Save messages in Sent without attachments

HI i would like to how to configurate Thunderbird so that i can save automatically my messages in "sent" with the name but without the contents of the attachments. Exactly as if i had sent the message and then in "sent", use the "delete all attachments" for my message. I see the names but cannot click on them. It spares space on the disk. Thanks for the answers. Anne Marie

You can just use Filelink and send links to the attachment within the message instead of the actual file.
