I have been trying all week to figure out how to export all of my contacts from my gmail account. I have downloaded Thunderbird and followd the step to export all emails. But, now what? I can't do the simple export contacts through adddress book, because there were no saved contacts in their to begin with. How do I export the addresses in the emails so that I can use those contacts to export into CSV????

I'am unable to add new contact to address book. I enter all the details but there is no "SAVE" button to apply. I have uninstalled and re- installed several times but the panel to add a new contact still has no SAVE button. I've istalled from Thunderbird official site and Microsoft. I have run in Trouble Shooting Mode, but still same problem. What's going on ????????????? Brian

I tried installing the new release and lost my address book. It's on my mobile phone but not in my computer thunderbird. how do I get it from my phone to my computer?

I have used Thunderbird for years on my desktop computer with a gmail account. I have many "Contacts" in my Address Book.

 I recently added Thunderbird to a new laptop computer.  The laptop Thunderbird does not "see" my contacts or address book.

. . . . I am not going to re-create my entire Address Book in the laptop by re-typing thousands of contacts!!!!!!!

I'm aware David replyed to me. Usually if I uninstall Thunderbird and reinstall thunderbird, my addresses are usually there, but this didn't happen this time. My folders weren't loading correctly so I thought TB may be currupt, so I felt it may be worthwhile uninstalling and reinstalling, but may be the worst idea unless there is a way to get the contacts back. I think it's pretty straight forward, what I hope for a goal or at least learn why my address contacts did not load. Usually I download TB from the Mozilla TB site, but it sceems necessary to get the app from the microsoft store. It just sceems like the address book recovery services are not there, so I need a older version.

I have tried to add this address to my address book. Normally, one clicks on the icon and a pop-up appears to modify information and confirm entry into address book. This address always shows up as "not in book," clicking has no apparent effect, until one checks the address book and now duplicates exist.

When this bug first appeared I had clicked on the icon multiple times, and multiple entries appeared in address book. I deleted them all, tried again, bug still happens.

I had to get a new laptop for widows 11 as my old one could not upgrade from windows 10. I trasferred my old laptop to new, but when I downloaded new Thunderbird, my address books did not come over. Where are they and how can I import them to my new laptop? I do not know what version Mozilla Tb that i was using. Please help

I just installed Thunderbird 140 for mac and it seems that it does not see the macos address book. Therefore the addresses do not auto complete when writing a new email.

I use Thunderbirt ad my e-mail client on home desktop, and Mail app on iPHone and iPad. I add or update "Contacts" in iPhone - the changes do NOT appear in my Thunderbird "Address Book".

How can I "synch" my Thunderbird and Gmail contacts so I only have to enter info in one and have it appear in the other?

I just installed Thunderbird on a new computer. I hadn't used Thunderbird in some time. I can't seem to add ANY remote address books. There is an option to add an address book account. When I click on it, I get a dialogue box which lists several options which get highlighted whenever I mouse over then, however, when I click on ANY of the options, nothing happens.

How, then, can I add a CardDav address book to this?
