All of a sudden, without installing a new release, no change to settings, send does not work any more. Windows 12 TB 128.3 I push send, screens gets less contrasted and nothing happens. I bypass the problem by leaving the message, saving it to drafts and with my smartphone I srnd the draft! Something else happens since some time, do not know if it is related: when I open TB and go to inbox, it shows an inbox that's not up to date. After a minute it refreshes to the present inbox. Pls help, TY

My house was hit by a lightning strike and it blew out my computer. It looks like both the drives in that computer are readable. So I am wondering how I can get all my email back into thunderbird. It was a pop account. All email was saved to computer. I'm using windows 10. I tried to just copy the old file at Users/Mike/AppData/Roaming but that didn't work. It didn't bring back all of the folders. Please let me know if there's anyway to rebuild all the folders and emails. Thanks in advance for your help. Mike

Cox just transferred all customers' email systems to Yahoo. After my e-mails were transferred to Yahoo, Yahoo tried to help me when I was getting error messages saying that log in to server smtp.mail.yahoo.com with my user name (my e-mail address) failed. The Yahoo rep told me that my problem is that "Whenever the generated app password from Yahoo is entered, sending emails works, but it only stays like that until the computer gets restarted. The app password is not saved." The rep told me that many Thunderbird users who had their email systems transferred to Yahoo are having the same problem. Has anyone had this problem and been able to resolve this problem? Thank you! Cyd

This morning, my Thunderbird email stopped working although it was working fine a few hours earlier. The following is the error message: "Sending of password for user lepitzki@telusplanet.net did not succeed. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Username and password not accepted." After trying to find a solution at telus.com, my internet provider, I finally spoke to a real person (after nearly an hour on hold) who informed me that the recent google gmail update now prohibits third party email services, such as Outlook or Thunderbird, from connecting to Telus gmail email. And, that there is no work around or solution and that a supervisor could not offer anything further. I have been using Thunderbird for telus email for decades, I weathered the storm when Telus email moved to using the gmail platform, and I have many, many folders and subfolders. The Thunderbird third party platform allows permanent offline archiving of emails, which I require for my work. Is Thunderbird aware of this major issue caused by an update via Google? When I Reply the cursor used to default to the text so I could just start typing my message.

Now it defaults to the address field. How can I go into the hidden settings to change it?

On my new T-bird installation, I cannot find a way to add Send-Receive as a customization of the toolbar area, nor do I find so far any other way to send-receive, aside from interval-based automatic sending and receiving, and of course composing and sending a new email. Em-client has an easily accessed send-receive button, as does my long-time Outlook desktop client.

My COX email was transferred to Yahoo a few months ago. I followed the procedure outlined by COX and changed over to Thunderbird as I had used before. Everything worked great until the morning of August 18. I cannot receive or send email. I have tried contacting Yahoo who will not help me unless I subscribe to their Premium Technology package. I would really like to talk with someone from Thunderbird but have not found any help. HELP I cannot receive or send email
