It happens after i changed my proxy setting few days ago. Now every time after i start Firefox, i have to click option--> proxy setting and then click OK without any changes or mirror changes, it then works.

I cant save my setting in the option--> proxy page. Every time I start firefox, the proxy setting is selected as "manual" with nothing in the ip blanks, although I have changed it to "Auto" last time before i closing it.

The problem is not fixed under the "add-ons disabled" mode. The removal of caches, cookies or sth else do not work either.

What should I do? Plz reply me, it's annoying.

Hi, I have not used my Kodak digital camera since I changed over to Mozilla Firefox and I am unable to connect with the Kodak server.(?) Or Locator. Kodak says to choose tools-preferences and online settings tab. Then 'Use an HTTP Proxy Server and enter my HTTP Address and port Number.' It says to find them in preferences dialog box but I am lost and am unable to find what I need. Can someone help me configure Firefox?

The manual proxy settings no longer work for me with v32.0.3 Windows 32-bit version. I have tried disabling all add-ons, resetting everything, and removing then reinstalling.

Anything else I can try?

One user can log on to the internet - no problem, but other user gets - "The Proxy Server is Refusing Connections. E-mails are good all around. Have checked settings, but can't find any solution.

We are experiencing an issue with random intermittent Mozilla Proxy Authentication prompts. We are running Mozilla firefox in a Windows domain and using a clearswift proxy server. I've tried a large number of configuration changes with Firefox but still get these annoying prompts. This obviously looks bad to our user base. We do not suffer the same issues with IE11 or Google Chrome.

Please can anyone help before we look to remove this software and go for an alternative browser?

Firefox just says "connecting" on the tab and after thirty minutes the page doesn't load. I have tried restarting my computer a few times, and have uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox. It is not a problem with the connection and does not appear to be a problem with my security. I've been using Firefox for over a year on this computer, then suddenly this. What do I do?

I have users trying to download firefox updates, but they are being blocked by the proxy. If I whitelist download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net. Will that give users the ability to download other installs like add-ons?

I'm sending this from my phone because my computer won't connect. I have version 38.0.6 and that it says Funnelcake June 2015, under that is says mozilla37-1.0 It says up to date. Everytime I try to type in an address it says Unable to connect. Can't establish a connection. It won't let me report or troubleshoot because it can't connect to mozilla.org. It's been like this for 30 min. I've tried the refresh, restarting without add ons. Nothing. Help!

I am experiencing a proxy authentication loop on OSX, I have tried from 10.7 to 10.10. It occurs only on the new versions of Firefox. If I use the older versions of Firefox such as versions 36 or version 33 the constant authentication loop does not occur. The problem still occurs if the proxy username and password is saved in system preferences.

Is there a way to have firefox automatically ask me for a proxy when there is a need to login where I am?

I'm at work, and when I connect I need a proxy. However, chrome, IE, opera all ask me automatically my username and password. Not firefox. I know I can set it manually, but I wonder if there is a way for firefox to just prompt me? Its for a one time use so I do not want to set it manually.

I forgot that I need to use my iPad email. My desktop is not speaking to the Internet this week. Troubled shooters are no solution. The closest I can come to the problem is a home page message on chrome. It says "DNS probe finished no internet" not much to go on for me anyway. Appreciate any help anyone can provide. I suspect a proxy problem, but that is way over my head. I am old in years and new in computer talk, so be simple in steps to solve. Thanks. George sends.

firefox crashed on my Mac OSX. When asked to send a crash report, I said no and after that it would not connect. It goes to safe page and then says cannot connect to internet.

I have set FireFox to use a proxy(just the browser not my entire system) but there simply is no prompt for username and password in Preferences: Advanced: Network: Connection settings. Additionally, many times people bring up changes that need to made in about:config but either those preference names no longer exist or they have no effect on this issue.

Does anyone know how to get FireFox to prompt for username/password or where to find the login?

Hello, can't open any windows, just says the connection has timed out. When I try to do a health report it says fhr.cdn.mozilla.net is taking too long to respond. I do use a Canadian proxy on this browser to watch hgtv. But it does not say anything about proxy, and when I turned off the proxy it still would not load.

I use Craigslist a lot and several times have gotten this message (below), and have found that it's a common problem. After researching it have found that it's a common issue and seems most common solution is installing a proxy. I wanted a safe one that is compatible with Firefox, so installed the add on FoxyProxy, but still having the same issue. Thanks for reading and any help would be appreciated.

The Mozilla Firefox desktop icon will not open and says "server not found." Other icons will open. How do I fix this issue and to fix, how do I get Firefox to open?

This happened a month ago and it has been happening frequently ever since. I currently have the latest version of Firefox (41.0.2), and I'm running Windows 10 on my laptop. I'm not sure why Firefox keeps dropping the connection, because Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge is working A-OK. Can this be solved?

In Firefox i set an SOCKS5 proxy. But for the past months it is numerous case that i accidentally accessed webpages being not proxiffied / not using proxy and i was unaware about this and realised the fact too late..

For example after proxy managing plugin installation or i temporarilly disabled proxy.

My aim is to prevent me accessing webpages without proxy. I mean somehow locking the firefox proxy configuration so even plugins cant modiffy my firefox proxy setting.

Just want to be sure i will never access internet without proxy.

Having latest Firefox and WIndows Vista.

PS: i sitll need unproxiffied access to certain websites. I have the whitelist in my Firefox proxy configuration now.
