Hi all,

In a now deleted Windows 10 Thunderbird setup, we used the Config Editor to globally set Delivery Status Notifications as true.

This ensured that every email attempted to return a delivery notification without the user having to manually request one when composing an email.

We have since shifted all our computers to Linux Mint, but I am unable to find this variable in the Config Editor.

Has this been removed?

I would like to stop version 146.0.1 of Thunderbird from loading yahoo mail when executing Thunderbird in a annoying new window. Just started happening 01/05/2026. Thank you Jeff

I want to have my sent messages in the sent folder on my main account, but Thunderbird insists on putting them in a Save folder in Local Messages. I've changed the settings several times in my account, but the change won't 'stick'

The Delete button (I've just begun using Thunderbird for Android) sends email to Delete-land: gone for good. There is no way to reprogram it to send to Trash. One can, alternatively, hide it on the main screen by setting swipes left and right to None. But it is still there in the Read screen....and potentially dangerous. If you try to set a swipe to Trash rather than Delete, there is no Trash option. So you have to set it to Move and choose Trash each time. This reduces the utility of Tbird Android and means you have to be extra-careful when reading emails.

Also, no way to reduce image sizes (by percentage) when attaching large picture files...unless you reduce them in advance in an image processing program.

I would like to see my TB inbox to sort by date. I tried to do that by - Clicking on Message List Display Options at upper right - Selecting Sort by - Date But the messages are not in date order regardless of whether I select Ascending or Descending.

For example recent emails displayed in this order: 1/2/2026 1/1/2026 1/3/2026 (Date not displayed because it's today) 12/24/2026 1/3/2026 (Date not displayed because it's today) I'm using - PC with Windows 11 - Thunderbird release 146.01 (64 bit) which at least now is the latest release.

I uncheckd the checked box labled "check spelling as you type" to disable it and it's still showing spellcheck. It's gettingin the way of me typing and being able to spell on my own. It's extremely annoying that I can turn off a featire and the progra will just ingore that I've turened it off. Why is this an actualy problem? why doesn't this button just work? I want it OFF... Please.

I have been using Message Filters to organize my emails into various folders. One week ago, I added a new email account to Thunderbird. Today I tried to set up filters for the new account in the same way, but they are not working. Specifically, the "Condition" and "Action" columns in the Message Filter window are completely empty. Furthermore, I noticed that columns in the filters settings for my original email account also seem empty as shown in the attached screenshot. Even the filter setting looks empty, the original setting seems working correctly. I have uninstall and re-install Thunderbird, but it does not fix the issue. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue?

Using Thunderbird 128.8.1 on Windows 10 (yes, I know). Have used Thunderbird for many years, with thousands of saved messages in local folders.

When I started the program this morning, no previously "Read" messages of any kind (local or online) appeared in any folder -- just the new, Unread messages in the Inbox. If I read a new message and then go on to another one, the first message also disappears, whether I leave it in the Inbox or move it to another folder.

In Troubleshooting Mode, all the "Read" messages show up, so they're clearly still accessible. I feel like I must have accidentally toggled a switch not to display "Read" messages -- but not sure how to reverse the process.

I have a desktop and two laptops running Thunderbird ver 140.6. As of today, it was working yesterday, I have lost the message preview feature on the desktop. Everything is working fine on the laptops.

Le code source de cette dernière montre que le code html du cadrage est présent. Un réglage bloque la lecture de l'html ?

Que se passe-t-il ? Merci de votre aide.

In the signature in HTML format, a space is automatically inserted after a hyphen. How can I prevent this?

Example: Correct: domain-xxxxx.com This is how it is saved as an HTML file.

However, this is how it actually looks after restarting: Incorrect: domain- xxxxx.com

Want to clear the 'RIGHT CLICK MOVE EMAIL TO FOLDER LIST ' THAT ACCUMULATES OVER TIME . lIST GETS TOO LONG. Searched thoroughly for an answer but found none.

 Please respond if you know how to clear this list.
