Hello:

I am unable to send email messages to any "@zianet.com" email accounts (New Mexico). I can receive Zianet email messages, but I cannot Send or Reply. Zianet says they recognize the Earthlink IP Address, but that there is a third sender's IP Address they don't recognize. Earthlink says they have given Zianet the IP addresses. Does Mozilla Thunderbird have a third IP Address I can share with Zianet Tech Support? Zianet's phone number here in Las Cruces, New Mexico is: 1.575.353.1234. This issue is causing a lot of problems for me and my business. Thank you so much.

I have installed Thunderbird as a first-time user on a new computer. I am able to receive emails but cannot send. I have the correct outgoing server settings and confirmed this with my ISP. They recommended that I check to see if my antivirus software is preventing from sending, so I uninstalled Firewall and it's still not sending. Can you assist in any other options that I should try to get emails to send?

MY email ISP is CenturyLink. I CAN use their WEB email site, so I know the password works. My old email had a Q.COM suffix, but CenturyLink recently said that they are abandoning that domain and that I now have to use MYCTL.NET as a suffix. I changed that in TB and now TB Fails to sign in! I have looked and looked at the TB config and still it doesn't work. Using POP for incoming email, have the correct POP server name, PORT and Encryption (SSL/TLS). I CAN ping pop.centurylink.net ....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Since setting up Yahoo email on TB using POP3 setting, I noticed that while all my Inbox messages remain when downloaded on my PC, the Sent messages are being gradually deleted to leave only the most recent (currently) 11 messages, like it is if I log in online to Yahoo webmail. Does this mean I need to configure it to IMAP as well to make sure nothing is deleted once downloaded to TB on my PC?

I've used Thunderbird for over a decade with the same email address and log in info. My email address is [edited]@pacbell.net. I receive email regularly, but starting about 3 weeks ago, outgoing email actually gets sent only about 30% of the time I hit the send button, and the rest of the time I get the following message:

"Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) outbound.att.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

After I try several more times, I can usually get the email to go through.

What can be done to fix this?

I successfully installed Thunderbird version 146.01 in November 2025 and successfully completed the connection to my email server Comcast.net. With all folders downloaded I proceeded to receive and send emails without any issues until around December 17 2025 when Thunderbird stopped receiving or sending emails. I performed all the steps listed without success, When I test the connection in settings I get the following: "Successfully established a secure connection to imap.comcast.net:995." Yet I get no emails

I see a Thunderbird update came in around December 17 2025, maybe a coincidence? Thank you Ed

Hi, I have 3 gmail addresses and 1 hotmail address working in my Thunderbird.

It seems that when I right click on a file, a .PDF for example, and select send to mail recipient, Thunderbird usually opens the first email account in Thunderbird, maybe the default email address - I don't know. Whatever.

In most circumstances the senders address is usually NOT the account I wish to send the attachment from so I change the senders (my) address to the name/account in the headers that I want to send the email & attachment from. Perhaps the last account my cursor was sitting at...

When that email is answered, it comes back to me by the first email address in my list. It DOES NOT return to the senders address. The sent (by me) copy goes into the "Sent" folder from the correct address.

This gives the receiver an email address I don't want them to have.

Please help me vix this problem.

btw, I am running Windows 11 Professional with most of the Microslush removed.

Emails now showing up from 9am when its now noon , other emails show up on time

I just started having a issue where it will be for example noon , and I just get a email , that is not on top but down the list and it says 9am , or similar times where it is 1 or more hours later from the time on the email , but it just showed up , but its down on the list of recent emails , so for example I check emails and a few come in or I get a notice that I have a new email

I have Thunderbird minimized in the taskbar , I never close it , and it will show a email from a few hours ago that just came in , but its below emails that I have already read that were after that time , so basically its like some emails just randomly appear that didn't get delivered when they were supposed to along with the others at that time , this is not a 1 time thing , this has happend several times over the last few days

I can't find any Setting that allows me to choose Newest Emails on Top , or to check the Time to see if it thinks its a different time of day than it is when delivering , or to bring in emails in order of delivery time , newest first and so on , so if a email has a Delivery time of 9:38 am I actually recieve it at 9:38 am , for example I got a email showing the time at 12:48 PM as delivered (10 minutes ago , but I just got the email now at 12:58 am) , then I got one time stamped at 11:15am , and 11:13 am , and at 9:38 am , , the 9:38 am email came AFTER I got the 11:15 email by about 30 minutes , and the one I just now got (it was 12:58pm when I got it , but it shows a time of 12:48 pm so 10 minutes difference from the time it shows delivered to the time I actually got it) , this is while my email is open and I am looking at emails ..... Email Version .. 147.0 ..

HI, Thunderbird for Mac no longer allows me to see emails more than 4 months old. I have an AOL account and when I use the (lousy) AOL app I can see email going back at least a decade, so I know they are there.

This changed with a recent TBird update. I have checked online support, studied the different settings, and cannot find out how to set TBird to let me access all my email.

Can someone help me with this?

Even though I have the "Don't delete messages from the server" setting, my messages aren't synchronized between my phone and computer. Since last night my emails in 3 accounts won't send in thunderbird. I get the following message

the message could note be sent because connecting to the outgoing server SMTP mail.optusnet.com.au failed. The server maybe unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your outgoing server (SMTP) is correct and try again.

The provider Optus has confirmed it doesn't have any issues.

Is there a problem with this with Windows 11 which i have just downloaded 5 days ago?

Does anyone have any suggestions?
