I am having different issues with the app, close to everytime i use it. For example, i did a reinstall yesterday because i was not able to open the amazon prime gaming content... i tried to claim some free game content there, i had to login for it which i did, but after that a site showed up wich where written..."Looking for something?"..on Chrome everything worked fine.. there is even more, please contact me

Hello, about 1-2 weeks ago a very strange problem occurred - on some pages videos don't play at all or play without a sound. Can anyone help me with this strange situation? For example, every video on youtube.com plays without a problem; on facebook.com every video plays with no sound at all; on some other pages video doesn't play at all. This problem is only with firefox, if I try to open the same videos with another browser everything is fine.

I notice this subject has been mentioned prior, but I cannot find a resolve. Been using Thunderbird for a long time without issues, but last week it stopped sending and receiving emails through the Skymesh internet provider. Still sends & receives Hotmail/Gmail/Yahoo, but will not connect to any Skymesh accounts. Have reinstalled/updated, but no change. SMTP timeout and if I change settings I get the 10060 error. Could not even connect to their Webmail page either. If I turn VPN on, then I can access their Webmail page. Rang Skymesh, they poked around and said it was all this end and with Thunderbird. Seems an IP number change via VPN with Opera resolved the Webmail page access, but I cannot do that thru Thunderbird. Running Win 7. Anyone ??

I experienced problems with Firefox on different Windows 10 clients. The problems are only with Firefox, other browser like Chrome or Edge have no issues. The occasional issues are that Firefox loads the websites either very slow (~ 30 to 60 seconds) or sometimes not at all. At the same time, other browsers like Chrome or Edge load the same websites fast and reliably.

All affected clients have a fully patched Windows 10 with the latest build, up-to-date Firefox versions, recent processors and plenty of RAM and I periodically clean cookies/website-data/cache/history.

What could be the problem and the solution?

There is an email app provided by xiaomi on my phone.What in the email sent by this app contains a special format of `Date` fields.It looks like that: `Date: Thu, 2 May 2024 05:55:12 UTC` It doesn't look like others' `Date: Thu, 2 May 2024 06:05:15 +0000` or `Date: Thu, 2 May 2024 10:35:14 +0800 (CST)`

but it is still conforming to standards (or is it only parsable by the JavaScript Date method?)

After I modified windows time zone and restarted thunderbird. all emails changed time so this is not a time zone problem.

But this email shown two different times in the preview and detailed pages at this moment.

So can anyone tell me if this is a bug? Thank you.

The same happens in troubleshoot mode. I also tried reinstalling an older version but the same thing happens. Help me figure out what's wrong so I can read emails. :(

Good day Mozilla vols! Has anyone else heard of, or developed an issue recently where TB will not delete multiple emails when selected? Previously, when I selected multiple emails for deletion and clicked "delete selected messages", TB would hang for a bit (while processing), but then all my selected messages would be deleted from both TB and my mail provider.

With timing conspicuously aligning to the 115.10.2 update, the multiple email delete functionality has broken. Now, when I highlight multiple emails to delete, instead of deleting them, TB marks them all as read, and only deletes a single email (the oldest email in the group I selected).

I saw one other question about this, but it was marked "archived" without an answer. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, starting with Thunderbird 126.b02 (al least) there are very heavy perfoming issues. Beyond crashes it takes approximatly 10 seconds to open a specific email. Moving to another account is much more difficult: taking itself a much of time it takes supplemental time to open the INBOX.

Despite an Raphael on-dice-graphics I'm running a discrete Radeon RX 6700XT. HDD is far away from being over-lastet or running out of memory

This is what the message says. It got hung up after the DONATE message posted. i donated, but it didn't free it up.

Apple says it is a TB problem, not an Apple problem. Somebody please help.

I'm using FF on a Mac Mini, Sonoma, and for the last few days FF doesn't open in the same position it was in when I closed it. When I open FF it's about half of the size it was when I closed it. I then drag a corner to the size FF I want, but this is a very new issue.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. Upon finishing the update and rebooting, Firefox gave me the PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR on all websites. Not other browser was having an issue. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps I can find. Is there an error fix based on what I am describing that I can now try?

