For the last 2 weeks I started having problems with Firefox working consistently. Sometimes only tabs crash, sometimes Firefox crashes. It is not tied to any actions, a tab can crash even if you don't perform any actions in the browser. I have tried clean install on Fedora and Vanilla OS, native and Flatpak packages. The result is always the same - tabs or Firefox crashes every few minutes.

I use Mozilla Firefox for work. Part of my work requires I use the GlobalProtect VPN client. When I log on to the VPN, everything appears to be fine. The problem arises when I log out of the VPN client, such as needing to switch to a different VPN.

When I log out of the VPN client, Mozilla slows down massively. I get the following errors when trying to access websites.

PR_END_OF_FILE Timeout

I thought it was a DNS issue, but the change I made previously did not prove to be a reliable fix, and I do not actually know the root cause of what is happening. Firefox returns to normal ONLY after a full computer restart. At this point I am considering switching browsers as, despite Firefox's functionality, it is starting to interfere with my work.

I have used other VPNs, such as Fortigate VPN, and not encountered anything like this.

Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

I'm getting the F7701-1003 error every time I try to play Netflix (works fine on other browsers). I tried every step of this guide this guide and triple checked it. I tried uninstalling, resetting profile, I that checked resistfingerprinting is turned on. I'm kind of at a lost. At this point I'm being forced to use other browsers...

Hello, I use Ufile for my taxes. They weren't bad a few years back. For the past 3-4 years they have been a problem with their website not loading properly. They want you to use Chrome (as do more then a few websites). I don't like Chrome for privacy reasons. What do you suggest I do? Load Chrome for Ufile and then delete it. Can you suggest a tax website that works better with Fire Fox? Open to suggestions. Thanks in advance. Bob

Since I am on my new Phone (Xiaomi Poco F6, Hyper OS 1.0.4.0, Android 14.UKQ1.240116.001), I have this weird thing with Firefox that when I minimize it and then come back a few seconds later, it will automatically reload the tab I was on. Which is extremely annoying because, for example, I was on the Paypal page and was getting my login code from messages, then when I got back on the Paypal page it reloaded and I could not insert the code, but had to click on 'send code' again (and again and again). I saw this issue appear multiple times apparently already on reddit and co. But nowhere I could find an answer to it. Someone? I looked in the battery saver settings and in firefox settings etc, but I can't find anything that makes tabs reload automatically and it makes no sense that anything would clear the cache every time I minimize firefox, no?

Firefox should definitely add a dedicated option in the toolbar to make switching between profiles easier. Currently, the only way to do this is through the "about:profiles" tab, which is much less convenient than the profile switching options in other browsers

 An update or two (maybe more?) ago, the plus sign with which we add shortcuts to the Firefox browser home page/new tab page disappeared, so now we can no longer add shortcuts on the home page/new tab page.  Please help.  I am running Firefox Version 129.0.2 (64-bit) on a Windows 11 Pro 64-bit if that makes any difference.  Thanks.

I'm experiencing a significant issue with my Firefox bookmarks after migrating to a new Mac device. Background:

1. 1 I recently switched to a new Mac and installed Firefox.
2. 2 Before the switch, I was using Firefox on another Mac, and I had synced all my bookmarks and other data with my Firefox account.
3. 4 The old Mac has since been formatted, and unfortunately, I no longer have access to it.
4. 5 After signing in to my Firefox account on the new Mac, I noticed that none of my previously synced bookmarks appeared. It’s as if the sync didn’t bring over any of my old data.

TL;DR: Despite having synced my bookmarks with Firefox on my old Mac, they did not transfer to my new Mac after syncing. I’m worried that these bookmarks might be lost forever.

Is there any way to recover my old bookmarks from the Firefox Sync servers or through any other means?

After last update, when I open the bookmark sidebar (CTRL+B) and change its size (width), and then close Firefox, sidebar's width change to previous size.

How to fix it?

Whenever you're trying to use app everything is extremely enlarged and it will not let me scroll or zoom in and out to make a selection and when made a selection it does not load the nextbold text

When playing YouTube videos in full screen using

Firefox: the gear button and the "restore screen size/exit full screen" button are nonfunctional (nothing happens when I tap on them).

Google Chrome browser: the gear icon button is nonfunctional.

DuckDuckGo browser: the gear icon button is non functional.

Opera browser: the gear icon button is non functional.

This problem started about a week and a half ago.

I have routinely copied multiple cells of Excel data and pasted it into Word in either Box or on my laptop. The pasted data is pasted into a Word chart - each Excel cell of data is pasted into its own box in the Word chart. However after just moving to One Drive, the copy/paste action fails to paste correctly into Word via One Drive. Instead of each Excel cell of data being pasted into its own box in the Word chart, all the cell data from Excel gets pasted into only the 1st box in Word when using One Drive. This is unique to Foxfire. The problem does not occur using Edge or Chrome. Can you please help to suggest what might be an easy solution. This is on a brand new Dell Latitude using Windows 11. I'm experiencing an issue with the search bar on the Firefox homepage. When I click into the search field and begin typing, the cursor jumps to the address bar, and the text I’m entering gets redirected there instead of staying in the search bar.

I've checked my search settings, and everything seems to be in order. I’ve also tried disabling add-ons, but the issue persists. Could you please assist me in resolving this problem?

I just started getting this error:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.newsmax.com.

I cannot find how to make this stop. I will get emails from Newsmax about articles and if there is something I want to read I click on the link in the email. I never had a problem with Firefox not opening the link. This just started and I can not get the link to open. I have Newsmax set up as a home setting. However, after I got the Secure Connection Failed error, I could not open the Newsmax web page even if I typed in www.newsmax.com. I am about to uninstall Firefox and use another browser. Can you please tell me how to fix this?
