these shortcuts appear on my firefox home page are so annoying here is my setting , i toggle off all shortcuts related to history or sponsored shortcuts but they still pop up each time , i want to disable this feature i need only my selected shortcuts appear on home page what can i do ?

I have used Firefox on my PC for ever (10-15 years). Yahoo was set to be my home page so I can get to my email. Starting 5-6 days ago when I click Mozilla Firefox on my task bar it opens a white (blank) page, no yahoo (but it shows yahoo.com in the address bar). I can go to my book marks and got them or type in a URL and go there OK. But, to see my mail I have to open Google Chrome to get to yahoo and log in. If I'm on Firefox and get the blank screen, then go to another URL from my bookmarks then type in yahoo.com it goes back to a blank screen that shows https://www.yahoo.com/ in the address.

I have two Mac systems, a 2018 Intel Mac Mini, and an M1 2020 MacBook Pro, both running Sonoma 14.7.6. On the Mac Mini, Firefox opens to the familar "Recommended Stories". On the MacBook Pro Firefox opens to a long list of items I'm not the least bit interested in. How do I get the MacBook Pro back to nothing but the "Recommended Stories"? I don't want/need NHL, NFL, NBA,Television, MLB, Pro Soccer, Education, Food, Health, Parenting, etc., etc., etc.

I opened Firefox this morning and all of my pinned shortcuts have disappeared. Shortcuts are enabled in the settings. I checked the browser.newtabpage.pinned pref on the about:config and all of my pinned shortcuts are still there, but they're not appearing on the actual page itself. Are there any other settings that I'm not aware of?

I have left Shortcuts toggled on, since I want to see the 18 shortcuts that I have manually pinned. Fine so far.

I have unchecked Sponsored Shortcuts, but I still am seeing sponsored shortcuts added to my dashboard whenever I open a new article. What am I doing wrong?

All of a sudden (after a recent update I suppose) every time I start to type anything in the "search" in the middle of my "home" screen, the curser jumps to the address space in the toolbar. I hate that! I want to continue to use search in the middle of the screen as I have for years since I started using browsers. I've tried looking at the setting for "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar" and it is set to "false" as was recommended in another post some years ago. What do I have to do to revert back to the way it was before this change was forced on me?

Some of the links in the attached image I added. Others that I added have disappeared and have been replaced randomly by Firefox.

Over the last couple of months, Firefox has automatically added Favorites to my home screen. If I delete one of these another replaces it.

Where do I go to stop this?

I had to remove the Recommended stories from the home page. every source was a left leaning outlet. How is someone supposed to get a balanced news snapshot if all the sources have the same biased tilt?

I have several machines, and a few of them will open firefox just fine, the browser starts and displays the new tab home page. But others will open to a null tab, nothing is there.

What's broken with the blank tab machines?

I've looked over all the possible settings for the home screen and they're the same on all the platforms.

Following a recent Firefox update, 1.48.0 I think, the search box in the middle of the page no longer works, any attempt to type there ends up in the address bar. I have tried setting "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar" to false and other suggested fixes on the internet but it made no difference. I am running Windows 11 Pro, fully updated. Hope you can help Regards Keith

i noticed every websites that i visited or some links just suggested are appeared in my firefox homepage i selected only shortcuts in setting which i expect to see only shortcuts that i added manually but its just more shortcuts pop up each time i open the new window on my home page this is really annoying and , its not necessary at all , i dismissed them manually but they just pop up again please can you report this issue to be fixed on next release ?

I switched to Firefox yesterday, and it keeps adding some sites that I visited more than once to my shortcuts, and there is no option to disable it. I can only disable all shortcuts, and I don't wanna do that. I just wanna have MY SHORTCUTS. It's literally the most basic feature that ALL BROWSERS HAVE. WHY CAN'T I HAVE MY OWN SHORTCUTS? If there is really no way to have ONLY MY SHORTCUTS, I'm switching to Edge.

IT HAS BECOME VERY FRUSTRATING TO USE MY HOME PAGE WITH THE LITTLE BOX FOR EACH WEB SITE I GO TO REGULARLY. IF I CLICK ON THE ONE FOR MY BANK, MULTIPLE ONES ARE APPEARING WHEN I GET OUT OF THE SITE. CAN I GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION? I AM ON WINDOWS 10. I SELECTED AN ITEM IN YOUR TOPICS SELECTION, BUT I DID ONLY SO I CAN CONTINUE AND SUBMIT MY QUESTION. NONE OF THE TOPICS SEEM TO FIT MY SITUATION. I AM ALSO RECEIVING ADVERTISING LITTLE BOXES. HOW DO I STOP THAT/ I NEVER HAD THESE ISSUES WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION. THANK YOU.
