I usually download and install manually the custom install of Firefox on Windows.

Recently, a new version was automatically installed without my permission and destroyed all my customization. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I had to restore the older version from backup and I was going to stop updating.

But I see that the manual custom installation is still available for download.

I want to make sure that if I use it it will not wipe out my customization again.

Please confirm.

It takes a lot longer than it should to load my home page, MSN. This problem is more pronounced with Firefox than other browsers. What can be done to load the home page faster? And, in general to load websites? Can someone help? Thank you.

The plus sign in the tab bar has always been on the far right side. I reloaded Firefox yesterday and now the plus sign is directly after the tab. How do I get the plus sign back to where I like it?

Please help me to understand why I keep getting the 'Gah! Your tab just crashed' message. This only started a couple of weeks ago, but is extremely annoying and makes me doubt the integrity of Firefox. The problem can be circumvented (at least for a while) by closing and re-opening Firefox, but I'd prefer not to have to keep doing this.

Whenever I try to log into my online banking all I get is a white screen, nothing whatsoever.

I can log in just fine using the dreaded Microsoft Edge or Chrome but firefox will not work.

Now, I do know that I have actually logged in with firefox because if I come back to the page 10 minute later I get a banking message saying that as I haven't done anything for 10 minutes it has now logged me out!

I have cleared cache & cookies, I've started in safe mode and looked at the threads in the forum but nothing helps.

This is happening on all instances of firefox that I have, work, home, laptop.

I am trying to remove the mobilisearch.com virus from my Firefox browser. I have tried a reset and have also tried the Zemana virus removal tool. Neither have worked. Any suggestions please

On firefox 126.0 (64-bit) the option for spelling check is enabled, but will not appear on the context menu box when right clicked. This happens for the desktop sites of Facebook and Instagram.

I've been using custom icons for all of my 36 shotcuts on Firefox start page. Today I opened Firefox and my icons are gone, Firefox slowy created its own ones and now I can't refresh them to bring back my own, despite there are my links pasted into entry. It's really time consuming to bring back old icons one by one, I have to upload each of them again to get new links, because somehow Firefox sees old links being in use and there's no way to refresh preview of them. Please give me faster method to bring back my old setting, I really hate changes so much!

I am sorry if I have doubled up on this but I am not sure what heading to give it. Since the most recent update of Firefox I have been unable to use Afterpay. My Afterpay account still works in Chrome and through the phone app. Afterpay themselves have checked through my account and their system, and there are no problems. Therefore, they recommended that I reach out to Firefox to request help. I want to use Firefox as I have done for years, but I cannot use it if it is incompatible with my Afterpay account. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, I am using Firefox for my company. We are using Quickbase system to access the data from internal server. Previously, I can allow Firefox to show the image that classified as unsecured context. I could see the setting option to allow unsecured pictures. But now I changed my account on my computer and when I use firefox, I can not see the image file from server and also I can not find how to allow unsecure picture. Is there way to set to allow unsecure stuff from Firefox? Please let me know.

Firefox's DNS over HTTPS is preventing my access to 2 websites I've used for years for booking golf tee times. The 2 sites are www.roosterrun.com and www.windsorgolf.com. I want to remove this feature and return my PC to it's previous settings. Please help. John Blevins bold text

For years I've watched General Hospital at ABC.com using FF as my browser. Recently, however, the videos won't play; all I'm getting are a lot of zeros (for playtime etc) and the settings gear & other options on the lower right are missing. This is happening with all shows on their site.

I'm not getting any Error Messages except when trying to watch "ABC Live" where I still can't watch but am getting an error message. I've cleared my cookies and cache, made sure the DRM content switch is on and that abc.com is allowed to leave cookies. I've also contacted their support staff but they haven't been able to help.

I'm not having any problem when I use a different browser. At least I'm not missing any episodes but I'd much rather NOT use Chrome.

I've included some screenshots below to help describe what's happening.

Looking forward to any advice that comes my way.

When updating Firefox, I my Avast antivirus often pops up with a Threat Secured window: Is there some nefarious code in your updater? I attached a screen grab of the warning window.

Please approve the update to Twitter X Ad Blocker. I've chatted with AldAstra Labs the creator and they have an update but are waiting on Firefox to approve it.

If you experience horizontal lines appearing when scrolling after installing firefox possible fix is finding layers.acceleration.force-enabled and set to true after going to about:config in your address bar search for this and set it to true. My real question I ask myself is, why isn't this enabled by default when installing firefox? I swear I remember doing this last Win 11 install as well. My third time installing windows unfortunately, just had a nvme ssd drive fail on me. 😭😢 Ofc, it had to be my Gen 4, C: drive with my old User account on there as well. :// Lesson learned, always backup important data frequently as desired. :( Oh well, just lost all my saved games and few songs, no big deal I guess.
