I can't send emails out of Thunderbird but can receive them, not sure what to do? Is there a phone number I can call with Thunderbird for help? I'm not that savvy with all this.

My wife's C; drive is nearly full, and part of the problem is the TB Roaming folder under AppData under Users. On my PC this folder is 16MB, but on my wife's is over 35GB!

How can I reduce the size of this folder?

Once a while Firefox would freeze up and when that happens it would without fail reboots the phone if the phone goes to sleep and if I don't force close the app quickly. It might've done so anyway without putting it to sleep but I haven't tested leaving the screen on long enough. I noticed that if I was quick enough and force stop the app the phone doesn't reboot, but that window is really short. Maybe 2 seconds or so. Suffice to say force stopping didn't always work since the window is so short. When Firefox freezes other apps and phone functions work normally. It's been ongoing for a while through multiple updates. I see some people have already reported this same issue here. Can Mozilla fix this please? I have uBlock origin addon installed thanks. Also this never happened with my Pixel 3 phone which I was using up until a few months back so maybe it's pixel 6a specific. Alot of people have this same issue with pxiel6a from googling. It can freeze on any site I visit but one example is reddit.

Whenever I open the find bar while deleting the phrases and words, it shows the one word highlighted or its phrase highlighted on the find bar whenever I reopen after deleting the phrases and words. I need help for this ?

I have been using Thunderbird for years to access several @charter.net email addresses, lately administrated at Spectrum, which took over Charter. Everything was working normally until today. I can still receive emails, but when I send, I get an error message asking for a password: "password required for outgoing SMPT server" Manually entering a password in that error message box doesn't help. Spectrum support is not helpful beyond confirming that my email sends and receives normally as long as I access it on their website. Three clues: 1) Spectrum recently announced "new and improved" email. 2) One customer service person described my email addresses as "legacy". 3) My gmail address sends and receives just fine from Thunderbird as usual. Until recently my browser accessed all the sites I have used for years and now I cannot access them. As an example the message I receive is "You don't have permission to access "http://booking.jetstar.com/au/en/booking/select-flights" on this server".

All this started after I loaded Norton. I have had them look at the system, and they have, but also point out that it is not them as I can access the site from Edge. I have looked at the help page and their are thousands of people with the same query but no fixes! As a long term supporter of Firefox I am disappointed that I now have to use Edge to do most of my business. HELP

Hey there, I'm having trouble with Firefox. Something inside Firefox is eating up my RAM and CPU. Usually I recognize the problem happening because my laptop fans ramp up. The problem occurs on my laptop as well on my desktop (both on latest stable Firefox[Build ID: 20220513165813] and Windows 11). The workaround is to kill the Firefox subprocess which is using most of the CPU and RAM. Then everything is back to normal for some time, until Firefox starts messing with me again.

While trying to pinpoint the problem I'm stuck. I can't find a culprit other than the fact it has something to do with Firefox. Clean reinstalling did not help. The Firefox Task Manager doesn't know anything about huge amounts of RAM being taken. I searched for solutions on the net and the about:memory indicates the problem is some IPC related stuff:

The bug reporting guidelines(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html) are encouraging me to attach steps to reproduce and try the steps listed on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-much-memory-or-cpu-resources . But I've exhausted the steps there (Except for upgrading the PC / RAM).

Especially on the go this Firefox-RAM-Party takes quite some battery and right now while writing this Firefox has >100GB virtual RAM reserved for some IPC messages, I personally think this is too much. So I'd like to file a report, but without steps to reproduce I'm afraid the developers are going to say 'well, that's something we are not able to diagnose', because I am unable to explain how to reproduce it. It just happens from time to time.

Do you have a clue where I might find out who sends those IPC messages, and therefore who is responsible for this?

