My set homepage on Firefox was in English and has now switched to Spanish. Nothing I do will allow me to change to the English version. I have searched using different engines but every time I pick the English version of the MSN news website after clicking on the link it comes up in Spanish.

Oddly, if I pull up the Firefox private browser it comes up as the English version as it shows in my homepage settings. Any idea on what is going on?

Somehow my app is not is Dutch or German (??) and I can’t figure out how to switch it back to English. Please respond with specific screenshots on how to update the language. It’s not in English so I will not be able to make the update without screenshots. I’m using the latest Firefox iOS app. Just updated.

For example, the word thema, is exclusively capitalized in German, and it shows as error indeed when lowercase, but the capitalized one is not offered in the options. Why is that and how to fix it?

Also, is there a way to autocorrect capitalization for example?

I don't know why, but when I browse pages in English, the context menu offers to "translate selection into Hebrew". This is weird and totally unwanted. I don't know how FF decided that I need translations, and specifically to Hebrew!

In the settings, my preferred language is "English (US)". In "translation settings", the list of "Translation will happen automatically for the following languages" is empty, and the list of "Translation will not be offered for the following languages" has Hebrew and French. (I would add English but I don't see how.)

Is there a way to just remove this translation option from the context menu?

I was previously successfully using the translate selection with the translate dialog automatically detecting the language of the selected text. Then, with that dialog open, I tried changing the from/to language - you know, just messing around - and now it refuses to automatically detect the language. It is now stuck on Tranlate to French. I've checked my settings page and my default language is English. Where is it getting the idea I'm French? Annoying af.

How can I get the automatic language selection to English as it previously was?

NOTE: As I was composing this request, I visited the Amazon store - as that's where I use the feature most - and noticed it's probably the tool itself that's broken recently as it was getting it right all the time before but now it's hit or miss. Again, annoying af especially because I've come to rely on this a lot. Please fix.

Hello! Why do I get all of the Tools Menu in english when I've chosen Norsk Bokmål as standard language for my use at sites/streaming etc. What is the purpose of selecting the desired language if the tool options are only displayed in English?

I changed computers and in order to make sure I could use TB on the new one, I updated the old computer from 120-something to 128.5.2, and then installed 128.5.2 on the new one as well. The transfer went okay - once I saw the video that explains how to do it - but when I sat down to write an R-T-L email, it didn't automatically R-T-L, and when I looked for the "switch-direction" button I was used to in the old TB, it wasn't there! I can write in Hebrew, (or Arabic), but I can't R-T-L the text. HELP? HELP! Thank you

I have Thunderbird 144 and i have problem. I add pop3 account. New clean instalation Thunderbird. The name of Inbox is in Slovak "Doručená pošta" This is ok. Other folder have bad names. Not in Slovak but in English. Older versions Thunderbird not have this problem. Version 140 is ok. When I upgrade version 140 to 144 problem is here.... What about that?

今日Thunderbirdのメーラーを開いたらメールフォルダが英字表記に変わっていました。 具体的には「受信トレイ」は日本語のままなのですが、「送信トレイ」が「Sent」になり「迷惑メール」が「Junk」に変わるといった感じです。 受信トレイ以外はすべて英字表記になっています。 設定にある「言語とフォント」は「日本語」のままで変更はありません。 元に戻す方法をご存じの方がいましたら、ご教示をお願いいたします。

I occasionally create a message in right-to-left language. I can allign the text right, for that purpose, but I cannot enter text in the regular "flowing" manner as left to right english text. The cursor keeps on jumping to the beginning of the line, and the period is added at the beginning of the right-to-left text. Finally I realized that this is because the allignment is set properly to "right", but I cannot find a way to change the PARAGRAPH DIRECTION, which remains left-to-right! Typically, text entry programs provide an allignment as well as a Paragraph Direction setting for right-to-left languages. Any knowledge of how to set right-to-left paragraph direction will be greatly appreciated! Thanks much!

Dlaczego zawsze gdy chcę przetłumaczyć stronę pokazują mi się -tłumaczenie z język polski na język perski? Zawsze muszę wprowadzać, że chcę przetłumaczyć z język angielski na polski na przykład. Nie wiem jak mogę to zmienić by móc szybciej przetłumaczyć konkretną stronę? Skąd zawsze pokazuje się ten język perski. Chcę by zawsze wskazywało mi,że chcę przetłumaczyć np z język angielski na polski i nie potzebuję ustawiać, by wszystkie strony tłumaczyły się na język polski. Może ktoś wie jak usunąć tą podpowiedź tłumaczenia z język polski na język polski i ustawić inną podpowiedź? Dziękuję wraz z pozdrowieniami.

Nach dem Update vom Oktober kann Firefox nicht mehr auf Deutsch angezeigt werden. Die Umstellung auf Deutsch in den Einstellungen haben keine Wirkung. Was ist zu tun?

I am using Firefox 128.5.0esr (64-bit) on Debian 12. This is the browser that comes installed with the system. Recently, an offline translation feature was added to Firefox. In settings, you can download various languages. I would like to know where language models for offline translation are stored. The downloaded languages I want to copy to another computer without internet connection so that I can use the offline translation on this computer.

So I've tried everything I've looked through all of the different forms talking about language and changing it on your phone to English and then changing it on settings to English that's not working I've deleted the data and the app and read downloaded it and it's still stuck in Japanese nothing I do it's changing it back to English. In the dumbest thing is there is no translate for Japanese on Firefox yet on the mobile app it says it's not supported. So how on Earth am I supposed to change it back to English if I already have the device and the app both set to English?
