Server disconnects ONLY when attempting to open the"SENT" file. Have two accounts on Thunderbird with identical settings (email1 and email2). One works fine and the other disconnects only when I attempt to open the "SENT" folder. Have several months of sent emails that will not download.

Hello, I am using : 115.11.1 (64-bit) The last mail I have received was on 14/06. I have check the POP mail server, I have tried to open at the same time my mail box on the yahoo platform and on Thunderbird. I haven't changed anything and do not understand why suddenly i cannot see my new mails. I can send mails without issue though. Can someone help ? Thank you Sand

I belong to a group of 11 people, and one or another of us occasionally sends a group email around to everybody. Those emails usually call for responses to some question or issue involving all of us.

And here's my problem -- sometimes when I hit REPLY ALL, my reply goes out showing someone else in the group as the sender, not me. That can lead to confusion, of course, as the others in the group will think my reply came from that someone else. Anyway, I include a couple of screen shots. And I deleted from the images any info showing my address or anyone else's. I did leave the usernames, so that I can explain.

They are "Fletcher Lokey" / flokey and "Susan Dyment" / sdyment.

First one (1.jpg) shows what I see when I click REPLY ALL. You would expect my username and address to be showing at the top, but it's Susan Dyment's name and address. AND, at the far right end, you see "flokey", which should not be associated with Susan Dyment, I would think.

Second one (2.jpg) shows what I see when I click that small "down arrow" at the far right end of the box. My username and address are then seen at the top of the dropdown, circled in red. But the entry for Susan Dyment is the one selected at the start. When I select my info, things get straightened out. I also have a gmail account, which is showing as the third option in the dropdown. That's only there because it was part of the experiment I did so I could get the screenshots

So I have to be paying attention, so I can correct it if it happens.

I've hunted through my address book for any clue to why Susan's info is the one selected when REPLY ALL is called. In fact, I'm left wondering why anyone EXCEPT me would be in that dropdown box. And why in the world does Susan Dyment have "flokey" associated with it there?

I hope that's not too confusing. And any help appreciated

Follow up on previous message

Having uninstalled Malwarebytes and Norton 360, the warning message has now cleared.

I shall continue with Windows Defender!

Hello, I have not really a problem, but I want to know: how is it possible to get spam-emails without showing my email adress? In a normal list I can see the receiver adresses, in these spam emails with cryptical receiver that is not possible; I get even spam emails without any shown receiver Is this possible with BCC-Adresses?

I have a recurring but random problem when I reply to an email with a distribution list. TB seems to select an email address from the CC addresses on the original email rather than my mailbox address. example - mail received from user A with copy to B C D E. I reply to all and sometimes the sender address used by the system is one of the CC addresses (ie B C D or E). All users are getting the message but they think it was sent by somebody else. This could be a sensitive problem if I was making a report and then wondered why there was no follow up. Is there a setting somewhere that decides which sender address I use? I use two accounts, one is my internet provider (BT) and the other is Gmail. So far, I have only been advised of Gmail errors. Thanks in advance.

I removed an account (membershipsec.KLcommunitychoir@gmail.com) from Thunderbird but I am still being asked to validate my ID for that account every time I look at my email. It's a Google page that is displayed but it seems to be Thunderbird that is triggering it. How do I stop it?

For the last several weeks, whenever I check my email the new ones arrive but the latest one is always above what's displayed and I need to scroll up or I miss it. In other words, the the most recent email is out of view and the top one showing is #2. Hope that makes sense. Using latest version.
