Everything is gone….bookmarks, passwords, history on my desktop computer and I have no idea why. I opened Firefox and the home page was different and then noticed nothing was the same. I dl Firefox again, no help, same result. I do have my desktop synced to my iPad and laptop but I’m concerned they will import from the desktop and get wiped out. Is there a way to sync from the laptop to the desktop? I am at a complete loss on how to fix this. I do run a backup on this computer. Would that help? Restore point?

I frequently attempt to open news articles or other pages requiring form fill-in but instead get a page that advises me to disable an adblocker. I have no idea what Firefox (yes, up-to-date) uses or how I could set it to allow pop-ups for a particular site. Help!

Hello all together,

i just reinstalled my whole pc, win10 64. I exported my profile including all possible data, the .zip was too big to import so i copied it into the profile folder, on my desktop, in another foldet etc. But i always get the error message shown in the picture. This is my only chance to have access to my (partly) old email accounts... that's why i followed all steps, but i cannot import everything. I REALLY need your help and would appreciate it A LOT.

I want to support Mozilla but have no need for the complexity of Thunderbird. I find navigating the huge number of options hugely timewasting, eg I inadvertently remove some headers but can find no way of undoing this. Is there a cut down, simplified version I can use?

I am on a brand-new machine and having trouble setting up the Firefox browser.

When I click on a link it opens in a new window with all the tabs ready opened.

How do I open a tab without opening a new window?

Also, how do I set Yahoo.com as my default search engine?

April 15, 2024 Thunderbird is Insecure There is missing functionality issues

1. How to Disable the "SHOW PASSWORD" Button in Security Settings 2. Either implement with a Password Password option, only to show the Passwords or 3. Allow the ability to Disable the Button

back in 1916-18 the ability to disable the "SHOW PASSWORD" Button worked with with a variation of the following at that time user_pref("pref.privacy.disable_button.view_passwords", true); I believe I created and used chrome.css or chrome.js

At some point this functionality ceased to work.

Now, I have scoured the Net to figure out a Solution simply setting the value to True, gets reset by Thunderbird, TB does not save it. it always reverts back to False and the button remains available and does not disable

I have tried everything, adding it in user.js, settings.js, userChrome.js I put it in every directory, nothing seems to work

Do I have to Lock it? - How? confusing and disappointing.

Please provide a simple step by step Solution to the problem

I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I have tried: Running Firefox in safe mode (Shift + Left Click) Resetting Firefox Switching Back to default themes Disabling hardware acceleration Updating to the latest Beta Build (v126) Running Firefox Developer edition

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.

I need to be able to use Command-I (for italics) or Command-B (for bold) when using Firefox to write emails and enter information on other websites WITHOUT Firefox opening Page Information or Bookmarks.

This is basic browser functionality! People use browsers to write emails and other online documents, and the hotkey combo for things like Bold and Italics on Macs are Cmd-B and Cmd-I. All such websites I use recognize that as a standard, but Firefox insists on using those same commands for browser features I almost never use and certainly don't need hotkeys for.

All the information I'm finding online on how to fix this is deeply unhelpful and far more complicated than I can handle. Can you please tell me if there is a simple way to stop Firefox from pulling up Page Information and Bookmarks as a result of keyboard commands, or at least for me to change what those commands are so that they don't conflict with industry standard commands for text formatting on the vast majority of websites?

Hi, so on my office pc I work with firefox. I made an account specifically to store every bookmarks etc on that account so when my company updates something I'll always have my bookmarks. Unfortunately somehow since yesterday they all disapeared, and no I'm unable to recover them with the different methods that are foreseen on your website. please advise kr daniel

I turned off junk mail filtering and am glad I did. I don't get that much junk, and so I just mark it all in the inbox. What I don't have to do now is restore all the messages from a couple of listserves I'm on that Thunderbird insists on moving to junk - not every mail from these listerves, just some. There is nothing weird in the subject, I have the addresses in my address book, I'm constantly marking them as not junk, and it still insists on sending them to junk - sometimes.

But why doesn't it work properly? Why is it so wrong so much of the time?

i have been away from my pc for 6 weeks and cannot access thunderbird. it repeated states that the login server IMAP.telstra.com failed my email hillsec@bigpond.net.au i have tried changing the in server and outgoing server to match my ipad and iphone which can receive emails. please help me to restore everything in thunderbird.

As a longtime user and a regular subscriber to Mozilla, I can’t get access to Thunderbird. Reason is that I had to repair the hard drive and now I am locked out. I am unable to insert a master password because I never had one. Reason being that I have used Thunderbird for years and years before that was required. To say I am frustrated is an understatement. Without notice, Thunderbird today required me to sign-in to my Google account and then produced a window in which it said it wanted to access to my mail, contacts and calendar; in order to compose, send, share, delete permanently, among actions on my personal content. I tried to "Deny" (see below) but the window just returned and returned and could not be deleted. (see "Uploaded images", below for the content of this window).

Is this a scam? Or the result of a hacker?

I can no longer log into my social security account using Firefox, but the login does work on edge. When I try login on Firefox, I get the following error message:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

The initial web site is https://www.ssa.gov/. From there I hit "Sign in", and get to https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.action using Edge, but get just the error message using Firefox.

There is another route, which is through https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/. Hitting either account or sign in on that page will work on Edge, but gives the same error message on Firefox.

I know that it is possible, cause, in the past, I had extension doing exactly that. When I click on an active tab, Firefox just minimized it and went back to the last one I was looking at. But it was for the old version of Firefox. It wasn't compatibile with the new ver of the brawser. Can anyone can help me find some extension doing that please?
