My correspondents keep getting shuffled and applied to the wrong subject line in the inbox. It was suggested that I right-click on the folder, select "properties" and then "repair." That clears it up, but only for a matter of hours. Plus, any emails that I have open get closed and then I have to find them again.

One person who suggested that I right-click the folder and repair it said if that didn't work, there was a more technical fix. I need it!

When I open my Inbox on Thunderbird for Android, the notifications are still displayed even after I close out of the app. So I have to always go back and manually swipe away all the notifications.

I select multiple messages to delete, and it doesn't delete all of them. I have to go back and select again to delete the remaining messages. Sometimes more than once.

Okay. So, I changed my email password on my email server, HIS.COM (Heller Information Services, a local email server company in Bethesda, MD.) I am able to access my email on webmail, (which I hate to use), on both my laptop and on my desktop. Yesterday, I could access it on my desktop, but not my laptop. Just now, I was trying to uninstall and install Thunderbird on my laptop and it would keep just rebooting my old non-working program. Then, the worst possible thing happened. By screwing around on my laptop program, I somehow knocked out my desktop Thunderbird, and it no longer works. I am happy to pay for help. I just made a donation. I need someone to call me and walk me through this. I think I changed something that I cannot change back.

Now when i send it---it looks like this

I had just started utilising Folders. Today I wanted to move an important email where I could easily find it again. I created a new folder, went to the inbox, clicked on the email in question and moved it to the new folder.

Then I went to the new folder to check that it was there safely and it was and I shut down my laptop.

Later I got home to start work. I looked for the file and the folder was empty. I ran the search that I had run previously and it now returned nothing found. The email had vanished.

I moved some rubbish emails to the same folder, none of them arrived there, all have disappeared and are not to be found in the deleted folders either.

Really annoying and frankly a deal breaker for using this software going forward without a satisfactory solution.

I've tried setting up Thunderbird archiving according to the documentation to save archived messages locally, and in the same hierarchy they had when I archived them. That is, if I have:

INBOX

   Box1
   Box2

... etc. then archiving would create a parallel structure in Local Folders

However, this isn't working.

I select "Keep message archives in Other (Archives on Local Folders).

For "Archive Options" I select "A single folder", "Keep existing folder structure of archived messages" and "Recreate inbox folder".

However, when I archive something, Thunderbird just creates a folder "2026" (this year) and puts the message in there.

Why are my settings NOT working?

When bulk selecting and deleting, sometime columns don't match rows. eg: subject doesn't match correspondents (sometime additional random contacts are added to correct correspondant) and message panel may not match highlighted "subject" email.

Been using for years...love the product. But this is a new quirk. I have noticed, when I have done hundreds of bulk deletions, deleted messages will be added back in inbox??

Hello, I have selcted the option "Expunge" under Settings -> Server-Settings -> Message-Storage. The intention was to delete messages from the server of ma Email-Provider (GMX). Unintentionally however, the result was, that instead, the Messages have been deleted from my local computer. Can I recover them? They do not appear in the Recycle Bin.

I am using Version 149.0.2 (64-Bit) on a Windows Computer.

My computer crashed with mozilla open.

when i restarted it i opened up mozilla. I gave an error of unable to write to the email box. I'm not sure if it crashed or I exited out of it at that point. when i reopened it up no error but my primary email box was empty. Years worth of emails that included pictures and other important stuff.

Trash is still there, as are the archive section of the folder.... just everything in the inbox itself is gone.

It didn't throw an error upon reopening, and just downloaded emails from the pop server like normal, except now the fold only consists of the 6 new messages.

Is it just gone? or is there some way to recover it. No i don't back up the mozilla folders, so unless it does it in an automatic way i don't have a backup.

I already tried the fix folder in the properties and it did nothing, likely just seeing hte current 6 emails in the folder as all there was.

I need to automatically apply message filters on all messages when copied to a subfolder (in Local Folders) with other filters from other folders and accounts. I copy e-mails to specific subfolder placed in Local folders from several Inboxes. My filters for this subfolder work but only manually applied. The existing conditions when to apply filters do not cover copying messages (copying is not getting new mail or archiving etc) . When i apply filters manually they work but next time i apply manually again all messages are effected - filters does not work only ones as when getting new mail. Is there any way to create filters working automatically and ones applied on some message not to effect it again when filter applied again to this subfolder?
