Firefox Account verification emails never arrive. Password works. Sync works on existing devices. New device verification email is never delivered. Account appears stuck in verification state.

I have a fingerprint scanner and a slot for a security key, but I have never used a security key, either in the slot or a USB plugin.

When I try to go to Gmail, I enter my gmail address, and then Firefox pops up a screen wanting me to insert my security key, and there are no buttons to change how I verify my identity.

I've hunted all around for what setting in Firefox is causing it, but no luck so far. Ideas?

My main Email Got Hacked how can I change my email or add a Account recovery key to my mozilla account or even add Two-step authentication ? I am very frustrated, please advise urgently.

I'd like to import my bookmarks on a newly installed Firefox system. To do this, I need to log in and enter a verification code. This code arrives by email, but only after a few hours. So it's too late to enter it.

its not in spam, unwanted or anything else. i tried it many times now but i never get any mail so i cant login anymore.

how should i ever get access to my account again? because there is no other way..

I was trying to sign in to siriusxm.com. A box came up that said "Please insert your security key", with a diagram that looks like a flash drive. It said the request came from FireFox Mozilla Corp.

Is this one flashdrive key that will work for everything Firefox Mozilla Corp wants to guard, or it is something required by SiriusXM? I've never heard of it, but have seen it pop up for two or three things in the last week. I don't know how to satisfy the requirement. I looked though the topics on FireFox help page, and nothing mentions it that I can find.

I recovered my account using a backup code and set a new password. Two-step authentication is enabled but I don’t have the linked TOTP app. The settings UI does not allow disabling 2FA and does not offer backup code input. I still have unused 10-character backup recovery codes. Please advise.

I used to log into my Vanguard account until, maybe one month ago. Now it requires me to take a picture of a square box with my mac desktop computer. Don't know how to do that. Can I use the old Fire Fox update?

For several months now I am not longer able to use Firefox when signing into sites (Bank of America, ID me) that authenticate using a security device. I have refreshed firefox and turned off enhanced tracking protection for those sites - but no change. When I long in and get to the authentication stage I immediately get an error before using the device; then later when I refresh and use the device Firefox freezes and is unresponsive. It does not show "unresponsive" in Force Quit - but the only way to do anything is to quit firefox. I'm running Sonoma 14, the latest version of Firefox. This is a major problem - I'm using Firefox for security and now I have to go to another browser each time I want to securely sign in to a site.

I tried to sign into my account, but then it sends a code to my email which i go into but didn't get and have waited for an hour but still nothing. Has this happened to anybody?

Hi folks, I set up mfa on my Firefox account a while back using Authy but now that I need to redownload Firefox for my mobile device I have forgotten my Authy PIN and can't seem to find the account recovery keys anywhere. I may have lost them because of only storing the recovery key and pin record locally on a device I have since formatted and sold. It looks as though it's very difficult to recover via Authy or perhaps not possible (I have one mobile and laptop and Authy has discontinued the desktop app). Is there a way to reset the account so that I can set up my 2fa again and this time keep the access info in a safer and retrievable place?

Hello, I have tried everything...filters, added contact, blocked senders but I'm still not receiving any email from Firefox. I need my verification numbers to continue to sign into my account. thanks in advance for helping, Scott

Hello, I am trying to reset my FireFox sync on my laptop and it keeps asking my for the 6-letter confirmation code when signing in. I realized my email as inactive and had to reactivate it during this process. However, despite being reactived I still do not receive FireFox account emails and I have all checked my spam, my filters, and even added accounts@firefox.com to my contacts and still receive nothing. I am not sure what to do at this point since I can't even set up a recovery key without the email.

I removed the authenticator app and moved to google authenticator. Now, when I try to sign in it asks authenticator app code and I didn't have recovery backup codes. Can you disable two factor authentication on my account?
