I have many email accounts I pickup with Thunderbird and I used to be able to sort them in order of importance but not so with v125.0.
The add-in is disabled and I tried sorting the accounts in account setting but the minute you leave account settings the sort is gone.

When composing a new email and using the F9 key to list addressees in the defaulted address book, this list does not contain many addresses that are contained in the "All Address Books" (Toolbar icon). The "All Address Books" contains 37 address entries whereas the defaulted address book contains 24. I noticed that the missing addressees are more recent additions.
I was able to open reddit.com without any problems earlier, but recentrly I'm not able to load it up anymore. The loading screen is eternal and it doesnt show any kind of… (читать ещё)
I was able to open reddit.com without any problems earlier, but recentrly I'm not able to load it up anymore. The loading screen is eternal and it doesnt show any kind of error (unless it tries to connect for too long like a couple of minutes, then the error does shows up). The site still sends me notificarions through the browser though. Any other site loads up without a problem. I tried to use methods mentioned in the help article (turned off proxy, turned on network.dns.disableIPv6, deleted cookies and cache). In other browsers (Edge, for example) reddit.com loads just fine. Please help me if you can.

Firefox currently does not prevent macOS from going to sleep when a download is active.
How do I know this? 1) I downloaded a file from the internet. 1.5 GB in size. 2) I opened a Terminal window in macOS, and ran `pmset -g`. 3) I searched for "sleep" in the "Currently in use:" list, and checked if Firefox was listed. It was not.
Is there a setting that I can enable that I can download to make this happen?
I think extensions don't have the capability to prevent macOS from going to sleep. Correct me if I'm wrong.
A quick fix for now would be the `caffeinate`-command in the Terminal-app, but I think this is very resource-wasteful.

Starting a couple of weeks ago, I began noticing that occasionally (every 2-3 days usually), a few empty files appear in my c:\ folder (Windows 10, as up-to-date as Windows ever is). They have names like "wal3A7109C6" (no file extension). Usually 4-5 will be generated at the same time (ie, same timestamp, so within the same second).
When I first noticed them, I (nervously) deleted a batch with no apparent consequences - but I had to activate Administrator privileges to get rid of them. I ran virus scans but have seen nothing unusual.
A few minutes ago, I had Firefox open but minimized to the task bar. I also happened to have c:\ open in a Window I could see. As I tapped to expand the browser, another of the files appeared, and the browser window behaved oddly for a moment, as though about to crash. The last few versions - I'm at 125.0.3 (64 bit) - have been crashing more than I'm accustomed to, but this is the first time I'd considered the browser to be a likely suspect.
Does anyone have any clues/possibilities to offer? It would be much appreciated.

May I first say that trying to get hold of you to make this report was painful, and took about 20 minutes and a long walk around Mozilla's assorted website, opening two accounts, etc.
I received a notice while using Firefox on PC that an update was available. I was going to put it off, as I had 25 tabs open, but the notice indicated that my open tabs would be restored once the update was complete, so I approved the update. It download and I assume installed the update, seemed to temporarily close Firefox, and then reopened the original page with all my open tabs, plus an empty page. When I tried to open the tabs shown, they all indicated that the tab had crashed and then gave me the option of restoring that tab or on some restoring all tabs. Neither worked, in fact, that Firefox page became completely unresponsive and would not allow me to browse new urls (the tabs just spun). I actually had to use MS Edge to get to anywhere to seek out someplace to make a report. I first went to the discussion group and opened up an account there, but from there noticed that feedback on Firefox was at a different url. I then needed to create an account "here". Since nothing was working, I closed and reopened the Firefox page with all the tabs on it, figuring maybe it would restore the crashed tabs. It did not and all tabs were lost. I can probably get back to some of them using the history archive, but it was very disappointing and will be even more time consuming. I am running the current version of Win 10 pro, 64 bit, on a PC. tooooooooo slow. I waited 36.6s until http response for every new URL open! Of course, I am using a lot of Firefox extensions, but there were no serious problems outside of YouTube, and the same problem occurred after removing the extension, and i also confirmed that the problem caused by web extensions on waterfall(on firefox profiler) was minor.
I can't even guess the cause of the problem, so unfortunately there seems to be no additional information that I can give you. I'll keep following up as long as I can. I will attach some pictures that might help you solve the problem. and you can also approach to my full-recorded firefox profiler data
Mozilla crash reporter is constantly appearing even when I don't have Firefox open..I have windows 11.

I could log in there but I don't want to, I just want to get rid of it. Links from Telegram open in it, creating a second Firefox window instead of opening in another tab in the already open Firefox window, which is very inconvenient. The windows list of programs which can be uninstalled only has one Firefox (I've tried deleting and reinstalling, it doesn't help). But when I try to choose a default browser I get 2 icons to choose from which look the same (see screenshot). What the heck? How do I manage this!

I've read the "fixes" from 2023 and they do not work for me. I tried changing the DESCRIPTION to blank, didn't work. Changed them to the corresponding e-mail for the account. Didn't work. Changed it to "SMTP" with the corresponding e-mail. Didn't work.
It keeps changing the last one I edit to the one I edited before it. It's driving me crazy. Won't send mail unless the User Name is correct (obv.)
Whole mess started when forced to switch from Cox to Yahoo recently. Seems to be working other than TB changing the name as soon as I type in the next one in the next email address and then it not working until I change the User Name back to the proper e-mail address of the 6 accounts.

Just transferred from old MacBook Pro to new one. Successful migration except: The icon for the WE Transfer service doesn't show up in the narrow black ribbon at the top of the Firefox page - instead there's a blue exclamation point in a blue circle. Clicking the blue circle/exclamation point takes me to the WE Transfer page. What do I need to do to get the actual icon to replace the blue circle/exclamation point? Thanks in advance.

I have been using Firefox on my Mac for years with no problems. Recently, however, I have been having trouble running YouTube. I get to the correct page for the video I want but the video itself does not show up, just the background for the page. Any idea what I might have done to create this problem?
This is a recent issue. If I send an email with no images and no attachments, it copies the email into my "sent" folder with no problem. If I send an email with even a s… (читать ещё)
This is a recent issue. If I send an email with no images and no attachments, it copies the email into my "sent" folder with no problem.
If I send an email with even a small attachment...it sends the email, but "times out" copying the message to the sent folder.
I've checked the account/server settings, they are exactly as recommended. I've changed the sent files to "other"...no difference. I deleted and reinstalled Thunderbird...no change.
Ideas?
