When I download a file before I even have a chance to save or open the file Firefox downloads the file and puts it on my desktop. I have to look at lots of .pdf files and this a bit annoying as I have to keep deleting all the files I dont want. The dialog box opens and I always choose open rather than save but Firefox has already saved a copy to my desktop. How can I stop this autosave please ? Cheers.

I have sent several emails and get no reply, how am I suposed to fix check or see my saved passwords if they all look like this...3b4a3f36-7056-4eee-bcb3-2b0838fa07e1

When downloading files, FF opens a window to file manager. The window enables user to choose the download directory. But the window extends past the right side of the monitor, thus the "save" button is not displayed. Thus, files cannot be saved.

not able to sign in on my account or track packages on FEDEX website. I talked with FEDEX and they say to try another browser and when I do the site works. I have tried taking off enhanced tracking and restarting in safe mode I cleared cookies and all. Is there a fix for this?

I am not sure what has happened but I had tons of passwords saved in my Mozilla browser. I have been using this since 2019 or 2020 and saved all of my passwords there. What happened is I was using my laptop and wasn't aware that the charger is not plugged in. While working my device turned off because of no battery. I connected the charger and restarted my device like normal. After I opened my browser(Mozilla Firefox) and ctrl+shift+t to open all the recently closed tabs, I was amazed to see that it restored many old sites like 1.5 month old websites instead of the one's which I was using. However, the recently closed one's were showing in the history. I opened the tabs from history that I needed and started using it normal. I have using Mozilla Firefox for good 2 years I never felt the need to remember any of my passwords. Everytime I have to create an account on any of the sites I just create a password once, at the time of sign up only and then click on SAVE PASSWORD so I don't have to remember it. I am guessing this is the normal practice that everyone does or may be a cast majority. I was doing my routine work, I tried to login to my account using the same way like you put in your email in the email section and then click on password section and select the user/email you want to use a password for and sign in. BUT TODAY WHEN I FOLLOWED THE SAME PROCEDURE, IT DOESN'T SHOW ME ANY SAVED PASSWORD WHICH WAS QUITE SURPRISING TO ME. I OPENED THE PASSWORD MENU FROM THE TOP RIGHT AND I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT THERE WE ZERO, LITERALLY ZERO SAVED PASSWORDS. I REALLY NEED HELP WITH THIS BECAUSE THOSE WERE SO MANY PASSWORDS LIKE SERIOUSLY SO MANY.

Despite i selected "always show" in the options of the menu toolbar, as indicated in many answers and guides, Mozilla keeps randomly to show or not to show (most of the times) my bookmarks in the top bar. The bookmarks are still there if i press on top on bookmarks in fact they appear, simply they are not anymore in the bar. I have reset several times to default from the options but it doesnt change anything. Any clue? Thank you

I was watching anime today on some site and my firefox was downloading many files without my knowledge into my download folder. I'm worried that it can be some viruses? This is a screenshoot. Should i be worried? Thank you for help.

When I use Firefox on my Mac, no matter what I have tried it keeps defaulting to the dreaded Bing Search Engine. I understand it has to do with Microsoft, but I don't use any of their products because I don't like them. In settings/search I can restore the default search engines & delete Bing, but it always reverts back to insisting on using Bing again. I have followed several threads about this issue without permanent resolution. Help??

my pc had friend so when i got a new one i lost all of my firefox data, how can i get all of it back so i was forced to start all over, i lost all my, bookmarks, tabs, history and saved passwords

I decided I needed to use a password to enter my emails. By following my nose, I went to settings and checked the box to use a primary password. It then asked for a password. I typed it in... twice. Once, then confirm. Now, I can't enter my email no matter how many times I type in the password. I've tried resetting the password by going to chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml. It says password was reset but nothing has changed, it did not ask me for a new password, and I still can't get in. Frustration has set in. Thank you for any help you can give tome.

Until recently, I resisted allowing updates for Firefox because of the announcements of changes to prevent access to some technical kinds of website which I use. These include the public websites of the Paris Observatory which include useul informational ftp pages with important text, data and software files.

  I did recently allow a Firefox update, and now I find that I am cut off from access to these ftp pages. 
  How can I re-enable access to ftp? If it can't be done in the new version of Firefox, how can I return to an older Firefox version that does allow such access?

I use Last Pass for passwords & it's worked in the past on Firefox. After updating Firefox, the Last Pass extension in by toolbar is black - in the past I would click that, open the Last Pass page to sign in, then the icon turns red and functions. Now when I click the icon a frozen page comes up that never loads. I can sign in to the Last Pass webpage, but that doesn't turn on the extension.

Hello :) For some time now my firefox doesn't allow me to preview PDFs. If I open it, it gets downloaded at the same time which I don't need. I already tried the thing with renaming the handlers.json to handlersOLD.json but it didn't work :( does anyone know how to fix this?

Logged into https://www.expedia.com/ the home page tries to open but a second or two later I see a blank, white screen. I "Turned Enhanced protect off" Expedia page still blank I open GOOGLE and Expedia works perfectly

Good day! I trust you all are well. I am using a Kensington Expert Mouse (wired, K64325), and KensingtonWorks application for settings. Although I use the slowest scrolling speed, the scrolling is still very fast i.e. one click is a full screen. In other applications the settings are working well. How can I slow down the scrolling? I am running Firefox 99.0 on an iMac with MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. With a recent update to Firefox I can no longer print using the system dialog box as default. I did already try switching the "print.tab_modal.enabled preference" to "false" and that simply doesn't work. When that flag is set to "false" and I print from within Firefox, the Firefox print dialog comes up, not the system print dialog. Why can't I change it so that the system print dialog comes up by default?????

Couple days ago Yahoo Mail stopped downloading attachments of any type. Only happens when using Mozilla. Yahoo mail works fine with edge and android. The following had no affect: (1) signing out and in to yahoo mail. (2) Clearing cache etc in Mozilla (3) rolling back recent windows updates. Occurs with all types of attachments, so not an app issue. Appreciate your help, please include only those suggestions which consider the "suddenly" part...

I love screenshot by Mozilla. However, recently in the last few months (not sure) when the change happened, the timezone (stamp) at the end of the screenshot is NOT based on the "local" PC that is using it. I am in EST but it shows a different time zone which creates a problem. Since Mozilla Online is China based entity, I believe it is showing their timezone. I checked the settings and I could not find where to change the timezone to local time. This is key for many users as we need a "correct" local timezone.

Previous versions had this feature (automatically) and I did not have to set it up. Can we have the option to change the timezone please? Thanks.
