Hi, I am using the dark mode in firefox which is god sent boon to persons having glaucoma, with dark mode in firefox and dark reader add on. This was going well and after a recent update, I could not find it working. The dark mode is enabled and dark reader was there, but the browsing pages only shows in white. Has firefox changed anything recently to have this issue? If I miss something would the experts say, how to get back my dark browsing experience in all sites. If I find anything not visible in some sites, I used to go the windows properties and change the contrast theme to windows basic blue theme and then switched back to dark theme. this was helping the glaucoma persons very much. please, say how to solve this problem

When choosing Paypal as payment option on website, the Paypal login page loads. But after entering my login info I just get a continuous circle. Message at bottom is "waiting for c.paypal.com" then nothing happens. Going in again I sometimes get the verification pictures to prove I am not a robot, but then the same thing occurs. I have cleared cache and data, refreshed Firefox, re-entered Paypal login details, checked Firefox is latest version, disabled AntiVirus, checked tracking protection is standard, turned off AdBlocking extension for that page but nothing works. Using Opera browser Paypal opens immediately. So what's the issue here Mozilla? Any fix?

Hello, I have problem playing nba matches on watch.nba.com (all the videos on the website included) I can play them fine in chrome and edge but firefox seems unable , when I click watch nothing happens. it stays in the same page and the same layout

Hello there !!!

Today I had serious damage to my Mozilla Firefox. When I started up Firefox I realized that I lost all my opened tabs on all my (three) opened windows, although I had checked the box "Restore previous sessions" in the settings section.

I opened "settings" and I saw this box unchecked !!!!!

The unfortunate event of this failure is that I restarted Firefox and even worse I restarted the PC.

Now I wonder, after all these, if there is a way to restore all my lost TABs that, I believe, there are hidden somewhere...

I had a few sites send me notifications for interesting articles with Chrome. Just like any app I would get a notification on my phone for the app event, in this case an article on that site, so if I clicked it it'd take me to Chrome and directly to that site and the article. After switching to Firefox I went to those sites and signed up for notifications. But when I get the notification and click it all it does is open Firefox. It never takes me to any of the corresponding sites or the articles. It's very frustrating.

The check box 'Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites' keeps unchecking itself. It used to work fine. Now, it doesn't. And consequently, the sub-item 'Autofill logins and passwords' won't work either.

Every time I open the browser to login to a website that has the login details saved, nothing happens. I have to go into settings every time and re-check the main checkbox (i.e. 'Ask to save...') in order to also activate 'Autofill...'.

This is really frustrating and annoying. Why won't the box stay checked? Hope you can come up with an answer. Many thanks.

Hi, I'm currently running Firefox on Fedora Linux 35 with Gnome 41 on a dual display setup, with a vertical one on the left (1920*1080) and a horizontal one on the right (2560*1440). I always open Firefox windows on the 2560*1440 monitor.

After closing the window, Firefox seems to remember the height of last session but not the width. Or more specifically, the width is always restricted to 1080, which is exactly the width of the secondary display, if the width on closing is greater than that. I checked the xulstore.json file in the configuration folder it always shows "width":"1080", which confirmed my speculation.

Is there a way that makes Firefox's new opening window with exactly the same width as when it was closed ignoring the second display's resolution?

I'm enjoying the feature of the pinned "Amazon Search" on Firefox Home – not just a shortcut to Amazon, but a shortcut with a blue magnifying glass that adds the "search with Amazon" parameter to the main search bar and allows you to search Amazon.com without having to visit the site first. I was wondering if it's possible to add a custom shortcut for other search engines... for example, YouTube?

For reference, I have a custom search keyword established in Settings for YouTube – "@youtube". But I want to know how I can have that keyword pinned to my Home page, just like "@amazon" currently is.

Previously, when I bookmarked a page/video (URL), if the newly bookmarked page (URL) had previously been visited, the bookmark would be displayed in the Sidebar (or Toolbar) with a typical "YouTube Play Button" icon (favicon). But, if the newly bookmarked page (URL) has never been visited, then the bookmark would be displayed in the Sidebar (or Toolbar) with a default "Globe" icon (favicon).

I almost always create bookmarks by dragging links/URLs from the browser client area to a folder in the bookmarks list in the sidebar (and sometimes/rarely, to a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar). But the same happens if I manually create a new bookmark to a "Visited" or "Un-visited" page.

Recently, this behavior just changed "without notice"...

Now, when I drag a link/URL from a the "Recommended videos column" on the right side of a YouTube page/video, to the bookmarks list in the sidebar, the bookmark is ALWAYS displayed in the Sidebar (or Toolbar) with a typical "YouTube Play Button" icon (favicon), regardless of whether the page had previously been visited, or not. How can I bring back the previous behavior of displaying bookmarks of un-visited pages/URLs in the Sidebar (or Toolbar) with a default "Globe" icon (favicon)?

If I'm using "Blue Theme by Valou" and then change the "New Tab Background Color" to a light blue (#b7dff0), the theme changes (when I don't want it to) and the "New Tab Background Color" does indeed change to light blue. Unfortunately, when I re-select "Blue Theme by Valou" by disabling the unwanted theme and enabling "Blue Theme by Valou", the new tab background color reverts to a default slate (nearly black) color -- the light blue background is no longer honored when I open a new tab.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Firefox updates use the term MSI, but never do you explain what that means. Come on guys step around the counter and act like a user. Not only what does it mean, but what are the differences between MSI and the download without MSI?

I want to completely disable the 'restore previous session' option.

I want to start a new session with my preset home pages 100% of the time.

Having Firefox display a page 'unable to restore previous session' with the options of 'display previous' pages and 'start new session' is inconvenient at best. I do not want to see that page, I just want Firefox to automatically start a new session every time I open it.

In the Tools menu settings tab, the 'Restore previous session' checkbox is not checked.

Can someone help me fix recent frequent crashes ? This is just yesterday. I tried troubleshooting mode and it didn't happen there, although I didnt give it a long trial. I deleted all extensions, and I reset Firefox. Any ideas?

Just moved from a certain other browser and I'm still not familiar with the things here, is it possible to change the background for the default homepage? I know you can do it with extensions and stuff but I would prefer the default homepage to be customizable so it doesn't have more things to load when I launch the browser

Today using Firefox 93.0 on my Windows 10 home computer I opened the browser to my Audible library on Audible.com and selected a book to download. The browser download window opened with the book file name but the extension wasn't .AAX but had been changed to .MP4. This did not happen when I used Microsoft Edge nor did this happen on my Windows 10 laptop which was still running Firefox 92.0. Once Firefox upgraded to 93.0 on my laptop I now get the same problem as I get on my home computer.

Audible technical support looked into the problem and found that this change wasn't caused by their servers.

I have discovered that if I change the file extension from MP4 to AAX I can load the audible book into iTunes and sync it over to my iPhone which is able to play the file as an audible book. This indicates to me that the actual AAX file was not converted to MP4. For some reason only the file extension was changed.

I wasn't able to find any setting in the Firefox browser that corrected this problem.

I noticed the following message at the top of my browser settings page - "Your browser is being managed by your organization." Except, this is on my home computer and not being managed by an organization. Is my browser compromised?

Hello there , I am trying to modify the menu-bar dropdown items when I hover over the list that opens with my mouse ( the dropdown list of any of Help , Tools , Bookmarks , History etc...). It is barely noticeable. I can hardly see the item chosen. I could use some help using the css. I am using FF93 and my platform is win7. Thanks look4
