Finally decided to make a topic about it as all of my attempts in the past few months to fix it have been in vain. Starting from Firefox 69.0 or even perhaps in 68.0, I cannot exactly remember, Firefox started to randomly crash when I opened a New Tab and tried either Googling or opening a webpage through the address bar. This crash does not create any crash reports, going to "about:crashes" does not reveal anything, neither are any crash reports stored locally.
I have tried running Firefox in safe mode, without extensions, deleting my cache files from APPDATA/Local, deleting my profile files from APPDATA/Roaming and a lot of other stuff I honestly cannot remember anymore, but nothing has helped. I even tried downgrading to 68.0, but I received some kind of big warning message and did not want to proceed.
The issue itself in essence is a full freeze, which sometimes takes a second until firefox crashes, but sometimes takes 15 seconds. During that time the only thing I can see in Task Manager is that Firefox has a "Very High" power usage, which is bizarre, since I am not even running it on a notebook (i7-9700K factory clock, RTX 2080S, 16GB DDR4 RAM). As said, it never produces a crash report, so I have been reluctant in reporting it in the past. And since it is random and can take many hours to occur (or can occur first thing after I turn on PC and open Firefox), it is basically impossible for me to record a video about it.
(While writing this, I went to look something in a new tab, tried opening my Gmail account and the crash occurred. Added a task manager screenshot about what I meant by power usage. Fortunately it allowed me to restore the session and I did not have to re-type the entire text)
From what I can gather, the issue started to happen around the time I switched over from GTX 1070 to RTX 2080 SUPER GPU. But I cannot really imagine how a GPU upgrade could influence Firefox stability. Even less so since the same Firefox issue has persevered through multiple GPU driver updates.
Hope you guys have some suggestions what to try here. Perhaps some changes in about:config that could help me out here?

My profile appears to be corrupted. Newly created bookmarks disappear when the session is ended and new one is started. If I create a new profile and copy the contents of the old one, the problems come with it. I've tried removing add-ons, but none seem to be the cause. Safe mode works, but that's not a long-term solution. I've reinstalled FF, but copying the profile brings the problems with it.
My latest attempt is to create a new profile and import bookmarks, creating a new places.sqlite file. I copied a variety of other files (prefs.js, extentions*, key3.db, key4.db) and so far everything still works.
There's one issue with extensions.json and extensions.sqlite. These point to the extensions directory of the old, corrupted profile. This works, but obviously is not desirable. It's easy to do a find/replace on the .json file, but without changing the the .sqlite file this breaks extensions. Fixing the .sqlite file is harder (at least for me), but do-able. Is that the right solution?
Or is there a better way to reconstruct a corrupted profile?

Business email products allow only 100/hr. This makes one re-open their computers just to add new CSV every hour. Is there any way that i can put 24 CSVs (each for an hour of a day) each with 100 mails and schedule them to be sent via Mail merge (1 at a time) ? The delay feature allows time gap between 2 consecutive mails and not CSVs. CSV allows header {{Date}} {{Time}} but that means altering CSV itself and not via GUI of Thunderbird. Secondly, apart from portable TB that can be run parallely via pendrives, can TB be deployed in shared servers or VPS so that i can keep my PC off while mails get sent via app in cloud. Current cron jobs can be scheduled but not more than 10-15 should be open at a single time and they call a mail sending php script which has email headers like TO and BCC. If all mails are put in TO then privacy of users ' emails is hurt. If all are put in BCC then business mail deletes some of the mails from the middle of BCC list without intimation! Qmail and Postfix (Plesk) Logs of Maillist method (Mailman) do not provide final fate of individual mails in the mail-list. these logs just show "=sent/queued, etc." with huge scope of queue getting deleted at the backend. Thus, the only option of making sure that emails were delivered is by sending 1 at time i.e. via TO using Mail merge. If CSV quing or scheduling facility is there in GUI of TB then lot of ease in operations can be gained. It will replace use of cron jobs (in cPanel) for emailing purpose as the Exim logs, though provide individual email details via its logs even for maillist mails, are quite involving to decipher. So, if TB allows multiple CSVs quing in its GUI + deployment in cloud then how to execute that?

I am having two problems: 1) the Firefox Privacy notice tab keeps automatically opening a new window in the browser. Even when I close it, it reappears again.How to I stop that? 2) the main menu does not appear at top of the browser about the open tabs/windows. Put Mail Merge into action and then it said it couldn't send because of a problem with password. I put in a new password. Didn't work. Now the whole program is stuck with this same spot in Mail Merge. I cannot get back control of Thunderbird. I actually downloaded another Thunderbird. But that has not stopped the program staying stuck on this Mail Merge problem.

