I love Firefox and have used it forever. But its memory usage is killing me lately and I'm seriously reconsidering.... PC, Win11, Intel7, 16GB memory. (I'm typing this from Chrome)

I've updated, restarted, but it keeps maxing out and slowing my computer to a crawl. Somebody please tell me there's a fix pending?

when i open shorts on youtube for example, the screen tilts after the 3rd video. i have to close the window then restart it, so it works. however, it continues to do the same later.

also, i am not being able to scroll down through facebook nor linked in. but on other search engines such as edge or chrome, everything works seamlessly

subtitles appearing on all YouTube content, even though subtitles turned off. I have toggled the cc button and also subtitles in settings with no luck. The cc box does work to turn subtitles in not YouTube videos.

'URGENT I can receive emails but cannot send emails. Keep getting them back "undeliverable" but they are to my regular email addresses. I have checked and recheck the format for sending they are correct. This occurred around 2nd April As I am making arrangements for a family member's funeral this is an urgent matter.

Hyperlinks keep opening in new windows, not in the same/existing window where they were selected. Issue is not unique to Google Search results and occurring across multiple websites. At wits end trying to figure this one out. I have deselected the "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", turned off all extensions, and uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Issue is still occurring. Attached is image of my tab selections showing all turned off.

This browser is not letting me connect with my pension website. It allows me to sign in, but the pages with my account are not showing up. How do I get it to recognize the website as safe?

When I launch Firefox, the first page, search function, bookmarks, or any pre-existing tabs fail to load and instead default to the homepage. On the second attempt, everything functions properly until I restart the app. After closing it, this bug occurs again and again. I would appreciate it if you could address this issue. I don’t know why it’s Impossible to get the connexion to helsana.ch on Firefox. Could you help me how to find a solution ?

I am shifting over to TB from Windows Live Mail. I have installed TB Ver 115.16.2 on 7 computers successfully (Win 7, 10 and 11) over the past year. But on one Win 7 computer TB will not save the password. Usually TB asks for the Password during set-up. But here it asked for it in a pop-up box. Yes, I entered the correct password. Yes, I said "save with Password manager." But here it keeps asking for it, over and over. At one point TB connected to the POP download server, just long enough to download all the incoming emails, but then quit connecting. It won't connect to the SMTP server. The port numbers for POP and SMTP are correct and the security settings are correct. I've done a lot of web searching. Most sites say that profile files logins.json and key4.db may be corrupted. I disabled them (by renaming) and copied those two files from another computer on which the same Thunderbird version works properly on the same mail server. Same thing - TB still keeps asking for the POP server password. I just deleted TB (uninstalled, and deleted all the appdata directories, and verified there were no lingering registry keys using a list shown on Spiceworks). I'll next reinstall, but don't have much confidence that it will work. Thanks.
