen any direct answer to this sync issue!! can you please help in this!

Why am I locked out. I play every day and today I can't get through and Google said it might be a Cookies issue. Need help please. Not very savy re. Cookies. I am a Senior.

All my passwords and sites and user name just sit there. I have to enter them manually. Screen says TURN ON FIREFOX, I WOULD LOVE TO turn it on but how?

I, like every other US American I know, need my week to start on Monday and keep the weekend together (who wants their weekends split into two different weeks?) To do this I've had to select UK English as my language in Firefox and OS. Unfortunately, this also changes currency to pounds sterling. How can I get Monday start with USD? I especially need this on my Android work tablet.

I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this? Hoping someone can help, I'm setting up my Gmail account and have copied all the settings over exactly from my old laptop and have generated a new 'app password' in Gmail. Thunderbird pops up a Google login page then it is saying it can't connect to the server. Everything is working fine on my old laptop with configuration exactly the same (except for the use of older but still active app password).

I don't think Google allows me to see my old app password, only generate a new one, but as the new one won't work I'm thinking that maybe Google somehow knows I'm using POP email on two machines and won't allow this until I delete the old app password. Does anyone have experience of this? Just don't want to delete the password in case it stops working on both laptops! Also note that I don't want to disable 2 step authentication as this makes my account less secure and it has been working fine for years with this enabled.

I use version 102.8.0 on two Win11 laptops. Since 06/03/2023 the Sent folder for my Gmail account has disappeared from both laptops.

When I look under "subscribe" only the Inbox is shown.

I'm not sure when the folder disappeared but it can't have been more than a day or two before 06/03/2023.

I've tried unchecking "place a copy" but this makes no difference.

I don't use extensions.

The fact that it affects two different laptops suggests to me that it is a problem with the way Thunderbird interfaces with Gmail.

Has anyone else encountered and solve a problem like this?

I was trying to log into Firefox on a new computer and couldn't remember the password, so I reset it. Later, I found my original password stored on a different computer. Is there a way to log into my old account on the new computer? It seems to only recognize the new password, and there are no bookmarks, etc. saved. I tried reinstalling Firefox and that didn't work - it recognized that it had been installed before and would only accept my new password.

I’ll make this as brief as possible, so here goes. When I was working I had Firefox on my computer, my iPhone and my iPad and all three were synced together. Now that I no longer work I don’t have access to the computer any longer. Only my iPhone and iPad. Up until a few weeks ago that was fine. Both of them were still synced. Then, for reasons completely unknown, the one on the iPad became problematic. So, without giving it much thought I, installed a brand new one on the iPad. It told me to set up a login for that one which, I did , again without giving it much thought. Then, when I hit sync, nothing. And I believe that’s where the problem lies. I sat down with the iPad on one side and the iPhone on the other and went through every setting I could find. The only difference I could see was with the account names. The one on the iPhone is “overworked” which I believe was originally on all three. But when I set up the new one on the iPad, once again not giving it enough thought, I used my email address which is “gregcocks193@gmail.com.” So my belief is that the difference in the account names is why one can’t find the other. But, what to do? I don’t want to just experiment because if I do it wrong I could potentially lose the ones on the iPhone, which is the only one left that has all my bookmarks and logins, and if I lose them, they are gone forever. So I’m hoping you can tell me what to do. If I need to change one of the account names, which one? How do I do it. Or is there another way to sync them together, without changing either of the names. I really don’t know. But since I only have one shot at getting it right I’m not going to do anything until I hear back from you. I have always used Firefox and nothing else, going all the way back to ver. 17 on the computer, and I don’t want to change. So now that you know my dilemma, I hope you can help. People ask me why I don’t use Google because it’s the #1 browser, and my answer is always the same. Just because their name is plastered everywhere doesn’t make their browser better. In fact, I think their mobile browser is horrible. So please give me some advice on what to do so I can continue using Firefox.

My version of Thunderbird is 102.0.3(64-bit). It will not update. i keep getting a message that it is not able to download the update and need to download a new version for the update. Can any one help me. Thanks
