I'm with BT and recently changed my password with them. Presumably as a direct result I can still receive emails through Thunderbird but can't send them (though both work fine if I use BT's own web service).

Initially I was getting 'timed out' responses but I've been running through some of the previously suggested fixes and am now at the point where I'm trying to enter the password (to login to BT server) and it's not being recognised.

All of the primary account settings seem okay, so I'm running out of ideas that aren't beyond my limited level! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

its been one or 2 days now that i press either and also on TWO DIFFERENT PC running win 10 and 115.9.0 version and nothing happens! doesnt get any messages. dont even get the Checking notification on the bottom left. auto message retrieve doesnt work either no matter the time period. its like i am clicking on empty space... a while after, just by itself, it starts downloading again.

I can’t find a password I just saved onto Firefox in Passwords . When I search for the site in Passwords it says there is no matching login and provides no password.

Help me synch all passwords from Firefox on my MS Surface Pro to my new iphone 15promax. It was synching just fine with my iphone 13 but with new phone I am lost. I have selected the option to Sync passwords but it is not working.

I'm wondering if anyone can shed light on this.... I'm using the very latest version of Firefox 124.0.2 (64bit) And recently having a problem when video chatting on facebook when chatting I can't see the "Cam" Icon to call up. Yet on Crome all is good.

Any help?

When I turn off the windows animations in Windows 10 the font on Twitter.com changes somewhat. I believe it is altering the character spacing/scaling.

I have not had this behavior on other browsers (Brave, Edge, Chrome & OperaGX tested). I have not noticed this on other websites, but I also haven't really looked.

This is not a critical issue for me, but I think it's worth mentioning

When i try and accept an e-transfer using Firefox, I'm getting an error message "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information". I've always been able to accept e-tranfers in the past.

Today I tried to look up a previous email that I'd filed in a subfolder, but the folder displayed no emails. If I click on the subfolder above it, it shows me the number of emails and displays the list of emails. Then when I click on the subfolder I want, it displays the name and number of emails for the previous subfolder I looked at.

I tried troubleshoot mode, but still no luck, and the folder is gray instead of yellow like all the others.

I'm using Thunderbird 115.9.0 (32 bit), Windows 11 Home 64-bit.

I've been using Thunderbird for years and have never had this problem before.

The attendees I select are not receiving their invites to my calendar events. My version of Thunderbird (TB) is 115.9.0 (64-bit). I check my sent folder and it does not send. Older versions of TB, the Calendar invite worked and I can see it was sent from the sent folder. Please note that I am not tech savvy and I need a solution that an average person can employ. If someone has a solution, please get it in step by step instructions and assume I know next to nothing.

I'm getting login issues to my Outlook account. I understand this is an emerging problem and I"m following the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202

However, I can't follow the instructions under section "Change Thunderbird authentication method for sending messages (SMTP)" because I don't have "Outgoing Server (SNMP)" in the lefthand side. I do have an option to edit Outgoing Server settings, but there is no option to set OAuth2 in the Authentication Method dropdown. I am unable to send Outlook emails, and I'm unable to complete the instructions to fix it. Help is appreciated!

I sent an email with multiple BCCs and no CCs or TOs, I put myself as one of the BCCs.

I did not receive it and I do not think anybody else did as well since I asked a few people.

The email is in the sent folder. I tried forwarding the email from my sent folder to myself as CC, and that worked. I also tried fowarding as BCC, and that worked.

So what is going on? Is BCC working? How can I know for certain? Do I need to foward the email as BCCs to all my BCCs to get this to work?

Hi I've been having an issue with adding bookmarks lately. I have a lot of Bookmarks as such I use a lot of bookmark folders, often multiple folders within one another.

The issue I have is that when I add a new bookmark on mobile Firefox displays all Bookmark folders all at once leading to a lot of scrolling in order to get to a specific folder. This can lead me to several minutes of searching as I try to find a specific folder.

This could be solved by implementing a drop down box to hide folders within folders.

Anyhelp is appreciated.

I just subscribed to some feeds on Thunderbird for the first time and it seems like the maximum number of articles downloaded per feed is 25. How do I change this? (Screenshot of the number of messages per feed.)

My passwords do not sync from windows. I have verified they are both connected but my ios never has my desktop passwords. I have verified connected the setting is checked to copy passwords i have hit the sync shile sitting at my desktop but the passwords never are on my phone.

What is a security key? Where do I find it? Why does Firefox think I have one?

And why is there no helpful information to explain this confusing UX?

why om last updates all my hotmail accounts keep asking me for passwords ? everytime i need to login... your older version was best then this.. i think you make updates with problems , how can i get the older version only ?

I've been using the Firefox browser, and recently when downloading files with Firefox, sometimes it prompts: .part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. # see image #1 I'm trying to download file to disk D. But the fail tips is download .part file to disk C. Maybe firefox is using some file cache policy which I don't know. I also checked both two location, my account have read/write access.

I can try to resume the download, and the download progress will increase, but about half a second later it will fail again. If the file is small and my internet speed is fast enough, after several attempts the file will eventually download successfully. # see image #2 I have tried using "private window" or enter "about:profiles" to create/use a new and clean profile, but the issue still persists. # see image #3 I tried using other download tools like "Internet Download Manager", and the download was successful. It's ok for use chrome to download the same file to same disk location. The problem recently emerged, it didn't exist before. At least a month ago, the same computer didn't have this issue. I'm not using parental controls.

I want to delete a mail folder from an IMAP server. When clicking "Delete" in right-click menu, Thunderbird tries to move it to trash. This fails for folders that are shared from another user with error "[CANNOT] Renaming not supported across non-private namespaces". When I switch the "When I delete a message" setting to "Remove it immediately" the folder is deleted correctly. Is it possible to do this just for folders? I tried Shift+Delete and holding Shift while clicking Delete but both did not work, Thunderbird tried and failed to move the folder to trash as usual. It would however be most useful if after failing to move the folder to trash it would give me an option to delete it permanently instead.
