In the latest Firefox update a very annoying new "feature" arrived. When you download something, an automatic drop down menu appears in the top toolbar and stays there until the file is being downloaded and closed after some seconds after the download is finished. You can click of course somewhere to make it vanish.

This is TOO ANNOYING. It also covers a portion of the main page. How can i disable this behavior and return to the old one where nothing appears automatically?

Background: I am on the Beta track, currently running 98.0b4 on Mac OSX 11.6.1, until kinks are worked out of Monterey.

Issue: One of the latest FF upgrades has killed my ability to login to Netflix. I get an orange popup field stating "Incorrect password. Please try again or you can reset your password." The password is fine, as I'm able to login using my backup browsers, Safari and Vivaldi. The issue persists when I try to log in using a private window that doesn't allow any add-ons, so I don't see that as the issue.

Firefox is still my preferred and default browser, so I'd like to see this resolved before.

See screenshot attached. After doing a search, the search bar with all those hints stays up and does not collapse.

Workaround is to switch apps away from Firefox and then back into it - then the search bar hides.b

This happens on my OnePlus 5 running Android 10. The same problem doesn't happen on my OnePlus 8 Pro running Android 11.

When I try to add something to my top sites I get the message

> Top site limit reached To add a new top site, remove one. Touch and hold the site and select remove.

However this doesn't make sense as I haven't chosen any of my top sites. I removed the defaults (Google, wikipedia) and the rest all show the remove from history option instead of remove. It seems like if you don't have 16 pinned then it fills in the rest based on history. In this case all 16 are filled in based on history and 0 are pinned. As far as I can tell it's fubar and I can't add anything to my top sites. Is there anything I can do?

Sometimes when starting Firefox ("developer edition", running on Ubuntu 20.04, Gnome shell, X11 windowing system) it appears 80% full screen -ish, but actually the window is full screen size - you just can't see it. It flashes really fast, and doesn't repaint correctly. It's very hard to get rid of it as you're never sure what you're clicking on.

Restarting it a few times and I get lucky and it works. I think this problem has gotten worse over the last few months.

I believe it might be something to do with the anti fingerprinting, but I'm not sure. It's making it unusable for several friends, but I'm a bit more stubborn so I'm looking for a fix.

Can someone help me with the following issue that I get when trying to listen to the radio on the internet in Firefox, am running the latest version of Firefox the error message that appears on the screen, see attached screen shot of the message

When i type in the search bar "list of active shortcut keys I get no answer except for a few people complaining and not anything relevant to the question asked. Why is this?

How do I change the font size of Firefox's headers elements: menu, tabs, bookmark toolbar, bookmark manager without changing the font across Mac iOS or otherwise messing up the other settings?

I've searched this question and found one answer archived that did not really fix the problem. I'm looking for an extension or a setting integrated in FF, not a font size change in Mac iOS (Monterey) or one that changes the font in the browser pages.

I am using firefox just for a few days, then when I go in to my Add-ons setings, it said All add-ons have been disabled by safe mode. So what is safe mode how can I turn it off!?

firefox works fine except for two sites. one is onx hunt, the other is American national bank personal banking site. the onx hunt site has been crashing for awhile and the bank site just started

A customer shared his Firefox login with me to share his passwords. I logged in with his account, downloaded his passwords and logged out directly afterwards, but now he is reporting that he has ALL my passwords. How can undo this? I never gave him access to my account and I never clicked on sync or something?

I often download multiple files daily. Firefox has a confirmation box that pops up every time, so I have to type twice for each download. I also have to tap OK for the first confirmation before it will let me tap to download again. Is there a way to turn this off for mobile, even if it's limited to a single trusted site? Or is this possible in Nightly?

am trying to sign in into facebook, but they keep telling me "An error occurred during a connection to www.facebook.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR" kindly help me fix it THANKS

i recently noticed how ive been missing this function and i havent been able to use the "date filter" because of it.

what can i do to re-add it? it dissapeared when firefox did an update.

Hello Mozilla Support!

I just installed Firefox 98.0 this morning. I was very surprised to discover that I can no longer view an attachment in Firefox or open an attachment without also downloading it.

If you can, please ask the developers to reinstate the Download Attachment options to "Open with Firefox" and "Open with [select the program]" without automatically downloading every attachment.
