Why does attempt at loading a UK Government web page (https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/) produce a "Secure connectionn failed - Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR" message?

I managed to load the same web page by using Chrome.

Firefox freezes intermittently, and when I examine the situation with Windows' Task Manager, I see a large number of Firefox threads active while I have only two tabs in use, and memory usage running rapidly up to the 50-70% range (I have 16 GB). While I'm not qualified, it seems there may be a memory leak issue. The situation clears itself after a just few or a few tens of seconds, but then may recur within a minute or so. This started a few weeks ago, now happens almost daily and is making Firefox, my preferred browser, somewhat unusable.

Ever sense the last update when I try to log into quicken online or ga lottery online the user login page just siting there with the spinning blue circle and finally times out. This continues to happen even after clearing browser history. I tried to login to those same sites using another browser (Microsoft Edge) and they worked just fine with no issues.

Mircosoft has indicated that after Sept. 16 it is not possible to access my e mail account on outlook. They require a more modern/sophisticated method of authorization, login and password is not enough. What to do?

Firefox is set to the English (UK) language on my Windows 10 PC but I occasionally see Spanish words shown after the English word. Eg. BBC News provides trusted World and UK noticias news as well as local and regional … The word (in this case "noticias" ) appears with a faint, light blue background. Here's another example "BBC Business brings you the latest in Business news and cobertura from … Again word (in this case "cobertura" ) appears with a faint, light blue background. I've tried all the settings that I can find in Firefox and everything is set to UK English.

I'm really shocked that the developers at Firefox has not at all fixed the memory leak issue, which caused my PC to crash three times in a row. This is clearly unacceptable; even other browsers I use don't eat up a lot of RAM in a matter of seconds that ends up my PC lagging, or worse, crashing as a result. To the Firefox devs; why are you overlooking an ongoing issue that should've been easily fixed from the get-go, especially with updates that obviously have nothing to do with the memory leak issue? It's really easy to make such a popular browser not hog up memory so easily without causing so much lag, even on higher end PCs.

If the memory leak issue isn't fully resolved by greatly reducing memory usage, especially if I'm only using one or two tabs with me, I will have to consider seeking for another working browser that does not have a memory leak issue, and remove Firefox and never reinstall it altogether.

I have my email account set up on my phone (Android) and on Thunderbird. Both are set up the same way receiving emails via POP Mail server. Messages are left on the server until I delete them. Certain messages appear on my phone but never appear in Thunderbird. I do not have any spam filters set up on Thunderbird. Junk settings are set such that messages from people in my personal address book are not treated as junk, and yet they are also amongst those that do not appear. Junk messages, in any case, are not moved from my mail folder.

Furthermore if I try to forward the missing messages from my phone (where they appear) to myself again, they will still not appear in Thunderbird.

Why cannot I not see those (missing) messages?

I just got a new computer and I installed thunderbird so I can access my work email that I set up with thunderbird. I'm having trouble signing in to the business account I use for work.

Sync or import from 1 PC to another with different versions of Thunderbird. What version do I need? Does it work? Is there a way to backup the messages and addresses on an external disk to access later?

I've been browsing the web looking for a way to access the browser's current profile name programmatically. I'm writing a little browser extension that should run code conditionally depending on what the current profile is. I'm wondering if there's any way to do this? The closest thing I found was runtime.getBrowserInfo() runtime.getBrowserInfo().

Lately I have been having trouble signing into websites, including the website I administer. When trying to put in my user name or password, I get a message saying: Something's gone wrong. Please try again later." I do try later, and the same thing happens. However, I have no trouble signing into these sites on Opera.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

google apps block pops up in upper right corner of gmail each time I change focus without selecting it

I have cleared cache and history. Still pops up. This happened after the last update to Firefox.

Firefox is adding empty lines to the css file in web developer like so:

 z-index: 3;

}

Those empty lines are not in the css file and so it is reporting the wrong line numbers. So hard to find the correct line in the actual file.

I want to link my Firefox Account between my iPhone X Device and my Dell Laptop. I need to know how to do that in detail.

Note: I tried opening the menu and clicking sync and save, but I couldn’t see it on the menu, the same thing happened when I looked, as advised, when looking for Ready to scan; I couldn’t see it on the menu !

Kindly explain what should I do in clear step by step detail, as pertaining to these two devices which I am trying to link.
