Title: Please Add Native Background Play for YouTube, Facebook & All Video Platforms

Hi Firefox Android team,

One feature request that would make Firefox Android truly unbeatable:

Built-in Background Play — for all platforms.

Currently, to play YouTube or Facebook videos in the background, users have to manually switch to Desktop Mode, which is a frustrating and confusing workaround. Most users don't even know this trick exists.

Please make background play a native, one-tap feature that works automatically on any video platform — YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and beyond — without requiring Desktop Mode or any workaround.

Brave is already competing for YouTube users. Firefox can win them all by being the only mobile browser that plays any video in the background, natively and effortlessly.

This single feature would bring thousands of users away from premium subscriptions. YouTube Premium's biggest selling point is background play. Firefox can offer that for free, for every platform, to every user.

That is a massive opportunity. Please take it.

I was receiving Directv content on Mozilla Firefox for months without issue. Suddenly it stopped completely and left a message "We couldn't play this content at this time". I don't understand why this happened or how to fix it. I want to do all my browsing with Mozilla Firefox so I need help. It would be truly excellent if I could speak to a human about this issue. Please.

Greetings! I've been a Firefox evangelist for a long time! I'm having issue with my Dell Precision 5530 pushing Firefox audio to a Bluetooth speaker connected to PC. Others browsers work fine, however FF wants to use the speakers on my monitor, connected via HDMI. I've tried to change several times, however FF does not want to use the BT.

Can you please help?

HP INTEL LAPtop: Windows 11 Fails two sequential video mp4 links using basic html Video code

Works in iphone firefox,safari,opera,PC Edge but NOT PC firefox.

1st link good 2nd fails ERROR MSG no video with supported format and mime type found. Also had same problem in Windows 10 last year. This on an HTML 4.01 we site.

Today my Facebook has no sound. My laptop has sound. Youtube has sound, NBC has sound, Amazon Music has sound, NPR has sound, it's just Facebook that is WITHOUT SOUND. So that is why I am wondering, does Firefox/Mozilla have sound settings that I might access to fix something like this?

I have already tried rebooting the laptop. Rebooting the browser. Rebooting Facebook. Thank you in advance for whatever help you might offer, Pamela

The sound works for me on Opera (PC Win11), but not on Mozilla - I see it as a bug in the browser... even after clicking on the playback device in the bottom right corner in Mozilla, the sound doesn't start playing...

I cannot get audio to play on the browser. I've gone into settings and the default says that audio should be on for all websites. However, Youtube, facebook, instagram, etc., won't play audio. Audio plays on other browsers (Chrome, Edge). what must I do to get audio working?