Every time I start up firefox, it takes about a full minute to load. It shows an outline of the UI, but does not become usable for a while, windows also puts up a "firefox is not responding" window when the window is interacted with. After loading, opening a new window is unaffected, and page loading is snappy. just the initial launch is the issue. This remains true even after a clean uninstall + reinstall. Appdata folder was removed as well, and did not affect the issue. I do not have any antivirus software other than windows defender, so that should not be an issue. My hardware is also not likely to be at fault, as it is sufficiently up to date (upgraded within last year, not sharing specs here). Chrome starts up in less than a second for reference. Once again, a fresh install with a new profile has the same symptoms. Have tried every available guide to no effect.

Reaching my end with defects in thunderbird. I select items in the inbox/index of the UI and it isn't updating the email view pane.

Sometimes I select in the index, it highlights the message, doesn't update and then 10-15 seconds later, the UI does a big update like it had hung on something, and it just ignores my selection completely and selects whatever it wants. This is crazy.

I'll add I have a "unified folder" and despite the 3 accounts inboxes included from accounts configured to never auto update, IT ALWAYS does updates whenever it wishes. Again, this is crazy. Like it can't be supposed to work like this ?

So: Is this thing single threaded ? Is the "unified" folder functionality mature and does it work properly ? Suggestions or pointers to fix or research/test what I see is just flat out poor performance when clicking stuff in the UI ?

I really can't believe I'm questioning the basics of thunderbird.

Version is Win 10, 115.8.1 (64-bit), udpating now but I'd say I have found the basic performance to have tanked since the bug UI change to "modernize" it. Seems to me, without exact data to support that I have been degrading ever since. No updates I've made in last few months have improved anything.

Really don't want to leave but I'm about to try using it on Mac and Linux to compare and at same time I just configured all this in apple mail for the first time in maybe 10 years. This is something I never ever thought I'd do.

Last thought, I use same accounts, on iPhone (Boxer) and many iPads. I don't see any performance problems there so I'm pretty confident this isn't the mail servers.

So yesterday I downloaded a bunch of files to mod a game. This warning appeared and since then it's been popping up every time I start the browser. I have cleared all cookies related to the relevant sites. I have removed the warning about unwanted and uncommon software. I would rather not clear all my cookies and data to resolve this, so looking for other suggestions first. I don't mind digging through files or code to make it happen.

Hi, Since 4 days all emails messages ending by ".... @akeonet.com" (SFR company) can't be sent or received via THUNDERBIRD. When opening THUNDERBIRD a password is asked for address email "lalevee.claude@akeonet.com". But the current password doesn't work. I'am getting then a demand to "try again" or "enter a new password" or "cancel" but again without any success. However when trying "Configure your existing address email", I'am getting the message: the email address ("lalevee.claude@akeonet.com") is found in the FAI data base MOZILLA ! Using AKEO webmail, I can find new messages received or can send new ones. Please notice, adresses ending by "...@gmail.com" are not concerned by this problem, and still working !??? Stopping firewalls doesn't solve the issue.

Hello! I updated FLOORP on the 5th May, FLOORP crashed and then Brave, Firefox, Waterfox, LibreWolf and Vivaldi started crashing. I had Brave and Vivaldi open when I launched FLOORP and FLOORP asked consent to update itself and after updating, it did not open in “previous session” and I could not open “previous session” through History. When I launched “Settings” from menu, “previous session” opened! I had pinned “Settings” earlier.

Now the bizarre happens; suddenly LibreWolf launches by itself also without “previous session” and open tabs in Brave and Vivaldi disappear to single New Tab. After some tinkering, I was able to restore “previous session” in LibreWolf, Brave and Vivaldi.

Now I close all browsers and open Firefox, no “previous session” and some random windows in its history, opening these random windows also opened “previous session”! 🙄But then Waterfox launches also without “previous session”, here clicking on OneTab extension recovered “previous session”.

Cutting short; I uninstalled, Waterfox, LibreWolf and FLOORP, this did not help, I ran System Restore twice to two different points and it has not resolved the issue.
