So I had logged into this Firefox account, but while I was, I forgot my password. I needed to enter the correct code from the email, but I lost the recovery key; I needed to enter in the 2FA code from my phone, then I could now change the password. When I logged in, boom, bookmarks gone. Passwords gone, and browsing history gone. I was waiting for it all to sync, but it had probably synced the deletion of everything possibly. I have no idea what happened, but I do not believe my account was compromised, because I did not get any emails about any new logins. If it is encrypted, how can I decrypt it so I can get my stuff back? Thanks.

I have zero interest in this nonsense malware being added, especially with their terrible reputation for security

I am using tab groups and suddenly they all disappeared. There is no hint or trace of this function, not even in the tab pulldown menue. I checked the internet, I restartet Firefox several times, I restarted my notebook (Windows 11), I checked about:config (tab groups are enabled). I even reinstalled firefox - it seems like tab groups never have existed. What might have happend - and how could I get that feature back?

Nach dem Update vom Oktober kann Firefox nicht mehr auf Deutsch angezeigt werden. Die Umstellung auf Deutsch in den Einstellungen haben keine Wirkung. Was ist zu tun?

Today I updated to Firefox 143.0.3. When done (most of?) my add-ons were gone, in particular all my add blockers, facebook container, etc. Also, my search engine defaulted to Google (yikes!)from Duck Duck etc. I am very specific about trying to block all ads, trackers, etc and avoiding all Google products. Other things stayed the same like cookies preferences.

Is this done by design? Is there a file somewhere that still has all my add-on info, that I can restore.

I really would give up on browsing if I am forced to see ads all the time.

My Firefox browser just updated to version 143.0.1. When the browser reopened, there was an instructional page that opened in a new tab describing the Unload Tab function. I followed the instructions, right-clicked on the tab, the drop down menu appeared, but there wasn't an Unload Tab option. However, there was a Reload Tab option shown.

How do I resolve this? I'm using a macOS 15.6.1.

I have been a Firefox user for many, many years. I started getting the Subject message: "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message this evening. I started to "Fix" this error based on the Mozilla Support page. Actually, I first tried restarting my computer and that didn't correct the problem. I then noticed I could "sign off" Firefox which I thought I'd do and sign back in. I didn't notice until after the fact that my Firefox account was tied to a very old email address I once used that is no longer active "commish3@bellsouth.net". When I tried signing back into Firefox using that old email account, it said a security code would be sent to that old email address. Problem is I no longer have access to that email account.

1) Is there a way I can sign back in and have a security code sent to my current email address: tad3.dickinson@gmail.com ?

2) Can you assist with restoring my bookmarks. Again, years of building these bookmarks that I'm very dependent on.

Yet again Mozilla have decided that yellow folder icons are not needed and have amended the code so user chrome files no longer work. Is there a new way to return the folder icons to yellow or are we stuck with the black icons with a white frame?

Dear Sir/Madam, Recently I have been having issues accessing a particular website named asus.com for reasons I am unable to discern I keep receiving an error message each time I attempt to access the site. I keep receiving an error message indicating that the site cannot be reached. It should be noted that I do not have any issues with any other websites. I am almost BLIND, "dark reader" extension that I paid for but cannot activate is BLOCKING important functions like the CAM I need to read with. I have contacted him many times, he just cruelly plays with me. he just keeps telling me over & over & over to do DO what is impossible to do because what I need is NOT THERE!. I am done with him. I will have to PAY A CAB to drive me & my crippled computer to a computer tec. in the hope they can clean up his mess.

Using hyprland, in one specific firefox profile, whenever I toggle PIP and resize it to be smaller than its original size or toggle float on the window, it just closes. Trying it in a different firefox profile, none of these issues are present.

Have never liked the bright orange Firefox icon, it's too dominating on my desktop, I LOVE the older brownish firefox icon, it's just right. So every time you come out with a Firefox update I get out "Resource Hacker" and change the icon to the older one, pictured below. I mentioned this before, asking if you could just give that option, and didn't receive a response. You come out with so many updates, it's a hassle changing the icon every time, but I'm willing to pay the price to escape the distracting bright orange icon, but now suddenly Firefox won't let me alter the icon in the exe. Was wondering if you'd have any suggestions. Have used Firefox exclusively for decades. Thank you very much.
