im unable to progress further than this and it wont matter because im not interested in any email service that doesnt have at least and preferably more than 15gb storage like gmail. send reply to- [removed from support forum]

I have been struggling with this problem for about 6 months now and no-one I've asked has been able to help me. Even my computer guru failed me! I think it was after an update about last June when I started having this problem An nothing I've tried has had any effect. I had a Geek Squad guy on the phone with me for about 45 minutes to no effect. He said he'd never seen the problem before. I have business emails on that account so I don't want to risk losing them. Can anyone help me please? Christine

I've been using Thunderbird for years and have never had this problem. Since the upgrade today, after I run Thunderbird once and close it I can no longer start it up again. I have to reboot or use Task Manager to kill it in order to run it. This is on Windows 11. Please help - not an acceptable workaround for long. Optionally, how do I downgrade to previous version? I should know better than allow automatic upgrades.

Adding a couple images below, when it has started successfully it shows as one of the Apps in Task Manager. When I close it, Thunderbird drops into the Background Processes but doesn't end. I have to kill it here in order to start it again.

Hi I am a longtime user of your browser. I have version 124.0.2(64 bit) installed on three devices. First thing I do on opening it is to click on "about", which normally updates the browser, before I do any browsing. In the last three weeks, however, it has not updated on any of the three devices, rather, it says "Failed to check for updates". I have tried the workarounds suggested at your Help center, and nothing has worked. What gives, may I ask? Thank you

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??

1. Sometimes I use the browser while the system is in dark mode.
2. Then I switch system to light mode. FF recognizes it and switches to light mode accordingly.
3. Then I use it in light mode for a little more.
4. Then some time passes (maybe a few hours), I don't use FF during that time.
5. Then, I tap on FF icon, the browser starts, but immediately switches back to dark mode, while the system is still in light mode.
6. I have to close FF by swiping on it in task switcher, and then tap on the app again.
7. FF now uses light/dark theme according to system.

After installing Thunderbird 115.10.0 (64bit) on a WIN 11 system yesterday program does not close fully. It will not restart unless I use Task Manager to delete what is running or else reboot system.

My Thunderbird has been working properly for about 30 years, but now refuses to open. Message received says 'Authentication failed'. This happens repeatedly (for at least 20-30 times) and appears to relate to my password. It suggests 'Retry' or 'Enter new password'. The 'Retry' repeats as before so I check the Saved Passwords and enter the one saved. I get the same message. I am using Version 115 and have been for some time.

Could this be related to a change of Profile? There must be a way to reset the password? I have checked all the settings and no errors appear, all settings confirmed.

I have thought about a Recovery Mode and seem to remember seeing a message that I do have that. I just don't know how to access it.

I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I have tried: Running Firefox in safe mode (Shift + Left Click) Resetting Firefox Switching Back to default themes Disabling hardware acceleration Updating to the latest Beta Build (v126) Running Firefox Developer edition

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.

Hello My Thunderbird failed pop access to my Gmail account, at beginning of month. Any try to fix, and even change from pop to imap don't work. I get the windows as shown i images as result. I don't like see oauth/legacy/consent in the URL. - Change setting in Google from pop to imap - Cookie setting updated as forum suggest - JavaScript true as forum suggest

When the little yellow man is placed on to the map, and a direction arrow is clicked, the view just continues to spin round. Clicking on the 'X' in the top right hand corner terminates street view. This does not happen with other browsers.

My OS is Debian 12, Firefox is the latest version 115.9.1esr (64bit).

I am using Ubuntu 23.10.1 with KDE Plasma desktop environment. Since recently I've been experiencing the following problem with Firfox document viewer: after a period of inactivity, PDFs become unreadable, and seem to cumulate everything that was displayed on screen (see screenshot). Ctrl + F5 does not help, and neither does closing the window and opening a new one with a link to the file. KDE Document Viewer displays the same file correctly.

The integrated webcam (IMC Networks Integrated Camera, according to lsusb) on my linux laptop does not work in firefox (v124). It works in desktop apps (eg webcamoid), and chromium. I've checked the permissions (about:preferences#privacy), and that is not the problem. about:support does not list the device in the input at all. I've tried using LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/libv4l1compat.so, but that has not helped. Does anyone have any suggestions?
