Bought a new windows 11 ASUS laptop. Trying to install an HTML bookmark file from older windows 10 ASUS laptop. When I execute the HTML file import on my new ASUS windows 11 laptop, nothing happens. Even found and removed the "block protection" in the HTML file.

Why am I unable to import a firefox bookmark HTML file?

Thanks for any solutions anyone can provide.

Sling tv streaming warns that other browsers except Chrome, Edge, or Safari may be problematic when using their service. I updated Firefox and then attempted to access Sling, video was fine but no audio or at best audio was intermittent. Both Chrome and Safari are working fine, but I would much rather use Firefox for all my browsing ! Are there any plans to create a fix for this?

I will be to-the-point: Firefox 109.0 has forced the "extensions" icon (a puzzle piece) on my Bookmarks toolbar.

(1) I do not wish for it to appear there (2) I am not given the possibility to remove it from the "Customise toolbar" screen

Please assist.

Several times now when I access my banking site and export data, the exported data is not correct. Sometimes columns are missing or columns are in the wrong order. One time even the display showed missing columns. Another example is when I look up a stock quote, sometimes the numbers from previous days are displayed. Troubleshooting with the site manager we found if I cleared cache and cookies, the problem went away. Everything works for several days, then the problem reappears.

Clearing the cookies is simple enough but then I have to be re-verified on all of the sites that require such and that becomes a real pain. (ie. We are sending you a text, please enter the number to continue)

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge both work fine with this site. Please don't make me switch but I will if this continues.

I upgraded Firefox to 109.0 on OpenSUSE Linux today as an update. Firefox no longer plays videos. Chrome is still playing the videos, so the codecs are on my machine. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I love Firefox but it has a market share of just around 7% and is even lower than Edge (which is terrible IMO). Chrome has the most users at around 65%.

Although Firefox is a much better browser, the perception for many is that Chrome is better due to much faster browser loading. I have Chrome and Firefox installed on Windows 11 with the same extensions and Chrome loads my home page in 2 sec whereas Firefox takes 7 sec to load. Even after deleting all cookies, cache and web history, Firefox still takes 7 sec to load my home page.

It's great to prioritize security, flexibility etc and I love these aspects of Firefox, but by not doing something to improve the awful loading times, you are leaving users with the impression that Firefox is inferior and LOSING the browser battle.

When I created my account FF did not prompt me for the login information. When I return to the site FF does not respond to the login request. I have been using FF for years and never had it not respond to login request. I do not receive any errors

I just noticed this today.

I checked on multiple Youtube pages. It's occurring with both Firefox and Chrome, but Brave and android are not affected.

I don't have a channel, but I tried enabling the YouTube setting "allow comments", but no help.

Also,

Cleared cookies and cache, and it doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not.

I have several YouTube theme/behavior related apps, that are also installed on Brave, I disabled them, but nothing changed.

So I just updated to version 109.0 of Firefox, and I spotted something new in the thing. I see something called 'extensions' right next to the icon for open applications menu. I tried to drag this into the list of things you could hide in the customize toolbar section and there seems to be no way to remove it via right click either. Can someone help here?

I'm including an image of the icon in a screenshot, with a red box indicating the icon/tab/whatever in question.

I contacted my bank to find out why their site no longer worked with Firefox and they had me refresh my Firefox settings, and now I'm not able to log in to certain pages using my passwords. The login pages say either my username or password is incorrect but they're not. When I click on "Forgot password" and give my email address, it says they'll send me an email to reset my password, but the email never comes.

How can I get my old settings back?

HI, i deleted my firefox while cleaning up, had 2 downloaded for some reason. All of my toolbar and saved stuff is gone! I thought it had it synced but its going to my old email at a company i dont work for anymore. Any way to recover this? And thanks! Tom

Where is FireFox Colorways in new version 109? Those --Balanced-- Themes Are Not Available In themes search!!!! For example i want Colorways Innovator -> Balanced Where can i download it?

The WidevineCDM plugin crashes on all streaming services that use it.

I've tried disabling/enabling the plugin, uninstalling my extensions, clearing my cache, refreshing and reinstalling firefox as suggested by other threads I've seen. So far nothing has worked.

Firefox always uses excessive GPU memory when I watch video and livestream. about:memory shows that the explict GPU memory allocation is only about 200 MB but in the task manager the GPU memory usage is 1GB, and the latter doesn't decrease even if I close the tab. I suspect that this is a memory leak. I searched for Bugzilla and found a similar issue that has been existing for years: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1386177

Screen data is displayed upside down and backwards - currently booting either Ubuntu or Windows 10 separately - the Windows 10 boot has no problems with either Microsoft Edge or Firefox - the problem occurs when booting Ubuntu with Firefox. Since updating ro Firefox 109 there is a new addon button that cant be moved. I dont care that the button is in the interface, I just need to move it out of the way. A big part of Firefox appeal is being able to customize it, adding buttons that arent movable is just ridiculous.
