I am trying to fetch incoming and outgoing sever of [mail.thehostelhotel.com] . The thunderbird is fetching https://thehostelhotel.com instead.

other emails are correctly fetching right server details.

I have tried to enter the right server details manually. however it does not connect.

please help.

Hi I recently changed over to Microsoft 11, my computer was installed and set up by Computer Help by a IT Consultant. My addresses are not like they use to be just come up names and addresses have disappeared which is frustrating. When opening the calendar on a Mac with an M processor, it takes a terribly long time for the ball to stop spinning, on a Mac with an Intel processor it works quickly and normally. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi, In the last hour FF has stopped working completely. I made the mistake of using Ccleaner, which is probably the problem, I haven't had issues cleaning before, though I usually check the registry before deleting and don't recall seeing any entry for Mozilla (I may be wrong, though).

Firefox was working fine a couple of hours ago, but now it won't open at all, except in admin mode and then it won't open any links or tabs, not even settings. I've uninstalled FF, deleted the folder in the Programs folder, and reinstalled it from scratch, but there is no change (the one difference is that it wouldn't open in Admin after before I reinstalled it). Waterfox doesn't open either, but Thunderbird seems to work with no problems.

When I open one tab on Firefox, my task manager shows multiple programs running along side it. I know some extra processes are needed but this seems like an unusual amount. I have included a screenshot of the tasks that appear. When I try to delete these, they reappear. I have tried various online solutions such as uninstalling and reinstalling, and checking various settings. It is affecting my computer's performance and I am not sure how to solve this. Thank you!

I was prompted to compact my inbox, and immediately lost all of my carefully curated tabbed emails. I rely on these to remind me of my work progress and obligations. Why do they drop off when I compact?

everything is excellent in thunderbird mobile except the white widget !we really need a dark one! look the attachment how ugly it looks compared with the rest of the widgets !

I have used Thunderbird for over fifteen years now. It used to support AdBlockPlus, not it doesn't. The UBlock Origin does NOT block ads like AdBlockPlus does. Why can't I add it on as an extension anymore? It is free software.

It would be nice to be able to link the Thunderbird and ALEXA calendars. I schedule appointments and events from emails and I have Alexa announce my daily schedule so bi-directional updates would be very handy.

I could not find a specific area to submit suggestions.

1. When I start Thunderbird, the first thing that comes up is the "misinformation" "No message found". Only some time later is the inbox with the new messages displayed. The initial "misinformation" is annoying.

2. When I open a message, I have to constantly click backwards until I get back to the inbox. Why is there no button for this?

Recently, the Firefox browser stopped working. Specifically for me, Costco's website, and Aetna. I believe the issue could be that those websites require that the location is confirmed, but no pop is generated, thus causing the website to not work with Firefox. Please help me, as your browser is the best.

Everytime I open an e-mail I get a blank page and I cannot see anything. I have uninstalled Thunderbird and re-installed it. I have disabled my anti-virus and anti-spam on thunderbird. There are no add-ons or anything in my thunderbird. I have no idea how to get rid of this. Anyone that can help?

When I run Thunderbird, it automatically downloads my new e-mails. Every time I launch the program, it gets stuck on the next to last e-mail (i.e.- the display shows 8 of 9) and hangs for several seconds, during which I can't use the program at all. Is there a fix for this? I turned off junk mail scanning.

I've used FF for years. The last year, it does not function correctly on about 20% of sites. I suggest focusing on making it compatible, rather than requiring sites that are perfectly coded. I may have to drop FF soon.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Thunderbird was auto-updated on my computer. Shortly after that, I tried to start the tax preparation program I use for preparing tax returns for my clients. I am a CPA and tax preparer. The tax prep program is called "ATX" and is a product sold by Wolters-Klewer (aka CCH), and is unrelated to Thunderbird. I can no longer access my ATX tax prep program.

When I try, I get this message: "The program has encountered an unexpected error and needs to close." I have tried multiple times, and get the same error message every time. I also get that message when I try to start ATX for previous tax years. I am sure it is the Thunderbird update that is causing this, as I have made no other changes to my computer, programs, hardware, or anything else. The ATX program worked just fine up until yesterday.

I badly need that ATX program. Please help ASAP. If someone wants to call me, my number is (775) 747-4666.

Finally, the error message I get when I try to start the ATX program has a link that says "Show details." When I click that, I get a long list of gobbledegook, but one line may be relevant here. It says: "Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it "

I have over fifty tax return to prepare before the extended deadline of October 15th, so I desperately need to be able to open my tax prep program. I am almost certain the Thunderbird update caused this, so please help fix this right away. Thank you.

Fix it. I use Google Calendar integration. When a calendar item pops up a notification, Thunderbird stops retrieving email until I acknowledge it. This is a nuisance when I'm away from my machine for any length of time and I rely on Thunderbird to process incoming emails.
