Im using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Intel cpu I7 9th gen NVIDIA gpu but i disabled it My problem is that the Picture in Picture mode isnt sticky if i press anything it vanishes from view.

Have used Thunderbird for 10+ years, as interface to Gmail. Lovely product. 3 days ago I had to reinstall a station but when Thunderbird does its updating after reconnecting to gmail address for the 10GB of emails, it behaves damn irregular: - periodic freezes of mouse and keyboard, for about 0.3 seconds every 3 to 5 seconds. - Thunderbird message says downloading email number out of total number of emails (very slowly advancing) but every 3 seconds it starts downloading email 1 of those emails - station has cumulated some 20 hours working, most of these left to finish syncronizing. Usually in 2 - 3 hours there is time enough.

This happens only when Thunderbird runs, when I close it the station runs fine. Same hardware on the station as before..

I am using Thunderbird to connect to a personal POP & SMTP server. I have recently migrated to a new desktop and moved the old profile folder to the new computer (so I would keep all the emails). Everything was transferred successfully, including the profile settings.

When I open Thunderbird, I am asked for my password and it all goes well if I enter it manually. If I check the "Use Password Manager to remember this password" box, I am met with a "User to server X with username and password failed" - error and a "Sending of password for user did not succeed" - error. I am entering the exact same password in both cases, yet it only fails when I try to save it.

Thunderbird suddenly stopped working today,, can not receive emails or send emails. I can log directly into web client and emails are sitting there have confirmed settings with my hosting company and everything is working their end they have also confirmed the settings are correct in Thunderbird

I’m having a problem very similar to the one described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421173 from last year. Ever since the version 127.0 update from last week, all my private tabs are GONE. My regular tabs, including inactive tabs, are fine but more than 40 private tabs were lost (and I’m pissed because the nature of what those tabs were makes them very difficult to go re-find). Now, anything I open as a private tab vanishes if I leave the app for more than just a moment, even if I left it open to that tab. It makes the private browsing function effectively unusable for anything I’m not gonna just sit down and do in one sitting.

I don’t expect my 40+ lost tabs recovered, it’s a pain but it’ll be fine, but the function issue is NOT fine and needs to be fixed!

I have noticed a few websites will go to blank pages. Today, while trying to log into my Microsoft account, I was able to enter the login id and then the password, but when I went to enter the website I arrived at a blank page. I tried the control-shift-R fix, from this website, but it was of no value.

I have been configured my Gmail account in Mozilla thunderbird client version 115.12.0 in Windows 11 system. Have been receiving an error message frequently as below "Unable to write email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write Privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox."

System has enough space and memory and please advise.

How can I change the defalt filename of inserted image from clipboard? I use firefox with local interface language but I don't want it to influence on filename of inserted images. I don't wanna give any clues in work chats, forums etc. which language I use in my browser.

When I open a bookmark folder and right-click on the 7th item down I cannot select Open in New Tab because the context menu is jammed up against the top of the screen (I believe it is called the Title Bar where resides the date and some of the system menus,) and the Open in New Tab at the top of the context menu is present, will not highlight and cannot be selected with the mouse.

Hi, I am thinking about buying a new phone and wanted to know if i get a new phone and download firefox/mozilla and sign in with my id and pw will all the collections that i currently have in firefox at this time going to be a available to me on the new phone after downloading the current version of firefox? at the top of the page, i get a window that says "This page is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser, stop this page. Then it has a box with the word STOP in it.

   what the heck is this and how do i make it go away?  I push the button that says stop, but it starts right up again

I did search for solution before posting this. Couldn't find any recent fixes. Using Version 115.10.1 I have used Thunderbird for years to get various emails. Including 2 different att.net emails. Until about 2 days ago, this has been working well. All of a sudden I keep getting the popup to login with my password. I looked at the password file to see what was being used. Hasn't been updated for years. I used web browser to login to att.net account, confirmed that the pw listed in Thunderbird was correct. I looked at my att account and found that I setup a secure key in 5/21. Not sure what has changed that I can no longer use thunderbird for att emails. Note: I deleted the account from thunderbird and attempted to re-establish the connection.. I used the automated process that TB had for the settings. got an error using the regular password AND using the secure key. I tried setup manually, making sure that the inbound/outbound settings matched. Still won't let me login. Something has had to have changed.

I am no longer able to send/receive messages in Thunderbird. Sending of password failed and login failed. I tried changing my password, but that did not help. This happened on 6/16/24 in the evening.

When I try to view my pictures... Firefox has started to ask, every time... "how do I want to view this JPG file.

I must choose, Firefox, Internet explorer and so forth. I choose Firefox and it opens.

BUT.....

How do I get this message to STOP.... every blasted time I click on my pictures.

There's some stuff in the "about:config" that someone changed from true to false... I think...

When using Firefox to access Hulu Hulu does not accept my password though it does let me reset my password. I CAN access Hulu using DuckDuckGo and IE. Have not been able to get through to Hulu.

I invited someone to an appointment, but screwed up the repetition parameters. I then cancelled that appointment.

The person I invited accepted the original (screwed up) appointment but did not process any emails to cancel the meetings. How can they edit / delete appointments that they did not themselves set up? You can see how messed up the calendar is with the erroneous entries...

Can you tell me why gmail is recently (within the past 2 months) showing that Firefox has authorized access to my gmail account? It is sometimes showing up as accessing the account minutes before I even log in. It never did this before, but I use a security key to access my gmail account--could this be causing it? The security key mfr says there is no way it can be the key causing this and suggested contacting Firefox. I have reinstalled Firefox and the same thing happens. I have never given Firefox or any other application access to my gmail account. Thank you for any answers you can provide.
