I've been using custom icons for all of my 36 shotcuts on Firefox start page. Today I opened Firefox and my icons are gone, Firefox slowy created its own ones and now I can't refresh them to bring back my own, despite there are my links pasted into entry. This is how it looked like: https://i.imgur.com/4C9jaqK.jpeg and now it's like that: https://i.imgur.com/VDIoggt.jpeg absolutely horrible and it's not the first time Firefox did that. It's really time consuming to bring back old icons one by one, I have to upload each of them again to get new links, because somehow Firefox sees old links being in use and there's no way to refresh preview of them. Please give me faster method to bring back my old setting, I really hate changes so much!

I was in the middle of asking this question when I fixed (worked around) the problem so I'm posting more as a informative post as there is a lot of old misdirection out there now.

I am(was) unable to drag any URLs from the URI drop down field in the main interface to my bookmarks toolbar. Nor was any drag and drop functionality working in the "Customise Firefox" screen (right click space on url bar -> Customise Toolbar).

I have now found that resetting my zoom setting in preferences to 100% restores this functionality. The problem arose when I was using 120% zoom, NOT text only.

How do I export bookmarks either on my iphone or my iPad? All the instructions seem to be for desktop. There is no ‘manage bookmarks’ at the bottom of the bookmark menu. Desktop is not an option.

I have two problems:

1. After importing bookmarks from html file i can not see them under search bar. only i can see them when clicking on Show your bookmarks /Ctrl+Shift+O/. Bookmark toolbar is checked into Always show Where is the problem?

2. Blank shortcuts of some websites, i tried to fix it with all methods but failed like: Deleting the IconCache.db file then restart windows explorer Command prompt sfc /scannow Command prompt dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth Disable tablet mode and Widgets

For some reason, Mozilla is showing me different folders in the "new bookmark" dialog than it is when I go into my actual bookmarks. I added a new subfolder through the "new bookmark" dialog, but it isn't showing up when I open my bookmarks menu. I then tried adding a subfolder in the bookmarks menu to see if it worked the other way around, but that folder isn't showing up in the "new bookmark" dialog either. Ideas? Suggestions? I'm a relatively new Firefox user, and this is really frustrating me!

I have syned my account to santhuusanthosh51@gmail.com like bookmarks passwords Etc., Today i have formatted laptop and reinstalled laptop and logged in with same same account it shows no data in it like history Bookmarks and password.

Hi, thank you for being there. I have a strange problem that started a while ago. Every time I restart the computer to refresh it, all my bookmarks and log-ins change. It seems as if they are set back to an old version, but I can't even remember ever having a setting like this. A lot of bookmarks folder are gone all together and others only have a few bookmarks left in them. I suddenly have to enter passwords to get into my email accounts. Even stranger, after a while it all goes back to my current setting without me changing anything. This can take days or weeks. All this makes me nervous about restarting my computer. Please understand that I am not a computer wiz, so if you send me complicated instructions on how to fix this, I probably won't understand them. I hope there is a simple explanation for this. I use the firefox browser on two computers and the sync of the bookmarks is enabled. On one of this computers dont work the sync of the bookmarks. I get no errormessage if I press "now sync", but I dont get the bookmarks. Could you help?
