About 3 years ago we were promised they would fix a major omission, the lack of icons for contacts in your inbox, which allows you to quickly scan your folders. It also makes it more interesting and colorful, now it's rather bland.

Everyone else seems to have this, why not here? Is it in the plans.

I'm just back after many years and after a lot of frustration with Airmail (their endless and intrusive solicitations!), and Mainspring and Spark (no option to disable threaded views--TB even does it better when you do select that option).

If they fix the icons and give the option to get a notification for read mail, like Mainspring does, they will rule the app world! Please fix at least the icons

I am running Thunderbird 137.0.2 on Manjaro Linux (KDE Edition). I access my emails via IMAP.

Fairly recently, I started to experience situations where, after some time of using Thunderbird, all my folders would suddenly show as empty, with the text "No message found". When switching to a different folder, the tab headline on the left will update, but the folder name on the main pane will stay the frozen.

I uploaded a screenshot.

I cannot see the emails in my folders until I close and restart Thunderbird. I can, however, open emails via the search (not quick filter) function.

I have disabled all add-ons, but this does not seem to have helped. I saw this in my logs, and wonder if it is related:

thunderbird[23874]: JavaScript error: resource:///modules/DBViewWrapper.sys.mjs, line 1677: TypeError: this._sort[0] is undefined

Any ideas what I can do?

Hello. I have windows 11 64 bit and thunderbird on my computer. For the last month I have not been able to send pictures pasted in emails. If I attach pictures it works fine. I have tried reinstalling Thunderbird, running the troubleshooter and searching everywhere on google but I can't find anyone with the same error. Do you have any tips on anything? Messages from some of the folders in Local Folders disappeared for no reason at all. The folder file and the .msf file though are not empty and if you edit them with a text editor you can see the messages. Also in the folder properties although the number of messages is 0 the folder size in not empty. Any ideas?

Mozilla Thunderbird has been working fine for 2 months, now keeps asking for passwords already saved in the manager.

Nothing changed in the settings relating to emails being sent and passwords.

All of the passwords are correct, and will work when re-entered, but everytime we go to send an email we need to re-enter a password that is already present in the password manager.

Ive tried deleting the database files as suggested in help from the past, but its still happening after rebuild.

Ive tried unistalling the program using the windows 10 add and remove programs, but the Thunderbird Setup 128.7.1esr does not delete all user information, so after i reinstall it just shows all of our email accounts, and is still asking for passwords...

I have the Mozilla Thunderbird installed in O:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird and not C:\, but the unistaller seems to have a problem removing everything, even after a restart.

Basic feedback... when a user wants to delete your program... just delete everything or ask them if they want to save there profiles.... bloody annoying, and i now can not resolve an issue that possibly needs a fresh Thurnderbird install.

This is a work PC, so i need to resolve this issue fast... or im leaving Thunderbird in my rear mirror like road kill.

I would like to deactivate my account, or maybe suspend it, because I still want to be able to see what is already there. I don't want to be able receive anymore emails.

I am facing the following problem. When I delete an email and it moves to the Trash folder, Thunderbird no longer displays inbox emails. Trash folder is displayed after archives folders. After restarting Thunderbird, it is restored again. I did an inbox folder repair, but it did not help. Then I deleted the Inbox.msf file and waited for the system to recreate it, but that did not help either. I also did compact folders ->general -> Disk space, but that did not help either. If I want to use the program, after each email moved to the trash, I have to restart Thunderbird. Please, I need help with solving this problem.

Need some help figuring out how to make the "Filter Rules" window smaller, or how to scroll it up so I can hit the "OK" button at the bottom. I have tried making the windows 11 display font smaller, but it has no effect on the filter window. There must be some simple work around for this that is just escaping me. Appreciate any suggestions or help...thanks DZ

My thunderbird has anemail account that stops receiving emails and syncing. I am at a loss to figure out why? If I remove the account and re-add it works for a while then does it again.

1. I'm running v 128.7.0esr, Windows 11, hardwired or wireless connection 2. I manage 8 email accounts in Tbird, ONE of the IMAP accounts started checking email on startup and I can't get it to stop. 3. I have all the Server Settings, specifically including "Check for new messages at startup" UNchecked

I checked the previous messages (and even Reddit...) but nothing I've tried works. The other accounts are unaffected.

Unless I'm not connected, it's a minor inconvenience but when I'm off line (like working on my laptop on a plane) it seems to "bog down" trying to connect and retrieve for that one account.

Suggestions about how to turn that off?

I had some problems with Thunderbird being non-responsive in downloading e-mails about 6 months ago but got it working where it asks me to enter a login and password. Now this feature no longer appears and Thunderbird is again non-responsive and doesn't download e-mails. When I click on Get Messages nothing happens. Is there an account setting that I need to change?

Thunderbird is sending the drafts it autosaves to the person I am emailing.

I know that thunderbird to Gmail connectivity is, well, very bad to say the least, however I have only found one post online about it, which led not to answers.
