I want to setup my Gmail account that my school hosts. It has a unique domain name and Thunderbird does not recognize it as a Gmail account, but I'm sure it is. Here's what I did to solve the problem (yet no luck) First, I tried to setup with manual IMAP configuraiton by following the steps on LifeWire Article and Google Support, but it says that credentials that I'm using is wrong. It did detect the Gmail mail server though. Next, I tried to pretend that I'm going to login as a user I've created ON GOOGLE so thunderbird can recognize it as Gmail Account, then logged in with my school credential, and it failed. Probably because I've entered fake Gmail address in the form. It's very inconvenient that I cannot setup mail accounts with OAuth authentication method manually.

Do you have a walkaround for this?

I've tried going into Full Screen mode three different ways:

• Clicking the green MacOS button in the upper left of the window
• In the Firefox menu in the upper right, to the right of the Zoom choice I click the full screen icon
• Pressing Command+Shift+F

But whatever way I do it, I still see the tab bar, address bar, and bookmarks toolbar rather than a true full screen. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

My Firefox browser is up to date but I cannot log on to my Bank website. As soon I enter my Logon info I get logged out, however I can access the site using MS EDGE. This is a recurring problem. The website recognizes Firefox as an valid browser. Occasionally I have been able fix problem by clearing the browser Cookies/History but at present none of that works. Do you have any suggestions? My preferred browser is Firefox so this problem is frustrating.

I recently changed ISP carriers (from Network Solutions to Intermedia). The transfer was slow but everything worked just fine. Then, a few weeks later, I received a notice from "ExQuilla" asking me to sign up & pay, which I did not do. Monday morning, my Thunderbird email was frozen. I was able to go to the ISP's online portal to access my email and still can but I prefer Thunderbird which I have been using for decades. Mozilla has always been free other than donations. i am setting up a new laptop and trying to import all my current data from my old pc. Nothing is right. It imported alll the shortcuts on my toolbar from years ago. None of these are the current bookmarks from my old pc. ive tried syncing, importing again, nothing works. my bookmarks on my side bar are years old. I dont have ANY of these on my old pc as i deleted them years ago. what the heck is happening and how do i get my new pc browser to look exactly as my old pc looks. This is very frustrating. I have over 500 bookmarks on my sidebar. it looks like every bookmark i have EVER used. This is ridiculous.

I am attempting to report that Yahoo Finance is broken. From this URL, I use the "report broken site" feature:

When I fill out the information and hit "send", nothing happens. The "report broken site" screen remains active. Hitting Send multiple times has no effect.

I've tried using this feature for other pages, and it appears to work; but it won't work for this site.

Can anyone suggest why that might be? Is it a byproduct of the site's being broken?

I upgraded to 115.9.0 to get OAuth for some, but not all, accounts. Those on Gmail & Yahoo are OAuth. I have non-OAuth accounts on a Zimbra server, and on Panix.com.

It prompts for the first account's password. TBird then gobbles all available CPU on the machine, and stays there. If I wait long enough, it becomes usable again, but that may well be hours.

However, once it calms down, it works normally.

Intertwined with this is: TBird rejects the Zimbra passwords as I enter them. I retry and retry, and then they succeed. I know the passwords are correct; I've even typed them out, and then copy&pasted them in. I'm not sure about the Panix account, if its password works the first time or not.

I tried restarting in troubleshooting mode; it made no difference.

We have a ministry known as ECAM (it's an acronym).. How can I filter on subject lines without also getting every subject containing the word became?

Firefox believes I have a security key.

What is a security key? Where do I find it? Why does Firefox think I have one?

And why is there no helpful information to explain this confusing UX?

I can't open firefox. message says "firefox quit unexpectedly" and it won't reload. I tried Force Quit. I tried restarting my computer. I tried completely shutting computer down and restarting. It happened very suddenly yesterday.

I have been using Firefox as my primary browser for a very long time. Now, every time I start Firefox, I get a message that the update failed, and that I should manually download the update file and run it. I do so, the update appears to work, and Firefox behaves, until I stop it and restart again. Then I get the same message. I looked online - it appears that others have had this problem, but no clear solution. I am not willing to use Edge, but am beginning to wonder if it is time to leave Firefox. WIndows 11 64, AMD processor, 64 GB ram. Connected via ethernet and fiber. NordVPN, and Bitdefender (neither of which has produced any error messages).

im unable to progress further than this and it wont matter because im not interested in any email service that doesnt have at least and preferably more than 15gb storage like gmail. send reply to- [removed from support forum]

I have not been able to highlight and copy ~ even prior to the most recent update.

Even using control/ does not work.

I have been struggling with this problem for about 6 months now and no-one I've asked has been able to help me. Even my computer guru failed me! I think it was after an update about last June when I started having this problem An nothing I've tried has had any effect. I had a Geek Squad guy on the phone with me for about 45 minutes to no effect. He said he'd never seen the problem before. I have business emails on that account so I don't want to risk losing them. Can anyone help me please? Christine

Why is it impossible for Thunderbird to have an option to display the real senders email address instead of just the "fake" display and return address?

I use an addon to add the true address column in version 102, but as usual Mozilla upates disable useful security related updates.

When is Thunderbird going to show this essential true address instead of spending so much time changing the look and feel?

I am stuck with version 102 or another email client until this changes.

I've been using Thunderbird for years and have never had this problem. Since the upgrade today, after I run Thunderbird once and close it I can no longer start it up again. I have to reboot or use Task Manager to kill it in order to run it. This is on Windows 11. Please help - not an acceptable workaround for long. Optionally, how do I downgrade to previous version? I should know better than allow automatic upgrades.

Adding a couple images below, when it has started successfully it shows as one of the Apps in Task Manager. When I close it, Thunderbird drops into the Background Processes but doesn't end. I have to kill it here in order to start it again.
