Trying to set up a mailing list for emails. Not sure how to set up a group that I can use to list names and emails. Went to help. Instructions said to > open address book > select file > new > mailing list. I went to address book ok but cannot find 'File' there.

Am after assistance in getting mailing list set up.

Thunderbird still syncs Gmail contacts even though I have no Gmail account in TB. I imported a Vcard into TB and deleted a couple contacts. Went back into Gmail contacts and had to restore them.

Hello, I can't find a way to connect my contact database to Thunderbird for Android. How can I set this up so that email addresses can be easily added or imported automatically in the entry fields of a new email? Thanks in advance! Regards

I'm using Win11, TBird Version 145.0 (64-bit). I'd like to copy an address entry from one address book to another. I can MOVE the entry by dragging it from one book to the other, but I'm too stoopid to figure out how to duplicate the entry in the 2nd book. Help!

Since the latest update to my Thunderbird installation (Windows 11), my previously created Mailing Lists have stopped working after always working well. Thunderbird Release: 140.7.0esr (64-bit)

I now get the message below when I try to send an email using a mailing list address:

• • • Committee <*** Committee members> is not a valid email address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the email. (Name partially starred out for security).

It's very simple.

When I create an address book, I want it to stay the way I created it.

What I don't want is an address to be taken out of that book to add to another address book.

I want my address books to stay the same as I created them.

Just started using Thunderbird, coming from MS Outlook. I have exported my contact details in Outlook to a .csv file, and tried to use this as the import source to transfer the details to Thunderbird address book. I have checked the fields to transfer, but none end up being passed over. The .csv file appears to hold the correct data with the correct field headers. Although I do not have many contacts, transferring them individually by hand seems a very old-fashioned thing to have to do lol

Updating my Address Book in Thunderbird v148. The darned thing does not permit two people to have the same email address or phone number - pain in the "A" to say the least !

Couldn't find a way to create a new address book, so I used an old one and re-named it and added a new list of names and emails, but when I tried to send an email message, when I typed in the name of the new address book, the field turned RED. Can I send it? How to create a new address book that will work? THANK YOU!

Address sidebar CONTENTS disappears after turning on to forward or send a message, The sidebar is still there but empty of addresses, which do appear for about a second on opening the forward message tab.

I am still using version 60.80, and want to back-up all my contacts. There is no export button in tools, so how do I back them up?

Any advice appreciated. (Not too technical as I am 79)

I recently re-installed Win 11 with the help of a Dell tool. During the re-install all of my data files were kept, but not the applications. I've re-installed Thunderbird and it works fine. However, I've noticed that my address book is empty. I've found abook.sqlite through the Profile Folder, so I know the file exists, but how do I connect it to the Address Book link in Tools? Thanks Sam

The ability to select "Done" for New Contacts is totally off-screen on the right when using part-screen (screenshot2 below). When in full screen only a part of the box is available to complete and entry (screenshot1 below).

I've tried adjusting font size and other stuff in Windows 10, but nothing changed the way the Thunderbird looks in this regard.

I created a Mailing List within an Address Book a year ago. I now need to add some new contacts to the Mailing List . I added the new contacts but could only add them to the Address Book. I now need to copy them from the Address Book to the Mailing List, but can't see how to do so , there seems to be no way to view the two lists side-by-side.
