I believe this is simple yet must have on a good browser. History section should be able to show date/timestamp. I'm very surprised it hasnt been available for some time.

I'm trying to use the Firefox ADMX GPO files wtih a Windows 2012 R2 domain controller. The GPO's are applied on my test system. I checked it with gpresult. But no rule are affected on Firefox. If I use "about:policies" the message is:

"Der Dienst für Unternehmensrichtlinien ist inaktiv." (The service for company guidelines is inactive.)

Version 78.9.0esr (64-Bit)

What is my mistake?

Dear fellow users of Thunderbird,

Although it is a quite old function in Thunderbird, I just discovered the Chat function. On first side of using it and after looking through the forum and help articles, I have some questions:

1) Is it correct that Thunderbird loads only the conversations that are new and active? 2) Are there plans to turn this into a full XMPP chat app? 3) Are there plans to add to chat as well over the IMAP, Like Delta does? 4) Are there plans to update the chat info to more recent version with extended functions?

Hi. I'm getting ready to update my Message Filters. They don't always work right. Seeing "how" they're set up will help me modify them properly. Using C:\Users\dcal1\Desktop\DT Data\Desktop Dell\Email Backup\imap.gmail-1.com\msgFilterRules.dat seems right.

I tried to find a tutorial with no luck.

Is there a size limit?

Anything else I should know?

Any questions for me?

Is there a means to have "junk %" column option to choose from that would display a numerical junk score?

I was a big fan of the add-on junquilla that had this feature as well as a few more options that allowed you to set the "junk threshold", "maximum token count" and would display "current token count", "good messages trained", "junk messages trained". It also added an "uncertain" folder where Thunderbird displays emails whose junk status is uncertain, and were good candidates to train.

Are there any plans to incorporate some of the features of junquilla without having to poke around in "config" to view and change them? It would be nice to have easy access to more junk options.

Missing the minimize, maximize and restore option when right clicking at the top on the window. I have tried opening firefox in safe mode but still it is giving the same options. Can anyone help. How do I change it to standard options. See screenshot attached.

I created a filter called BulkMail and set it to put all filtered mail into the folder called BulkMail. It's worked fine for a long time and it is, apparently, still working. But now I'd like to edit the filter and when I enter 'Tools/Message Filters' I only see the window with 'filters for: myemail...' but no filters in the list. It's empty. Where are my filters? What am I doing wrong? Thank You.

Have a new Dell XPS, using Chrome as my primary browser.. however its a pig on power consumption. I recently switched back to Windows, was a iOS user for last 10 years.. Remember the good Windows XP Firefox days...

I am unable to go back using the track pad, my gesture when I swipe with two fingers from left to right doesn't work... However this works just fine on MS Edge, or on Chrome. I am able to scroll up and down, and zoom in and out of text using my track pad, but my back gesture doesn't work... Has anyone had this issue before?

Firefox Dev Ed is a great browser for web development and tweaking CSS. But sadly it does not always show default property values.

element's default padding-left property. This apparently is set at 40px automatically unless overridden by the web designer. I think that ALL inherited or default properties of elements ought to be clearly shown in the inspect tool's styling listings. You could spend hours maddeningly trying to find the cause of some of these offsets to what you expected to display. The curious thing is that some inherited or default property values are shown on the inspect tool - which leads us to assume that what is seen on inspect is all that there is . . . This change should not be too difficult to implement. And it would be a great thing to have when searching down unexpected behaviour in webpage displays.

I have long been an enthusiastic user of thunderbird with "virtual identity". I kept Thunderbird 68 until few days ago. I had the stupid idea of ​​updating and now I am in trouble. Many of the virtual identity features are not yet present in Thunderbird 78.

For those who like me use tons of aliases (to avoid SPAM), virtual identity is indispensable especially in the functionality of automatically choosing the sender according to the recipient. Will it ever be possible to have this function in the core?

Since version 68 it is not possible to start Firefox in minimized mode in the taskbar. Do you have a solution please? With shortcut property = no résult With a batch file = no résult I am using Windows 10 and last version of firefox (87.0) Thanks

I have browsed the threads with this same issue and have tried all that has been suggested but I can not get my images to show when my recipient receives my email.

When I click 'attach this image to the message', the images are sent as an attachment. Unticking this box, which has previously been fine, some recipients can see my images, but many can not. I have tried using images that are sourced on my PC and from my website - no difference. I have tried saving as a template. Didn't work. My email signature is saved as a HTM file and I have ticked 'Attach the signature from a file instead'. I have also tried pasting the HTML code into the 'signature text' area and this made no difference. Compose messages in HTML format is ticked. In send options, I have used both 'send message in both plain text and HTML' and 'send the message in HTML anyway' - neither have worked.

Would really appreciate some help with this as it looks so unprofessional when my recipients keep getting white boxes in place of images.

I am really at a loss. Please help!

after a firefox update my titlebar buttons are just white and I cant change it, even tried reinstalling and completely removing the folder in %appdata% but it still didn't work and it's really annoying.

I wanted to sync my reading list via Pocket between multiple devices. On my iOS devices, this works fine but I cannot enable Pocket for Firefox on my Windows laptop. In about:config the setting for extensions.pocket.enabled is set false and is greyed out, so I cannot change it. I checked about:profiles and found two profiles, one in root and one in local directory. The one in the root directory has a prefs.js file, where extensions.pocket.enabled is apparently set to true (contrary to what is said in about:config).

I have done some googling but couldn't figure out why I cannot change the setting in about:config. I would very much appreciate your help. My laptop has Windows 10 and Firefox is of version 87.0. The laptop has an enterprise environment, so maybe some app or default setting is blocking the settings. However, I don't know what to look for, but I am granted admin rights to make changes if necessary.

I need help setting up a filter to send spam to a junk folder. I'm getting several spam messages per day to my inbox. Most of them appear to be from a legitimate company but they are usually from a com address that is two unrelated words.

I've tried following instructions, but I'd get to a point where it didn't work.

I added Spam Scores to Thunderbird. I'm in message filters, match x-spam-score. But I can't figure out what to do from there, like "contains", etc . I don't know what to put there. What should I put there, or am I in the wrong place?
