I have successfully added 4 email accounts in Thunderbird (on Mac) 144.0.1 but I am having issues with an account on the Ionos server. Basically Thunderbird's automatic account adder is unable to find the domain and just shows a spinning wheel. I'm fine adding trhe account manually, but I cannot find any way of by-passing the automated system. Help please! Thanks David
I get this error message now and again and I cannot find the Advance IMAP Server Settings. Can someone tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

I just added a new email server to handle my mail. It is a local hosting company that I use. I already have another email address with them. When I added the new account I noticed that the Sent and Drafts folders were missing under the 'Inbox'. Image 1 shows how the existing email account is setup with the drafts, sent and Junk folders under Inbox. The image 2 shows how the new account is showing up, no drafts or sent folders.
I am subscribed to them all.
How to get the Drafts and Sent folders under Inbox?

Hi, I am unable to add another email account. I go to "Add email account", an "Account Hub Add your email address window" opens. I enter my name and the email address and press "Continue". A message "Looking up configuration" appears, then the box dims and a spinning circle appears. That's it. It doesn't go any further. I've tried closing out, rebooting, installing the most recent version of Thunderbird to no avail.
I can't access my emails or use the program. When I log in The screen is empty and asks to update my account settings

But when I enter the password, it says "Could not create account" due to an authentication error. It says that either the name or password is incorrect,and I can't finish creating the account.

Every few minutes Mozilla Thunderbird interrupts my work by posting a pair, one after the other, of a request to grant access to my Google account. See screen-save image attached. It pretends to give me the choice of "Allow" or "Deny", but when I click "Deny" it simply waits a few minutes and then comes back again. This is insulting and frustrating. How do I make it stop? (Other than clicking "Allow", that is, as I DO NOT WANT to grant access for the list of dangerous purposes provided in the pop-up.) Thank you.

Trying to add new accounts to thunderbird is not working. i input name and email, then the window grays out, the loading icon appears and it just stays like that forever. While this is happening, i am not able to do anything else in thunderbird. and i never get to the point where i copuld input imap settings manually, or input the password. And after verifying, it does this with only some providers or emails like IONOS which is a very big provider....

I had a school gmail account that was on my thunderbird program. After I graduated and the school deleted that account, thunderbird kept giving me a gmail pop-up to log into that account. I've gone to the settings to try and remove it, but the account email doesn't show up there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but didn't have any luck. Does anyone know how I can stop getting that popup?

I'm having a bit of an issue with moving emails between my accounts in Thunderbird, and I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what I'm doing wrong.
When I move an email from one account (let's call it the source) to another (the destination), it seems to only move it locally on my computer. The email appears in the destination folder, but it never actually gets deleted from the source account's server.
If I click on the inbox of the source account again, Thunderbird just re-syncs with the server and downloads the same email all over again. In my mind, when I "move" something, it should be gone from the original location. It feels more like a "copy and then forget to delete" situation.
I'm trying to figure out how to make the "move" action permanent. I want the email to be completely removed from the source account when I move it, not just hidden on my local client until the next sync.
Is there a setting I'm missing, or is this just how Thunderbird handles moving emails between accounts? It's making it a real headache to keep my inboxes organized.
