My elderly client has enabled a “my tasks” sidebar in Gmail. He does not know how to turn it off. I have searched for an answer and have been unable to find one. Ctrl+B is not helpful and doesn’t bring up a screen where it says sidebar. Please help! He keeps asking about it and I am a caregiver, not a computer technician…

I've followed all the recommendations. Problem still happens in troubleshooting mode as well. Doesn't allow sign in either. Have reloaded all C++, uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted. No links or pages will open.

hello when i write many cell code in google colab and then run all of them when output there and i want to scroll up from last cell code to go to top of page,i have lagging for scroll up in that and this problem just in firefox and in chrome is'nt problem thanks

I've noticed that when logging into various websites, a random email address not known to me appears in autofill among my usual email addresses. This unfamiliar address is under the @shanreto.com domain and shows up across different websites. My Firefox account is synced between my PC and mobile phone. Both devices are password-protected and under my control at all times, and I have only installed uBlock Origin as an extension.

Could there be any explanation other than the possibility of someone accessing one of my devices through malicious software or similar means?

I've been using TB for years with an AT&T account on a Windows 10 desktop. Two days ago all was working well sending and receiving. I stepped away for an hour (without obvious updates or changes) and surprisingly it didn't work, with TB asking for a password but not accepting it. I deleted saved passwords and tried multiple times, even changing my AT&T email password twice. I could access the email account directly through the AT&T website using those passwords.

I spoke with an AT&T support rep and he had me delete the account in TB. I did so but now can't reestablish it. I've repeatedly tried to add a new email account using credentials I know are correct, trying numerous POP3 and IMAP protocols, all without success. When TB probes the AT&T servers it says it finds those parameters, but then when it checks the password it fails, simply giving the vague message "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password."

I've spent two days researching this problem and trying proposed solutions such as disabling firewalls and anti-virus programs, clearing Windows and internet caches, deleting saved passwords, etc. I was able to set up the account using Outlook on this computer, and if this continues I'll unfortunately be forced to abandon TB and move to Outlook or similar as a substitute. Advice would be appreciated!

bold textExperienced Firefox browser session freezes a month or two ago. It seemed that some March/April '24 fixes/patches stabilized the app. They are occurring again with increased frequency. What should I do to avoid this problem or switching to another browser? Thx

My "recovery.jsonlz4" file from a previous install will not reopen my previous session (tabs) after the new installation.

Before deleting my previous installation of Firefox (for a clean install), I did two things: I created a restore point, and I did a backup of my old data.

The data consists of: bookmarks-2024-05-10.json

These folders: C:\Users\[machinename]\AppData\Local C:\Users\[machinename]\AppData\Roaming C:\Computer Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution C:\Program Data\Mozilla-1de4eexxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

Within "Roaming" I have Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default-release\sessionstore-backups

In that sessionstore-backup, I have a "recovery.baklz4" (most recent session, I'm guessing) and three others that look like "upgrade.jsonlz4-2024xxxxxxxxxxx

With Firefox closed, I took a copy of "recovery.baklz4" (745 KB) and pasted it into the current sessionstore-backups file, then I changed the file to "recovery.jsonlz4".

I thought that when I reopened Firefox, my previous tabs would appear. They didn't. So, I went to the menu, then to History, and clicked on Recover Previous Session. That didn't do anything either. And it reduced the size of the *.jsonlz4 file from 745 KB to 6 KB.

I'm not sure what I've done wrong. Can you help me out?

Had all my emails stored locally. Accidentally uninstalled Thunderbird. Reinstalled. Unable to Import my old settings from my "profile". Error message says "Unexpected error" Was able to import configuration alone, but it was all wrong. Can't set up my gmail account. Error message "Malformed server" Please help

When I watch a video not in the full screen mod, the colors are as dark as they're supposed to be (pic 1), but when I enter the full screen mod, the video gets pale/brigher (pic2, compare the dark zones). it's fully connected with hardware acceleration. When it's on videos get pale and when it's off they don't. But I can't turn it off because I also need it for an addon I use as it won't work without it. Someone on the forum here said that turning on layers.force-active might help with a bug of hardware acceleration. I turned it on and it helped - acceleration was on and videos didn't get pale, but then everything got back and now this setting doesn't work anymore. I also opened trouble shooting mode and videos didn't get pale with it even with acceleration on, but I don't know why, becaues when I closed it I deleted all the extensions, turned on acceleration and videos got pale again. And, this problem is only in this browser. This problem really keeps my up at night and I'm so tired of it

The inbox had about 18 months worth of emails. I deleted three emails that had been flagged by Thunderbird as spam. Then I went to the trash folder and permanently deleted the trash that included many other unwanted emails.

When I returned to the inbox, the full list of emails was present but after clicking on any email there was no email content shown. A new email came in and the content was shown for that email.

The sent folder still shows all the sent emails.

After looking for solutions on the web, I selected the inbox, right clicked and opened properties. I then selected "Repair Folder". Now, the only email shown in the list is the new email that came in after the issues started.

I have looked for crash reports and it says there are no crash reports.

This seems to be caused by Firefox. I don't have this problem with Edge, Chrome or Opera

Long ago I used to never have to hit F5 to see today's version of a page instead of the cached version, and I do NOT want to clear cache or cookies or history on exit, no, that's not the setting I'm looking for, thanks.

When photos, videos, or websites are linked on a FB comment, it used to display a thumbnail preview below the comment. Now it just shows the link. On mobile, the preview appears. So I'm thinking a setting got changed on the desktop version.

Does anyone know what the issue is and how to correct?

I used to have no problem opening messages.google.com/web/conversations to link my messages to my Pixel phone. Just recently the site will not open in Firefox. Not an error message, it just won't open the page.

Thunderbird email setup settings don't work with office365 server in godaddy email. Their server wants STARTTLS with port 993. When I select STARTTLS in Thunderbird setup, the port changes automatically to port 143. This I can't connect to godaddy's IMAP mail server using Thunderbird email client. Is there a way to make it happen?
