I was recently asked for my email account password after many years. I have no idea what it is after all this time so I reset my password. I received an email from you accepting the new password. I still cannot login since it will not accept the new password. Who knows what the old one was. I initially tried to recover the old one but no luck doing that. Help!.

I was able to log in/on to Mozilla Support but when I tried to sync - update it would NOT accept the password, even though I was able to log in - on.

Am at an impasse. I can, if I could get to them, answer the security questions!

I forgot and can't find my primary password. I can't reset and remove it unless I know it. I uninstalled the program, paid a contribution, reinstalled and still cannot reset, remove old, or make new password. Can't get into to send emails, but can see and read files.

I need to reset my primary password but previous advice on the topic is confusing. One responds recommends deleting the key4.db file but I am concerned about deleting a file which caries a message that doing sop may impact on the operation of the program. Can someone give me a clear response of what I need to do. Cheers David

Can no longer access AOL.mail account today via Thunderbird since cum update of Windows 10 yesterday. Also cant access same via Samng mail app on phone. Should I change my email password? Would that fix? Any ideas on what to do

We have bought a new computer so we have Windows 11.

We downloaded Thunderbird and tried to sign in to allow us to use our Email 

judy.parnell@bigpond.com on it. It asked us for my full name and password and kept saying we had it wrong. We have forgotten which password we used and who's name we used. The email is for both of us. Can you provide us with our name and password we used so we can install it on the new computer or if not tell us how we can install it without the name and password. My primary password is not being accepted. Is there any way to create a new one? I have the instructions Reset your Primary Password if you have forgotten it. I do not understand how to copy text and paste y the Console

How can I reset the Master Password for Thunderbird if I never (knowingly) set one?????

I set up Thunderbird a few nights ago and accessed my att.net, gmail.com and icloud accounts with Thunderbird.

Then, tonight, when I tried to access my emails, I get stymied by needing a password for Thunderbird which I am pretty sure I never set up.....

Now, I can't access email on Thunderbird..... FRUSTRATING!!!!

How can I reset my passwords if I can't get into Thunderbird's Master Password list??????

I cannot log in to Thunderbird because I don't remember my password. I'm having a problem changing my password, not getting any options, no screens to replace it.

A few days ago I changed my password on my account but I forgot to write it down. Now I tried to change it again but it doesn't remember the current password, resulting in it asking me to enter the 32-character password, but unfortunately I don't have that either. What's happened here. I cannot check my e-mails without changing my Password. Accept no matter what password I put in it rejects it. I have a backlog of about 600 e-mails. I recently changed my password with the phone company. Is that the one I should be using?
