I have used Thunderbird for years without issue. In the last 2 days, it keeps crashing on one of my laptops (fine on the other). I sent a crash report, but I can't reopen Thunderbird. I tried both quitting and restarting. I shut down my computer and restarted it. I tried updating by downloading the latest version, but that didn't work either. I completely uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and it worked for a few hours. Now, it is back to the Crash Report.

Any suggestions? I love TB and don't want to switch to something else.

I have had to reinstall Windows 10 on my PC and have lost my mail.com email account with Firefox. (Walsingham@post.com)

It is still on my laptop, but I need it on my PC.

I do not understand the difference between Firefox and mail.com and mozilla.

If you can give me a link to restore my email account I would be most grateful.

Assisting a friend - she is viewing and composing her emails from thunderbird utilising her gmail account amongst others. Occasionally clicking on the required email reveals a blank message and no attachment if there is one. This randomly happens for inbox and sent messages.

Have used Thunderbird for years Have an IMAP gmail account. On opening up this morning all the folders in Thunderbird with ALL my important emails have gone. Is there any chance of retrieving them? In hope Uwe

Thunderbird says it cannot download email to my mailbox. Plenty of cache space. Plenty of disk space. The local service provider server is not the problem. I can send but not receive. Any ideas?

I keep getting this message when replying to email... Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.mail.yahoo.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'.

I'm also always asked to enter my password when getting email, but then it's not accepted. The emails do continue to come in, bu=t I can't reply.

I'm now using your android version. I'm a bit disappointed, there's still no contact management. A contactless email program...how stupid! Are you planning to do it soon?

The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.bbgalle.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Recently, after a number of years, the format of my correspondence/From as changed by including the e-mail address. Please advise why this has happened and how I get rid of it. I don't want the address to be shown.

Dear developers, I have been using Thunderbird for many years. Yesterday, the version was updated to 128. However, the 2nd search bar appears to be missing. I generally dont use the search bar on top but the smaller one, where I see a list of all emails based on the search items without opening a new window. The Quick filter search bar opens a new window and its not really effective for me to search for emails.

Is there a way to get the old search bar back?

I am still paying for websites, just to keep my emails going but it sure is expensive with it being personal now. I don't store my emails with the current host, they just play middleman, receive the emails and ship them off to my Thunderbird. I store them on my computer and my external harddrive. Can you tell me how either I can host my own emails or a really reasonable priced email host? I don't want to loose these emails. The ones that mostly got used by the businesses have been dissolved. But the ones we are getting personal emails threw, we want to keep. Please advise.... thank you for your time and dedication to helping. Judi

How can I make a setup so that all emails that go into the inbox in the future are forwarded to our financial system mail? And I want to ask if, just like in Outlook, you I make a rule so that certain emails are forwarded?
