i have used mozilla for many years, i HATE google! last night 12/31/24 duckduckgo was my search engine, i stayed up until 1 or 2am on 1/1/2025 and watched several youtube videos (i had been watching them all day) and turned my computer off and went to bed. around 9am 1/1/2025 i got up and turned on my computer, clicked mozilla in my toolbar and started a search, I GOT GOOGLE RESULTS, SO HIT THE BACK ARROW AND NOTICED GOOGLE WAS MY SEARCH ENGINE!! DID YOU DO AN UPDATE OR ANYTHING TO CHANGE MY SEARCH ENGINE TO GOOGLE? i managed to download duckduckgo and make it my search engine again. BUT i NEED to know if this happened on YOUR END, or if GOOGLE did something. I HAD NOT MADE ANY CHANGES TO MY COMPUTER ON 12/31/2024 OR THE EARLY MORNING HOURS AFTER MIDNIGHT!!!

IF MOZILLA DID THIS , I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY, BUT IF IT WAS NEFARIOUSLY DONE BY GOOGLE, THEN IM PISSED!!! THANK YOU!

I cannot get Foxfire to be my default browser no matter what I do. I set it as my default browser and Bing no matter what is opened upon opening up the internet with a foxfire icon. I am as my wits end, what do I do?

So over the past month I have had trouble making google search my preferred option for my home page and new page default in Firefox. I have the latest version of windows and Firefox but when I open a new Firefox browsing session it loads the Firefox homepage not the google search page, similarly when I open a new tab. There was no issue accessing websites on my bookmark bar

The homepage issue seems to have been because the DNS was pushing to the wrong IP address for https://google.co.uk (something raised in a different post with a similar issue) I I fixed the homepage issue by entering the correct IP in the browser, google search opened immediately, I then then saved the page as a bookmark and in the Home settings chose use bookmarked page for home and new page and chose the saved google search bookmark (see attached screenshot)

However when I open a new tab it defaults to the the Firefox homepage not google search? If I click on the home button the google search page appears. My question is why is Firefox not following the settings I set for homepage and new tab setting and how can I fix this?

I have tried resetting firefox made no difference. I do not think this an antivirus problem since there is no problem access google search as the homepage only on a new tab further if I click the home button when on a new tab google search pops up immediately

I have deleted the entirety of my archived mailbox (Free) on my Thunderbird app, all the other mailboxes are still visible and the only missing file Free that was a folder with many other subfolders I am trying to recover the mailbox folder Free however I am not sure if there is a back up or an automatic backup or a way to go back... Kindly assist,

Hallo, in der Desktop Version funktioniert das verschieben von Mails in Ordner eines anderen Mailkonto ganz wunderbar. Wenn man auf Verschieben geht werden alle Ordner aller installierten Mailkonten angezeigt und ich kann die Mail in den notwendigen Ordner verschieben.

In Thunderbird für Android kann ich nur innerhalb des einen Mailkonto verschieben, was die Arbeit doch schon einschränkt.

Ihr hattet verkündet, das Thunderbird für Android die gleichen Funktionen erhalten soll wie die Desktop Version.

Gibt es eine Aussicht auf diese Funktion bei Android?

Hi How can I Select all emails from a sender. I'm looking for a similar functionality to Outlook where you right-click on an email > "Select all messages from this sender" so I can move them out, delete them, or do whatever.

It looks like this is missing from your application. If I can't use it, I have no other reason to use TB.

How can I get back to my previous performance on my laptop.? I've used the Task manager, permissions and other things. system restore is not good for me. going back to a previous date doesn't help. the troubleshooter wont work and task manager won't come up anymore. I've taken ownership of my computer several times. I've denied administrator permission as well as the trusted installer. They just come back the next day and take it back. Please advise what to do. I see you think it might have something to do with my antivirus program, Microsoft Defender. should I uninstall it and get another one. I just installed Malwareytes. Will that help? Thank you.

Hi, I'm not good with computer speak so please answer in simple English. Also, I'm sending a picture to help me explain. The "Inbox" in my picture is what my Thunderbird says is in my gmail.com labels. Only it does not list all of them. I deleted some labels in gmail and they were also deleted in the Thunderbird list. Then I added a couple labels in gmail and only 1 is listed in Thunderbird, the other is not. I tried closing both programs and added a couple more labels in gmail, nothing in Thunderbird. How do I get Thunderbird to recognize all of the labels in gmail? Right now in gmail there are 6 labels, I doubt there will be too many more in the future. Let's see, yes Thunderbird is up to date, have a Dell computer with Windows 8.1. Yes, I know that it is old and it's what I like and am used to, so that's what I'm staying with. Thank you, Bernadine

I went to right click on a open tab to share it with somebody. The share link has many unwanted choices. I wanted to clear those. So I went to Firefox settings Cookies and Site Data to clear everything in the cache, it will not remove them. Any help greatly appreciated.

I have a lot of Thunderbird filters. I'd like to search ALL FILTERS for an email address, returning those filters which have that email address in executable action.

In order to tidy up my environment, I'd like to print out the contents of one filter showing all aspects of the filter, including all the executable action.

The most useful part of Thunderbird that made it more useful than other email apps is that I can search by folder for email or word or partial and they show up in that folder. This seem to be gone to my annoyance. How do I get it back or what is the workaround to the awful replacement?