Firefox seems to crash repeatedly and generates no crash reports, just freezes up my pc. It works in troubleshooting mode but even after refreshing, the problem persists. Surprisingly, it will consistently crash if I go to `about:support` (except in troubleshooting mode). Any help would be appreciated!

with Firefox there is a long delay (~5min.). This happens with multiple machines and locations (w/ Windows 10p and Windows 11p). This started a few weeks ago, I'm wondering if an update is to blame.

It all works fine with Microsoft Edge.

Hi I have a Shopify account and since the Firefox 99 update my Shopify shop page doesn't load any more, showing an error message. I have had to download Chrome in order to access my shop - really annoying. Have anyone been able to troubleshoot the problem? I find it really affects my ability to do business and I am feeling let down by Firefox. I am adding a screenshot of the error message. I can access my shop without any trouble on Edge or Opera browsers. Firefox is the only one having issue...

Have clean up all In box mail and compacted it, but still has same problem .

Ok, so I installed Firefox today, and tried to watch Discovery+, it kept saying it was installing components to play the audio and video and never seemed to actually install them. I finally figured out it's the widevine plugin sitting there with a yellow bar saying it's going to install soon but never does.

I went through nearly an hour of troubleshooting, and nothing has worked. I tried toggling the DRM option on and off, restarting the browser and PC, reinstalling Firefox, restarting my modem, disabling and enabling the plugin itself, going to all the streaming sites I use, attempting to manually install the plugin, etc.

As far as I know, I'm not using an antivirus, I don't have my VPN on, any other extensions or plugins, pihole, or anything else I saw in other support queries. I'm just going crazy trying to fix this since it seems nothing works.

Every time I try to login to a different page my firefox crashes.

I also did get the attached message, wasn't forsure if this was apart of the issue?

I have tried to dump the preferences, clear cache, restart, clear history.

With just 2 email addresses that I have been using for years, I suddenly get this Undeliverable message when attempting to send emails using Thunderbird:

"The mail client submitted this message with bare line feeds, which cannot be sent via SMTP protocol DATA command and receiving system does not support BDAT"

I can receive emails from the 2 addresses fine, I just can't send to them through Thunderbird. When I sign in to Hotmail Outlook Live I can send and receive to these addresses with no problem.

I'm stumped! Any ideas? Can I reset Thunderbird?

Hello, I'm teaching German as a foreign language - both f2f and online via Zoom. Up until recently I could call up the websites I would need for the online training, turn off the computer to save power and when I started it again the next day, all the tabs from the previous session would automatically reappear when I started Firefox. But now I cannot click the option "Open previous windows and tabs". I really don't want to completely delete this program and start from scrap because I'm scared I might lose all the bookmarks I collected for my job over the years. While using Yahoo email I tried to access the 'Notepad' page and get a message saying to Download a new version of Firefox to see the 'Calendar' even though I was trying for the 'Notepad' not the 'Calendar'. If I try for the 'Calendar' I initially get the small right-sidebar version fine but if I ask for the full page version I get the error message again. This does not happen if I access Yahoo through Chrome-browser. I have repeatedly done the download to no avail. (I have version 99.0.1). I am attaching a screenshot of the error message. Hi everyone, I am far from a proficient T-bird user so stick with me... My C. drive has a massive amount of space being used by T-bird, over 67Gb. My account is the only one on this machine and it is hosted with Inmotion Hosting. I've confirmed with them that they see me as an IMAP account and my settings are IMAP also locally. I did find under settings in Sync and storage a setting for 'Keep messages in all folders for this account on this computer'. The check mark is checked so it will be keeping all messages. Under Advanced (to choose which folders are 'kept' locally, there are options for all of my folders, some are back to 2014. My question is if I uncheck this box so that the files are not kept locally, will it for some reason expunge the files from the servers within Inmotion? My hesitation is due to talking to them about 14 months ago and I was given erroneous info on POP vs IMAP and subsequently some emails being lost on a corrupt PC. I'm a bit gun shy to execute the unchecking and then the delete of the huge local file.
