I am having trouble signing into my account ******@gmail.com. I no longer have an authenticator app account and I used all of my backup codes. I do have a recovery key though. I hope this helps in recovering access to my account.

Trying to set up sync on my freshly reset Pixel 8a (on Android 16) and did reset as I was failing to log in in the first place.

Either password authentication or scanning QR takes me to the MFA prompt and end up with "Bad Request" "Something went wrong, please close this tab and try again"

Have tried numerous times!

When on laptop, I want to synchronize account to desktop. I try to log on but need to get authorization code. The code takes an unreasonable amount of time to arrive, to my phone sms or email. Please allow me to use a different way of logging in so that I don't have time to forget what I'm doing... signed grumpy old man Cheers, George

I'm attempting to sync my account between a Windows host and a Linux host. Logging into my account on Linux brings up a "Authorize this sign-in" window that demands entry of a 7-char "Authorization Code" (not the same as a six-digit authentication code) which is emailed to me. After entering the authorization code, a window appears stating "Bad request - Something went wrong. Please close this tab and try again." This happens consistently, and only on the Linux host. Firefox 134.0.2 mint-001 1.0. Linux Mint 22.1. Any ideas about what went wrong?

i recently disabled 2fa and installed a new authentication app: Ente Auth. i keep getting invalid code each time i enter the generated code. i tried both options, scanned the QR code and entered the secret key manually. i used authy with success as my auth. app with firefox but can't use authy anymore. keep having issues setting up 2fa with other auth apps. thanks for any help you can offer. peace, Adrian

Are you aware if there is any reason why firefox seems not to work with https://mycambridge.sso.cambridge.org/ in combination with the google authenticator app. I'd be most grateful for advice, as a longtime firefox devotee, who has to remember to use an alternative browser for this particular combination. I discovered that I cannot sync with my google account protected from 2FA.

In detail:

1. Numbered list item showing something went wrong page when I am trying to login from (about:preferences#sync);
2. Numbered list item Login successful with another account not protected by 2FA

Note that:

1. Numbered list item cookie allowed;
2. Numbered list item using newest version;
3. Numbered list item protection set to standard;
4. Numbered list item tried to reinstall firefox

but none of them are successful.

I have also confirm that:

1. Numbered list item the account is able to sign in from other platform from mozilla(it's the account I'm using now)
2. Numbered list item there's no (significant) error logged from the F12 console

I've always had some issue where i have two mozilla authenicators on my phone , so i decided to remove it and redo it so i can delete those two and put one in . I didn't think this would be a issue , but when i attempt to set it up , it gives me a backup code , i put it in when it asks me to and then it says its incorrect . It makes me quite confused as it continues to give me a new code but its always deemed wrong when i copy and paste it .

i set up a 2FA, but now i logged in... AND IT IS NOT ASKING FOR IT ! ...at the settings it is TURNED OFF ...if i want to turn on, i have to REscan the QR.. but why i already have it on my phone!? So is there a logfile where i can check WHO TURNED OF MY 2FA! So i guess i have to assume i got hacked?

Hello, On March 1, I worked with the Mozilla help team to create a recovery key. Now that I need it, it says it is an MS Dos executable file, and that I can't run that file on my computer. I have tried a few workarounds from google, but really I just need my recovery key. I thought maybe this was because wordpress is no longer available on Windows PCs but I can't open it in word either, it just keeps saying it's an MS Dos executable file.

I really need the recovery key because I can't access anything on one of my computers. Can you assist?

My name is Ayah, and I’m having trouble accessing my Roblox account. After I accidentally clicked on a suspicious link, I was logged out and now I’m being asked for a two-factor authentication (2FA) code that I don’t recognize or have access to.

I believe my account may have been compromised, and I no longer have control over the 2FA settings. This account is very important to me, and I would really appreciate your help in recovering it as soon as possible.

Could you please help me disable the unauthorized 2FA or restore my account?

the MyChart app has changed, and I'd like to setup a passkey, but I don't know how. Do I do it on Firefox? Can I use the same key everywhere a passkey is asked for.

I use a PIN on Microsoft 365, which seems like a passkey.

Amazon keeps asking for a passkey to authenticate, and it says it's from Firefox. I just close w/o entering anything.

PS. I'm 77 with mild-moderate tech knowledge. New stuff is hard. Any help you can give will help me.

Hello! I tried adding two-step authentication to my account, but every time i try to do it and enter the code from the app there is a "Incorrect two-step authentication code" message, despite checking it and retrying multiple times. I am using the google authenticator app.

A few months ago I made an account on Firefox, synced all my data(passwords), then when I lost my PC I tried to login but couldn't find the recovery key. Now I found it, is there a way to use that recovery key to get back my saved passwords?

To set up a Passkey, it says to enter a pin, which it then says I can find and change in Settings. I can't find any of it because my Mozilla account, even though I'm not doing anything, says it has timed out. Please help me locate my PIN. Thank you
