Why does Firefox keep deleting all my passwords when I close my laptop
Whenever I open Firefox, I find all my passwords have gone and I have to re-import the csv file. Why is this happening?

All of my saved passwords have disappeared, so I now have to input them all individually. How can I ensure this does not happen again?
How do I edit my password manager?
How can I get a list of my passwords? Thanks so much

I was trying to register with a new website. Firefox suggested dG@5 as the securely generated password, which being only four characters is obviously insecure. Not surprisingly, it wasn't acceptable, as the website required at least eight characters. I tried deleting the password in both fields and trying again, but Firefox kept suggesting the same insecure password. Even after restarting the registration process I was offered the same password. I have used this feature many times previously, and have never had this happen before. Why has this happened? Is there anything that I can do to stop it happening again? Is there anyway that I can force Firefox to come up with a different password if I don't like its first suggestion? And, is Firefox's system really secure, if it does this?

I use Firefox Android and Bitwarden Password Manager.
When I try to generate a passkey for some website Firefox asks me for the device to store the passkey. The only suitable Option is "This Device". When I tap it, i am asked for authentification (Fingerprint). After Authentification the website gives me a success message and the whole process is complete but the passkey isn't stored anywhere.
In every other browser on android I am asked for the entry in Bitwarden where the passkey should be stored. On windows this works with Firefox
Is it intended to work only when passkeys are stored in Firefox itself? At least a hint that it doesn't work with external Password Managers would be helpful - lost passkeys are a pain
I'm unable to edit my password setting I may inadvertently altered the access settings

Why the hell do I have to keep signing in to show my passwords? I do not sign out but yet when I try to sign in to anything that I've used a password before the damn thing is not there. I'm getting disgusted with firefox and I've used it only for many years but you keep screwing around with something that worked fine and now it's all screwed up. I wish you would just leave things alone. I was having a problem with getting my bookmarks and favorites but it appears that has been fixed. I had to delete and re-install farefox several times to get all that back but lately it's staying there.

is there a way to erase all passwords with one click or must they be deleted one by one?

Dear users and support team.
I am now using Zen Browser (based on Firefox) for nearly a month now and loved it ever since. If there was not this one problem, I had, that forced me to switch browsers.
Like in any other browser I have used before, I was able to import and save my passwords from various websites, so that I do not have to remember them fully by myself. I expected, that I could use my fingerprint sensor, or at least my PIN-Code to confirm my passwords, when automatically entering them. However, if i want to log into a website, which requires a password, my password is always automatically, without me ever touching anything entered. So I went into the settings of the browser and toggled the button "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" off. So now they would not pop up automatically anymore and I was happy. This did not last very long however, because, when I wanted to enter the password and authenticate myself before filling in the password by clicking on the pop-up window beneath the password-entering, I can enter my saved passwords without ever scanning my fingerprint reader, typing in my pin or using any other authentication method. I tried various times to change the setting "Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords" from on to off and back again, hoping it would work in some way. I am seriously sad a bit, because I never had a this good and fluid working browser until now. If you cannot help me out here, I see myself forced to use another browser, where I can actually and securely safe my passwords.
Thank you!
How does Mozilla protect saved passwords from being hacked? How does its process compare to the protection of programs like 1Password?

Clinic, each time i created a new password, I went to the password manger "show password" for that site, it was gobbly gook? Then it occurred to me this might be "encryption". Is the password manager now encrypting PW's? OR could it be the Clev. Clinic site doing this? Do you know

A few weeks ago, I started to get repeated messages from Firefox asking me to make Firefox my default browser. Firefox has been my default browser for years, and I have never made anything else my default browser. Anyway, I followed the prompts and re-selected Firefox as my default browser. A little while would go by (sometimes as little as a minute) and I would again get the prompts to select Firefox as my default browser. This append 20 or 30 times. And, every time it happened, all of my saved passwords disappeared, but would reappear when I re-selected Firefox. In the last week, this situation has gotten a lot worse. Now, the saved passwords don't come back. And, the prompt you usually get when entering passwords to a new site offering to save the password doesn't appear any more. So, the only way I can rebuild my saved passwords is to enter them manually, which I am not going to do because it would take a couple of hours and then I'm pretty sure they would all disappear again. Also, I like to go to my homepage when I open a new tab. Can't do that anymore. When I open a new tab, I get a new private browsing window. I have checked all my settings a dozen times, and they are correct. I have combed your support sites and there is nothing there to help me. I don't want to dump Firefox, but I cannot continue with it behaving as it does now. Is there anyone anywhere in your organization who can help me? Thank you.

Hi all.
I suppose this applies as much to Firefox on the desktop as it does to iOS, really.
I'm having real trouble with passwords, now that I've moved over from Safari to Firefox & Apple have seen fit to create a standalone Passwords app. (Life was so much simpler before they did that!)
I have the extension installed, but I'm getting mis-matches between the two (or three if you count the phone, meaning: Passwords App, Firefox Desktop & Firefox iOS).
I suppose the way it should work in my head is that when Firefox asks me if I want to save a password, it should save it to the passwords app (although I have no problem if it saves the password into the Firefox preferences too) & when I go to log in somewhere, it should call the password from the passwords app, but it doesn't seem to be doing that, I'm just getting multiple versions of log-ins everywhere.
I just had to reset my Instagram log-in. Firefox generated the password & it's now saved in the Firefox passwords list but it hasn't appeared in the Passwords app.
Shouldn't the extension be keeping them synchronised?
I would like to know how a password manager is in violation of Mozilla Browser ,, was this an error?,, I do not understand. Can some one inform me of the issue.
