I have for years disabled crash reporter on firefox, however it recently crashed 149.0.1 (64-bit) & sent info ANYWAY! it then upgraded to 149.0.2

Free youtube downloader wants my age from Firefox to download popular music videos. I am logged in to FireFox and Free YouTube downloader identifies FireFox as my default browser.

This is really an error for Free YouTube Downloader to correct, but many FireFox users must have solved this already. Any advice?

I keep getting notifications, supposedly from Mozilla and/or Microsoft on lower right of my screen, telling me the system is infected. How do i determine if these messages are valid, or a scam ? Turned computer off and back on--messages keep popping up.

The way to opt out is to go on the following website and opt out. However, only 3 out of the 51 companies could opt out on Firefox. It claims that the browser setting is prevent it from opting out. https://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1

I WAS ON A SITE AND IT BROUGHT UP THE COOKIE PAGE FOR FIREFOX TO PROTECT ME FROM PEOPLE OR COMPANIES FROM TRACKING MY BROWSING AND I COULD NOT GET BACK TO MY PURCHASE PAGE APP ACOOUNT I WAS ON. SO WHAT HAPPEN & WHY DID THIS COME UP?

I have been using Thunderbird forr many years and earthlink is my server. After doing many emails this morning Thunderbird stopped sending emails and showed a Security Certificate alert problem for smtpauth.earthlink.net:587 that i had nor seen before. I tried to over ride but could not. I can still receive emails. dan_doherty@earthlink.net

I've been using Thunderbird for my earthlink.net accounts for years. Now I'm getting an Error that "Peer's Certificate issuer is not recognized. My earthlink.net settings have not changed. Help.

Trying to use Thunderbird after break of some years and want to use Proton Mail. Every time I try to set it up I get message 'the certificate 127.0.0.1does not come from trusted source'. Previous experience of Thunderbird was that there were frequent issues like this arising.

Hello, I think I may have asked about this in the past but cannot recall if I received an answer. Under Settings, I get the message "Your browser is being managed by your organization." This is my home computer and is not being managed by any organization. When I click for more information, it gives me a screen with the following information:

Policy Name Certificates

Policy Value ImportEnterpriseRoots

                         true

If I could get more information on this suspected error, or how to correct it, that would be great. Thanks!

How do I set private browsing as default on android device? Prior suggestions only work on laptop. Nothing here suggests setting as default, I've gone through all the options.

Stolen laptop .Thunderbird had saved all my accounts passwords . I had no master password. Accounts were synced with my desktop .Now I installed Primary Password and, changed all my accounts passwords . Can the thief still access my accounts on stolen laptop. I backed up my profiles. Can messages on laptop be deleted . If I delete all messages from my desktop, will all messages also be deleted from stolen laptop if thief access thunderbird

Recently transferred from Chrome. My understanding was Firefox private browsing was supposed to work similarly to chrome incognito mode; once you close the browser, all local files are deleted and cookies are cleared.

However, with Firefox it maintains my logins. If I log into an account while private browsing and the close the browser, I’ll still be logged in next time I go to the website even if it’s days later (and I have never logged into this account in a non-private browsing window!)

I never had this issue using chrome incognito, so it seems to be a Firefox problem.

Is this just not something Firefox supports? Is there any way to prevent storage of cookies and private data?
