Hello all I just started my thunderbird after years of outlook. And I have donated money I hope this helps to keep this alive. With recent 2FA changes I have had to move here. it is years of old emails and for now I am getting them to review later.

But everyone seems nice here.

When I am downloading I notice limits on number of messages in one mailbox in Thunderbird. One mailbox is everything inside one email username right?

Sometimes it stops at 10, 000 Is the limit based on thunderbird or the email server I am getting my emails from ???

After SUSE-15.6 updated FIREFOX to 115.11.0esr, all sites show choppy videos. I have no idea why or what I can do to resolve the issue. If someone has an idea, it would be greatly appreciated

Hyperlinked text does not paste into Thunderbird email. Only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks do not. If I paste in text that has several hyperlinks already embedded only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks are lost. I must paste the hyperlinked text with the URLs. How do I do this. All searches are irrelevant. I know hot to insert URL into new text but that is not the issue. My text to be pasted already has many hyperlinks in the text and I do not want to laboriousness do them all again. When I paste in a paragraph of test that already has several hyperlinks I want that ALL to past in. How to I do this?

On my PC's Firefox wont connect to my work servers"DQS Worldwide". I have tried to connect to,"auditcenter.dqsus.com". The page times out and wont connect. It works with Opera and Yandex but not fire fox. I have tried to connect in Michigan,California and Europe. Can you fix this issue so that I can connect to "auditcenter.dqsus.com" and use Firefox. Cox has moved its email from its servers to Yahoo and while the "cox.net" stays the same I am not able to get my email through Thu Thunderbird as there are 2 places in the account Server settings that need to be changed, 1) Server name, and 2) Local Directory. I have had no luck in changing either as I really don't know what to put in either one. HELP11

Hello, I was using Firefox to read my email at privateemail.com. When I attempted to save one of the emails to my Macbook (using an option in the window displaying the email), Firefox launched Apple Mail on my MacOS system. Apple Mail opened up with the email in one of its windows.

That is not the way it worked in the past. When picking "save to computer" in the web-mail interface, Firefox would open a SaveAs dialog box and allow me to directly save the mail to my computer.

I tested this behavior using Safari instead of Firefox, and that behaved as I expected. That is, Safari opened a SaveAs dialog box for me to use.

Is there a configuration parameter that was changed in a recent Firefox update? I am running FF 126.0 on MacOS 14.4.1.

I changed my BT email password but cannot send emails from Thunderbird. I can receive them. I receive this message - Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.btinternet.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'. I have checked my outgoing server settings which are -

My BT email works fine for both receiving and sending so the problem is with Thunderbird outgoing mail settings

Cox has recently given their email to yahoo. While the cox.net email works on yahoo mail when I tried to configure my cox.net email address on tbird mail it failed Will my cox.net email address once again work on tbird mail Thank you

TB 115.8.0.1, Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 Over the years my Address Book has acquired many separate entries for the same individual, with two or more (obsolete) email addresses, for example. Also, one with email address only, and another with phone number, plus various pieces of contact data in one or both cards. If there is a way to compare, choose correct data, and combine contact files, I can't find it. If not, I'd like to propose an enhancement. Thank you.

Hello, I own and operate my own business in the automotive repair sector however my direct computer knowledge is not sufficient in many cases. My issue is that my Gmail and Thunderbird is linked to send messages to my clients for estimate purposes. Incoming mail to Gmail as well as outgoing from Gmail gets copied into Thunderbird. Assuming that Thunderbird had so many emails on the screen I asked the internet on how to do a mass email delete. Now I assume "that" is the reason why all my labels/folders are now empty I can both Gmail and Thunderbird? These folders held important invoices, contact information and just important information for me to go back into should a situation require it. How do I recover all of my deleted messages in Thunderbird? Will this repopulate the folders with my missing information?? The individual who set it up for me is an expert in the field however I am unable to make any contact with him. He's not responding to any of my messages or calls. Please help. Now please remember I am very ignorant when it comes to this type of experience. Please provide me with the most elementary explanations for this recovery process. I've migrated to Firefox from Chrome and am getting everything as close as possible to my Chrome setup. This is a usability issue when I zoom on an image, that has a larger version. Chrome allows me to zoom to the full extent of the image, but Firefox screen shakes and doesn't allow the same detail. Screen recording and links below.

Hi,

There are login pages that have saved usernames I want to clear but am unable to. I have gone to settings. Under passwords I have everything unchecked. I have examined "Saved passwords" and it is showing "No passwords saved". I have tried with all of the Passwords options checked and unchecked but I all ways see"No passwords saved". Please help.

When I try to download messages on one of several POP3 accounts I get the error message Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. and it keeps downloading the last message I received before the problem started.

I have tried repairing the folder, clearing cache and even turning off my anti-virus for Thunderbird but to no avail. No problems on my other accounts

Thanks guys for screwing up my day with your latest update. I used to be able to download a .pdf and opening it in my ,pdf reader. I NEED to do this for tax reconciliation purposes. Now your crappy program has decided to open .pdfs in itself and I cant get a downloaded copy any more. What the hell was the programmer thinking? Yes I have gone to Applications and checked that it is set to my .pdf reader. Please fix this before I get fined by the tax office.

Good news For some months now, I have stayed on a much earlier version of 115. Today I updated to the latest available... no issues arising so I happily conclude that Tbird is stable.
