i just update my firefox on mac after that lost all setting, password, add on and extension. i sync multiple times, its not working.

Roughly 90% of the time I am using firefox to access and export excel files from a site used for the back end of our point of sale system, the tab I am exporting from jumps to a random URL (usually for a utility company I use to pay utility bills through). I have to go back several pages to get back to the original. It is totally problematic, and fairly random and often the utility company URL will vary; sometimes it's the gas company, sometimes it's the power company....occasionally the internet service provider).

Hello, I am a tinkerer and I would like to tweak my Firefox Developer Edition to suit my tastes, but I don't know what each of the preference commands does. Could you provide a list explaining what each command does and, if possible, how to use them? I don't want to reinstall Firefox.italic text I prefer to do things properly. Thanks

the only autoplay setting i can find is under privacy and security. the page shows DEFAULT FOR ALL WEBSITES: Block Audio and Video, but videos still open and play. the page does not retain the change when i select the button REMOVE ALL WEBSITES. this problem has not been happening for years. it may have begun about six months ago. thank you for your time

I just get gray boxes and cannot even log in or anything. I have no ad blockers or add-ons. How can I get youtube working again on Firefox. It is working fine on Safari and on my iphone.

The behavior began with fifteen to twenty crash messages appearing. After which the browser would stop responding and be unable to reach out to the internet.

Network connectivity was confirmed as I was able to access my VPN and corporate teams.

I submitted as many crash reports as I could. Eventually the crash reporter ceased to function. The message is:

Firefox had a problem and crashed. Unfortunately, the crash reporter is unable to submit a report for this crash.

Only a full reboot of the machine restored functionality but only temporarily. It returns after being put into sleep mode.

Running firefox in safe mode does not restore functionality. The behavior persists.

I am fully up to date according to firefox.

Hi, I opened my email this morning and all was fine. Then I checked spam etc, and went back and my inbox is completely empty. I'm not tech savvy, so I have no idea how to fix this. Could anyone help please?

I use Thunderbird to check the 15 different email accounts that I have to respond to. On the 4th of June it just quit sending or receiving emails. I tried deleting some of my emails but it hasn't helped. Do you think I haven't deleted enough or would there be another reason for it to quit working.

I have a business email account, its desk space was about to be full

I deleted the account from the c-panel and re construct it again with the same settings.

I discovered that I can`t no longer see the old inbox and sent files, they became empty.

I use Thunderbird to read the email

Is there any way to get the old profile so that i can get the old inbox and sent items

I am experiencing an issue where the Firefox browser on my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device running the HyperOS Android 14 operating system is consuming a very high amount of system resources, particularly CPU and RAM. This is causing my device to heat up significantly and draining the battery life at a faster rate.The specific problems I'm facing are: 1.Firefox requires special permissions and settings to function properly on my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device with HyperOS, such as exempting it from battery restrictions or granting it "autostart" permissions. Without these settings, the app crashes or doesn't work correctly. 2.However, when I grant these special permissions to Firefox, the app then starts consuming an excessive amount of CPU and RAM resources, much more than my other browsers like Chrome or Brave. 3.According to the system monitor, the Firefox processes are consuming the following resources: RAM 372M, CPU 39.0% Process "org.mozilla.firefox:tab12" RAM 742M , CPU 20.0% Process "org.mozilla.firefox" 4.This high resource consumption by Firefox leads to my Xiaomi Redmi 13C device overheating and the battery draining faster, negatively impacting the overall user experience. I have tried various troubleshooting steps, such as clearing the app's cache and data, using a lighter version of Firefox, and checking for updates, but the issue persists. For years I have used Firefox as my preferred internet browser, and most of the time it's OK. Recently, however, when trying to log on to my bank accounts, I get the message "Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." How do I do this? In the meantime I am using another browser and can log on successfully there.

I am having trouble trying to open sites that I know are safe , for instance trying to follow a link from an email, or even using google search

I get a message saying 

'Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

I use Firefox on my Mac and windows. Recently downloaded Firefox for the first time on ipad. Worked well for the sites that I opened for 15 minutes. Opened at max 4 tabs. Then I was crossing out the opened tabs, it crashed when the last open tab was closed. Tried again, and same thing. Since this is my behavior for every session, this could not continue, and I had to uninstall it from the iPad.

In Windows 10, Audible throws this error:

An Error Occurred An error occurred during processing. Please close this window and try again.

Other browsers are fine. Other media in Firefox such as BBC Sounds are fine. I cleared the history, then reset Firefox. I thought it might be an issue with the latest Realtek driver, but I could not roll back all Realtek drivers. So I installed an Asus DS Xonar 7.1 PCI soundcard. This shows exactly the same problem.

I think the HTML that loads in Firefox is corrupted or tampered.

Could I get some feedback?

As described in [question] I am unable to install addons in Thunderbird: when attempting to install an addon, either via the in-app browser or via a file, a pop-up window appears for which "Add" and "Cancel" buttons do nothing (there is no way to move or remove the window without killing the process).

I am opening this question as this problem still persists over a year and many versions later.
