There's an issue with Android Firefox where a tab sometimes just suddenly freezes and there's nothing I can do to unfreeze it. I cleared cache, restarted the app, refreshes the page and nothing works. The only thing I can do is to copy the link, close the tab, and open the link on a new tab.

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

Android 13 Tablet

I have TB for Android set up and working. This is a lw end tab for my needs away from home.

I have set up mail identities as well as signatures fo r3 accounts I am working with for personal, hobby, and business. So far it is working fine.

However, today I attempted to add a second identity to one of the Gmail accounts which TB on my Windows 11 system allows, but on the Android version it is not allowing a 2nd identity on any of the accounts.

Is this a bug or something reserved for the premium, version. There is no pop up or other indication telling me otherwise. The "Save" icon is just grayed out. I also scanned this forum and was not immediately able to get anything on this item.

For years, I've been using FF on desktop (Linux), tablet (Android) and phone (Android - Samsung S24+). Sync has never been a problem until two weeks ago when FF on the phone has either refused to sync when I tapped the command, or hasn't synced for many hours or sometimes days (which is why I tried to do it manually). So, I signed out of my FF account on all 3 devices and then signed back in. The desktop computer and tablet are syncing normally, but the phone still won't sync. When I tap the 3-dot menu on the phone and then my name, it says the phone has NEVER been synced and tapping the sync command does nothing. Under "Choose what to sync", all options are checked, but greyed out. Can't change them, in other words. When I access bookmarks on the phone, it properly shows what was there before the last sync. The phone is running FF version 150.0 Build 2016155439

Hi, I have a Yahoo account in Thunderbird. Every time I try to create a folder, it doesn't appear immediately. I have to close Thunderbird and reopen it to see the new folder on my folder list. This doesn't happen with other email accounts, like Gmail or NetworkSolutions, only with Yahoo.

Thank you for any information on how to correct it, or whether other people are having the same problem.

Before facebook using reCAPTCHA I can easily logo in my Facebook and Instagram account, but now I always failed to pass the reCAPTCHA， I report this to Meta no good reply. Only today I did the reCAPTCHA and then got a reminder that facebook cannot detect the reCAPTCHA. I still cannot logo on to my facebook and instagram account due to reCAPTCHA. How can I solve this problem. Thx

It is been like 6 or 7 months now since i move to new pc and i been using firefox in this new pc together with other browsers. I am not really using firefox for anything related to google or gmail but just other website that have 0 relation to them. But i have still logged in my main accounts in firefox. It is been twice that once in a while, when i have to check my gmail accounts, all of them disappear and all i see is just sign in page only. There is no log in again or Please log in to this address or that address but straight up fresh page of google sign in page. I still logged back in when it first happened because i heard about the bug that happened with firefox update but now it happen again. It is as if my cookies just vanished but no, other sites still got their own cookies and there is many cache of other website here. other than my google accounts. What is happening here. Is my firefox bugged or something? Should i reinstall and have to relogin everything "again?"

The create new account process does not work, because it forces you to go through the whole (manual) process which then fails because you cannot select the Oauth option from Authentication method dropdown box - because its not there !.

fails at Step 2 because it does not let you complete to then go to Step 3 - because the account is never created !

I've completed all the required information when trying to add an account to Thunderbird. The Account Hub finds my email address at Posteo and loads the configuration found out the provider. I then add my password, which I know to be correct as I've only just created it. But Thunderbird keeps telling me there is an "authentication error". I'm at a loss to know what the error is.

I have grouped several tabs, I believe there were 3 groups in total. When I close Firefox and open it again at a later time, the grouped tabs are gone, but I was able to retrieve the groups by right clicking and selecting the hidden group.

Ever since the new update, the groups dissolve when I close Firefox and I can not open them again. The Edge Browser has it implemented such that groups stay, so when you close and open the browser, they stay greyed out on the side bar.

So, is this just a problem with my device, the new update or Firefox in general?

It would be really nice if this problem could be solved, such that I can keep groups even after closing the browser. And I can delete groups only when I want to.

When I'm in Calendar, I see a certain time interval, depending on screen size. In the first example below, it goes from 07:00 to 21:00. When I toggle between Calendar and Email tabs (using shift+tab or by mouse-clicking) and back to Calendar, the time interval now shows 06:15-20:15. (second image) If I toggle once more, it starts at 05:15, and so on, it goes back one hour after each toggle, until it reaches 00:15. This is very annoying because I have to constantly toggle between Email and Calendar, so the Calendar is more and more shifted and I have to move it manually to keep working. I haven't seen this bug described before. Do other people experience it? Any solutions?

After updating Firefox to a newer version, some websites that previously worked on the older version started displaying **"Page Not Secure"** and **"Page Expired"** errors, preventing them from loading correctly.

Today i moved mails between folders. The move was successful, as confirmed by the webmailer. However Thunderbird stopped displaying these messages. Instead i got several popups, that the server is not available.

I have 2 issues with that:

First: Popups are disruptive. Especially when they block interaction with Thunderbird. Especially when using a tiling windowmanager(sway). Especially when there are multiple, which need to be closed in a specific order, because interaction is blocked by the newer popups.

How can i block these popups? Disable sync is not a reasonable option.

Second: Why did thunderbird not display the moved messages? Is it a bug? Or a config issue?

I have been told to disable my ad-blocker by some commercial web sites and I understand that. But I am also not seeing charts and other non-ad items on web sites such as this one: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/alcohols-health-myth-over-how-tell-patients-2026a1000map?ecd=wnl_tp10_daily_260703_MSCPEDIT_etid8475291&uac=146695DK&impID=8475291. I don't want to change my default browser but this is a recent development that seems to be impairing my viewing of pertinent items placed on legitimate web sites. Hello, yesterday my 2025 Macbook restarted on it's own and my Firefox browser restarted too, and while it brought me back to all the tabs I had open, every single one of my bookmarks has disappeared. I only have one profile. All my extensions are working properly. The bookmarks sidebar and toolbar are both completely wiped clean. I've tried to go through the backup and restore options provided in this community previously, but going into my library and clicking 'backup' or 'restore' has done nothing. How can I recover my bookmarks? I had been saving small business links for years that are now just gone for seemingly no reason.