I have now uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox about ten times, to stop ift from crashing my Mac on Catalina. It sort of works, but I keep getting error messages in the Browser Console. Latest, while trying to access my City Council website, is "Favicon at "http://www.tshwane.gov.za/favicon.ico" failed to load: Not Found." It seems to couse a hiccup, then runs on. I also get 'TypeError: aBrowser is null' which seems to be a "x" is (not) "y" error, but I have no idea what that is or how to fix it.
Any suggestions?

I tried different extensions, but results are unsatisfactory. Does anybody know some trick? My goal is to find a method to flush all javascript structures in RAM. I explored about:memory, and tried the vmmap.exe (process memory analyzer) from the Sysinternals Suite, but I have not succeeded so far. Auto unload tab -- is not a solution. For example I clicked on links and opened 30 tabs in background. PC starts working very slow, Now I want to stop all them, and to read the loaded information (webpages). How to do it? I think it is the weakest side of Firefox. Needed to abrupt all attempts to make network connection, after the "offline mode" is enabled. I need something to stop javascript's attempts to connect, to calm it down. I want to start read webpages already loaded, and javascript occupies CPU. To kill threads in the Process Manager is not a way to do at all, Auto-unload also, I want to read those webpages. I have enough of RAM, it is not used more then a half. Many years ago, when there was HTML4, I used for a little the Maxton browser. It had a button to stop all pages. All similiar Firefox extensions do not act effectively like that. the issue not in scarcity of RAM, but in a badly design of browser's architecture, that javascript occupies users' PCs.

So looking at the at the change logs for v71 I do not see any notes to changes to the Client SSL system. But when we access an internal website that uses Client SSL for login controls. We get an SSL_ERROR_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE_ALERT error.
If we roll back to v70 of fix fox we do not get this error. Was bug missing or am i missing something in the change log.

I have been using Firefox from a long time. However, from last night, it's not loading any page. I type the URL, and pressing ENTER is not doing anything. Even the menu items of Firefox (Options, Customize etc) are not working. I have downloaded latest Firefox Installer, which when run updated my local Firefox with latest updates. I even tried to uninstall, and then reinstall. After re-installation also, it's behaving the same way.

When trying to login to a website and entering a password on ipad through lockwise, it's not showing available passwords by website but instead by username. So it lists all my usernames but i have no way of identifying which entry is correct since some usernames are shared among different websites and results in me selecting the wrong password for the site which is rather frustrating. Since version 65 or any higher build and even nightly builds, the webcam usually does not work. Trying 20 times it will only work for 1 time. The other times, the orange recording icon is on but the screen is blank. You can see the webcam starting half a second and then stops. This is with multiple types of Logitech webcams. I've tried to disable all security settings, disable hardware acceleration but none of this works. The webcams worked fine in lower builds. All is fine in Google Chome. Webcam works immediately so this issue is definitely a Firefox problem. I've tried multiple machines all loaded with Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012 R2 and no plugins. Can you guys help?

The fonts on wireclub.com aren't rendering correctly. Arial, Courier New, Georgia, Times New Roman, Trebuchet, Lucida Sans, and Comic Sans MS are meant to show on the page, but they're all showing with the same sans serif typeface, rather than the intended variety. If it isn't the same, it is close enough to the Lucida Sans one, but not close enough to the others. I had to add the missing fonts with the msttcorefonts package on my PC. What do I do to fix it here?

I'm on Fedora 31. Firefox was recently upgraded to 71.0 and I find a weird pattern in trying to open links from applications - possibly related to Slack:
If firefox was initially opened following a link from Slack, I can open other links from Slack, but trying to follow links from other applications (IBM Lotus Notes, or running "firefox URL" from a terminal window) fails with a "Firefox is already running" message.
If I open firefox from the desktop applications menu, the reverse happens. I can open links from Notes and a terminal, but following links from Slack fails.
I tried reinstalling firefox and slack with no success. Today I tried going back to an earlier version - firefox-70.0.1-4.fc30.x86_64.rpm - and everything seems to be okay.
It seems like something changed in firefox 71 that doesn't play well with Slack.

In previous version(below 70) of firefox the site was working fine even after the captcha error message. The site is working fine in next tab in same browser. When opening a link from email, Firefox 70.0.1 will launch and open two windows. The front window contains the desired link opened while the rear window opens my designated home page. Additionally the front window at the link address has all of the Mac OS menu bar blank with the exception of Firefox next to the Apple icon. The rear FF window, if brought to the front will show all of the usual FF menu items in the Mac menu bar (File, Edit, View etc) see screenshots.
There was another similar problem but none of the suggestions have resolved this. I have went as far as refreshing Firefox, creating a new profile yet the issue persists.
This problem will only occur when FF is closed and must launch to open a link. When FF has already launched, opening a link in a new tab in an already opened window functions as it should.
Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Firefox 70.0.1 OS Catalina 10.15.1
