How do i keep my work computer browser seperate from my home browser account???

Somehow out of the blue my home firefox account became my work firefox account? All my work shortcuts or bookmarks appeared at my home but i dont want them.

Hello, I checked my RAM and has no problems, but my Firefox crashes every time, with every tab.

I am getting an "access denied" when I try to use online banking. The bank said it may be an extension issue. They suggest I use another search engine such as Edge or Chrome. Both offer too much "bloatware" for me.

I really would like to find a way to continue using Firefox.

Starting maybe 2 months ago, when making online purchases, I could not enter a credit card number into the box to make a payment. (Name, address, etc is okay.) The cursor would not "register," & the box would be greyed out. I'm running Windows 11 Pro, Firefox 129.0.2. It's not my antivirus, because I can go to Microsoft's browser (ugh), & make my purchases. Ideas? Thanks!

I have disabled sponsored shortcuts in Firefox settings, and did this when I first set up my browser.

Today when launching my browser the first link in my shortcuts was to @Google which I specifically do not use. I do not use google search. I do not want google search. I do not want cookies or content from google.

Why was this sponsored shortcut pushed to my browser after I disabled sponsored shortcuts?

I have all of my settings appropriately set according to all recommendations and instructions. When my Firefox opened it had a notice that it had updated. However, when it opened ALL of my previously opened tabs were gone. I need them ALL restored since I am a business owner and masters student and rely on them being readily available.

previous tabs not opening on initial boot up - I have it check for that to happen, but only a single tab opens when I boot up computer. I can find the last session in "Recently Closed Windows"

I not really sure what is going on but about 2 days ago I started having an issue where I have no sound within Firefox. I have tried using youtube, ign, other video sites etc. This affects my primary speakers which are set as my default audio device. When I use my headphones, I do have sound.

When I use any other application whether it is steam and the advertisements built into it for game trailers etc, GoG and i'm running a game, running another third party app for games, I have sound on all devices with no issues.

I have checked to see if my settings are mirrored for each device and cannot find any differences. When running youtube in Microsoft Edge and Firefox, my settings are the same but only Edge gets sound. I have tried doing all of this with and without addons installed for Firefox. I have also disabled VPN, tried PC restarts and a fresh install of Firefox.

While reading a PDF using Firefox PDF Viewer, I highlighted certain passages occasionally saving (using the print icon) for future retrieval. Later when I did re-open the file, none of my highlighting was visible. I have tried alternative browsers, various PDF readers, etc. without luck. I really do need that highlighting. Thank you

Hello, This is on Win 11, always latest updates to win and FF.

For at least the past 9 months saving anything (web pages, files, etc.) is incredibly slow. I have filed bug reports but nothing back. After starting the save the wheel rotates for 1-2 minutes before finally waking up and saving. FF is completely frozen until its done.

On a second win 11 box, the download are fast but flagged as download failed but the file was actually downloaded

Anyone know anything about this? Like why or how to fix it.

I'm switching to Chrome until this is resolved but I hate Chrome so I hope it will not be a long wait.

Somebody better answer me as I am about to switch my default browser from Firefox to something else. I have already asked this question but never received any response. For a long time now I keep running across sites that do not work on Firefox. It can be a streaming site such as Paramount+ or it could be my phone service site Ting. In all of the cases and there have been quite a few I am always able to find another browser the sites will work on. 9 times out of 10 they will work on Chrome but I have found at least one that does not work there but will work on Edge. So, right now Edge is the prime candidate to switch to. I do not want to quit as it would be a pain in the ass as I have been a loyal user for at least 15 years and have stuck with you as I believe in what you are doing and represent but it is becoming to much of a pain to continue using you because I like the convenience of using only 1 browser 99% of the time. When trying to use one particular website on Firefox, I get a message that I am blocked because of an ad blocker but I have not turned on any ad blocker in Firefox. How do I find out if an ad blocker is enabled on my Firefox and, if so, how do I turn it off? I have ensured that the ad blocker option in settings is unchecked and even added this web site to permissions but to no avail. Can someone help? Here is the message I get but none of the steps in this message I am told to take show up on my screen:

Adblock Plus Instructions

   Click the AdBlock Plus icon in the extension bar.
   Beneath “Block ads on”, click the large blue toggle next to “This website”.
   Click refresh.

I would like Firefox to save my usernames for sites, but not the passwords. However, Firefox insists that I supply a password before it will save the account details, and if I supply a dummy password, then it will not let me later edit the account and delete the password. I like to remember my own passwords rather than store them anywhere.

I have tried password managers and they are overbearingly controlling, particularly given that they don't store my passwords let alone my 2FA details, so I'd rather just use Firefox's less onerous, built-in system, if only it would allow me to save an account without a password. Surely saving a username without a password is a safe option, so why block it?
